I bought this for my son for a christmas present it's a good little multi tool it has all the tools you need and is compact enough to fit in your pocket (using the pocket clip). My son and I are both left handed and there isn't anything in the design of this tool that is difficult for us to use, which is a big plus.

Simple and cheap multi tool. But in case of Gerber Crucial simple and cheap completely replaced quality..... Very simple so metal cans and bottle opener are really missing. Cheap : Black paint started to fall off after one week of use. Knife with partial fine and partial serrated blade are unuseful once you get fine part not sharp anymore. Strap cutter is one and only thing that made those knife. .

This is an awesome multi tool. I have the one with sheath but wanted one that can easily clip to my pocket without the sheath. The coating is excellent and it is a perfect size for a pocket.
Does exactly what it says on the tin. Easy to operate most features with one hand. Looks like the belt clip (which I won’t use) can be removed too. A quality product that’s good value for money as always with Gerber. Arrived relatively quickly bearing in mind I ordered from overseas.
Worth the price I paid, mainly EDC in pocket for which it has all the necessary tools, the seatbelt cutter being an added bonus.
The Crucial Black is primarily aimed at Emergency Services workers who need a set of specific tools but dont want to carry a heavy multitool. Everything about this tool is good, but not great; the knife blade is sharp, but is a bit hard to resharpen, the pliers are a little too pointy but work well, the screwdrivers are short but usable, the strap cutter works but is a little short, the liner locks are a little thin and the finish comes off a little to easily. All in all a good, easy to carry option for those who need it.
I’m looking forward to taking this little gem in hikes. Seems like a good size to throw in your pocket or small pack.
As far as I can tell ACE's Crucial is exclusive. It has a cutting hook where other versions have a bottle opener/beiner clip. Two things about this knife. As a sailor I must be able to one-hand open the blade and this does that nicely. But the second point is that the cutting hook is the best way through rope. It will do 1/2" rope in one pass, with no sawing.The pliers are fine and easily opened. The flat and phillips heads work in a pinch, but are two short and rather off-axis to work well. That said, I've got other top-brand multi-tools and this is the one I carry on deck and most other times. I bought a cool little belt buckle to solve the missing bottle opener.
Quality is Average, I like the size and how it fits in my pocket using the pocket clip. I like multi tools with pocket clips, I like the all the tools lock and what got me to buy it was the paracord/twine cutter. Some down sides are the screw driver bits are a little small to use, I'm not a big fan of serrated blades and the pliers a little thin. Overall though I enjoy it and carry it all the time, is very useful and I can depend on it.
