ghd Unplugged Cordless Hair Straightener - Matte White

I can't say enough good things about Beauty Affairs. I've been a loyal customer now for about three years and can't fault their delivery - it feels like I get VIP Express Post when I just make a regular order. I (now) do a lot of online shopping across the board (clothes, shoes, beauty, etc.) and Beauty Affairs stand out from every other vendor I have shopped with throughout COVID as fast, reliable, and essentially flawless in their supply chain when even the previously-good-ones have slowly fallen victim throughout 2021 to COVID disruptions and delays. Whatever they're doing, it works! I will only shop elsewhere for beauty, cosmetics, and perfume on the odd occasion they don't stock a brand I want, but apart from that, I say: MECCA, who? Sephora, what? ^.^

I had a very good experience with Lorena from customer support. I was querying the cost of Youngblood mineral makeup on live chat (excellent product by the way) of which I had bought 2. The cost of the item displayed for sale appeared less than the final checkout price. It turned out the sale price was for a particular color but this was unclear on the page. Lorena looked into the discrepancy immediately and after explaining the reason, offed to give me a refund on that particular sale to compensate for the confusion. She was polite and considerate throughout. It’s good to know that such a fabulous Aussie company has such lovely staff!

But really I wanted to come here and give thanks and my 5 stars to Beauty Affairs! In this current climate (covid) it’s been tough.... I’m a mum of three with a small baby and a child with special needs who as anyone in NSW would know r home doing school.... shops aren’t open anyway and I have been in real need of a “glow up” Beauty Affairs helped me! How? First off, they have great customer service! They’re very friendly and get back to you straight away (given it is within working hours) the pack it and send it and I honestly receive it the next morning! To me those are two of the most important things! I can’t go out I don’t have time to do anything... I appreciate anyone who can get me my stuff quick and who actually get back to you! Excellent hair straightener

Absolutely loving this! Bought it last week, and it has been such a hair saviour specially during wet season! I was a little skeptical at first after reading reviews - mainly about the short battery life to straightened the whole hair. But I have no issues with this! It works excellent like the normal GHD. The battery of course will eventually run flat as it is not a wall plugged GHD. But definitely perfect to have it in my bag for touch up, for this purpose, the battery does not go down for even a bar. My hair is naturally slightly wavy, chin-length bob, asian hair texture. Highly recommend this if you look for something compact and still give you top quality hair finish.

Fantastic!

Great hair straightener. Small enough for a small handbag. It charges quickly but it has to be turned off on the unit before it charges. Information of which isn’t contained in the documentation nor when I phoned the GHD helpline. Overall expensive, but I think it does a great job.

Good for travel

Great compact size for traveling. I had thought u could charge frm a USB but they don't. I would'nt use them while at home as I found they don't last long. It says 20mins, I think it would be lucky if it lasted that long. Even while using on holiday I think u would want to recharge after every use. Otherwise they r great & do the same job as the originals. Probably expensive for what I'm going to be able to use them for as that will only be on holidays. I honestly thought u could charge them in the car etc.

Love this straightener. It's probably not for everyone. If you have heaps of long or thick hair you might not get through your whole head before it needs recharging. But for me, I just need a once over after I blow dry to get my mid-thickness, shoulder length hair really straight so it's perfect. I can use it two or three times on one charge no problem. And I travel A LOT and it's so great. It's smaller than I expected but I also love that for ease of use and travel. Easy to hold and use. I bought the Dyson Corrale, which I hated. This is so much better. And better price.

Not worth the price

I really wanted to love this but unfortunately I think it’s way overpriced for what it does . My issue with it is that it doesn’t hold a charge for very long . I would hate to have long hair because I doubt you would get your whole head of hair done . It also continues to lose charge regardless of whether it’s being used so if you don’t have it continuously on charge it would be flat between uses .Positive as usual Oz hair and beauty’s service was spot on and delivery was so fast .

Perfect for fine shorter hair

I love the cordless GHD as I travel a lot and don’t always have PowerPoints around me.it makes beautiful shiny waves and curls.it runs for approximately 20 minutes ,so it’s perfect for me to go through my hair which is shoulder length and fine.For thick long hair I would just recommend it as a touch up.you can’t use the ghd during charging.which I find a big issue if you run out of batterie during your styling.love the design and little heat resistant travel bag it comes with.

Very disappointed

I wanted to love this so bad but buyer beware. As a forever GHD user, I was so excited for a lightweight, cordless version. And I can confirm it’s very lightweight and easy to use but that’s where it stops. The box and the enclosed pamphlet are very misleading. I regret not reading the GHD product description in full - they start by saying it has the same performance as a corded version but then go on to say it doesn’t actually last long at all - 20 minutes to be exact. That’s all I can get out of mine and even if it’s marketed as a travel straightener, I still need to do my full head of hair when I travel!! It is also not as hot as my corded plates.
