Gucci Rouge A Levres Voile Lip Colour #603 Marina Violet

The packaging is beautiful… however, when I opened it the product looked like it was slightly tilted and smudged (in a production issue sort of way, not tested by someone). The lipstick itself smells like the lipstick my grandmother used to wear. The best way I can explain it is a powdery/plastic scent. It also tastes the way it smells - like old school lipstick. Pretty close to the natural color of my lips, but slightly darker. Very moisturizing, feels similar to a balm, but without feeling too thick, and this product is not extremely shiny. Just the right amount of glow. For reference, Clinique Black Honey was a go to of mine for a long time, but it did not stay long enough on the lips. This lipstick in the shade Peggy Taupe is worth the $62 I spent on it! GUCCI in general never disappoints anyone from their clothing line straight to their beauty line. This lipstick is just a gorgeous mauve nude everyday shade that has hint of a floral scent with a creamy matte formula that glides onto the lips. It is light weight and the pigment is AMAZING! The packaging alone is just a statement to carry around. Anyone looking for a luxury everyday lipstick shade. I always seek for orange shade on all lipstick brand. This Gucci 307 Lous Orange is the shade that I love the most. It’s kind of brick orange, not bright, not dark, fit with my contoured make-up style. The texture’s kind of smooth powder giving a velvet feeling, color comes up fully accurate as described and matte finish. One thing that it’s not stay long compare with many others matte. Can be drift away when drinking or eating easily BUT not dry out the lips at all, may be that’s the point why it’s not really stick long. I think it’s not pricey at all, average. Just slightly good smell. The case is sturdy and heavy enough, giving pricey feeling compare with Charlotte Tilbury to be honest. I really love it overall.

I have been a red lipstick aficionado ever since I can remember and I have tried every single brand starting from wet wild (my junior high days) to Chanel and YSL. I love well made products and Gucci does not disappoint. The packaging is gorgeous and reminiscent to how lipsticks where done back in the day. The lipstick formula is immaculate it glides seamlessly over your lips and will create the perfect matte finish without drying out your lips. The powdery smell of the lipstick may be an issue for those with sensitive noses, but for someone who enjoys the nostalgic fragrance of your mothers of grandmothers lipsticks of times past it will warm your heart as you put it on. Overall a work of art as a lipstick and my favorite of the moment. We’ll worth the splurge.

Extremely pigmented with a plush velvet finish

The first time I used the Gucci Rouge À Lèvres Matte Lipstick, I was blown away with the strong pigment in one stroke and how it's got such a smooth finish! The texture of the lipstick is very much like a plush velvet finish which is very unique, The lipstick doesn't feel drying on the lips at all that I have experienced before with other matte lipsticks, it's very manulable and buildable within colour if you want a bold lip. The colour I have is '208 They met in Argentina' which for me is a deep natural rose pink with a touch of a coral hue underdone which works well as a all year round lipstick with my fair complexion. I find with the Rouge À Lèvres Matte Lipstick can go around 3-4 hours of wear without having to top my lippy up which i'm over all very impressed with!!

My favorite lipstick formula, I usually hate matte

I adore the formula on these lipsticks. I want to slowly get them all. They are super comfortable to wear on the lips, you literally forget they are there. And they last really well, I touch up after I eat, but can even go without touching up with drinks. The color selection is also super interesting, I really am loving Gucci lipsticks, the colors are so interesting and slightly different. They do have a bit of a smell, but I cant smell it as much with the matte as with the satin or worse the sheer lipsticks. But honestly I have grown to like it. And the packaging is spectacular. Its a well done luxury product I enjoy using. Cant wait to see what other colors they come up with and please bring back Louise Orange 307 in matte it was so beautiful. I used to be obsessed with the satin and sheer line, but now I see the matte line is really what its all about. So pigmented and comfortable and beautiful. Wears great as a stain on its own, topped with a gloss, a balm, or worn more opaquely as a strong lip. Very versatile product.

Pretty!

I really love this lipstick! I wasn’t sure if I should get it after reading some of the reviews, but I am so happy I did. First, I do want to say .. in my opinion it doesn’t have a strong smell, it’s actually light and very pretty. I much more prefer fragrance on lipsticks than no preference. Second, this colour is so pretty! I am in my 30s and I was scared the colour may look too young for me. But, it doesn’t ! It’s sheer, so you can build up the colour. I will describe this color as a natural looking color. It looks soft and similar to my lip colour. It is not mate, it’s got a bit of a shine, which looks sooooo pretty! It feels great on and it feels like a luxury lipstick! The case is super luxurious too. I love it!

Silky Lipstick with Great Coverage

This was a lovely creamy lipstick to wear with excellent coverage even after one swipe. I have tan/olive skin and found I was able to wear this daily. The colour was a coral blush nude and when on could be described as an easy to wear, elevated natural lip colour. I found this to be very comfortable to wear and stood up to the usual long wear as well as the eating/drinking test. I also used this without the addition of a lip pencil so the lipstick was really being put to the test! The component of the lipstick is well made and was very luxurious. I did note when first holding the component it was a little thinner than lipsticks I have had in the past but this was a welcome addition as it fits easily into a small clutch etc when space is already tight! The actual bullet of the lipstick was of ordinary size. Overall, this was a lovely versatile lipstick that would suit most skin tones. It can be blotted onto the lips or fully swiped for a fuller coverage which is what I would often opt for (you could even blot a little on the cheeks if looking to meld the look together!). The lipstick is excellent value for money as the coverage is excellent and very comfortable on the lips, a little goes a long way! This would be the perfect colour for day use or for a wedding as it is a beautiful coral hued blush.

So Versatile!

Beautiful and versatile application! A bit drying (no more than any other matte lipstick) but wears beautifully while leaving a nice stain on the lips. I like that I can blot this over chapstick for a "just bitten" Parisian casual look or apply it neatly for a more dramatic, sophisticated look. Best part? It makes the best cream-to-matte blush, too! A few dabs blended onto the apples of each cheek and VOILA! Perfectly flushed cheeks to pair with lips. The tube is perfectly weighted as well - feels decadent. One star off for price and lack of emollient (and because I'm incredibly picky)!
