The Hario Mizudashi coffee pot is nicely engineered and looks smart! Highly recommend for above average to super snobby cold coffee connoisseurs!

The quality and finish on this product can really be felt. It`s a simple piece of gear but it certainly makes the brewing process more enjoyable. The volume indication is very useful. Size is great for for 1-3 people, and although I mainly brew for myself, I tend to drink in a large mug and love a good amount of froth so anything smaller would not be very practical and anything larger is too much for my needs, YMMV of course. The spout shape is great for controlling milk/froth flow. Overall, a great milk jug to assist with making a great cup of coffee, highly recommended.

The product itself is fantastic. Great results with coarse grind. Even works well with finer grinds provided you stir it as you fill with water.The filter itself though is synthetic. I thought it would be metal.Hopefully it lasts.I highly recommend still.Postage however was extremely slow. No updates until I arrived on my door step a week and a half later than was told to expect it.The company should perhaps reconsider their chosen courier service, or otherwise tell people a more realistic timeframe.
I bought the hario cold brew coffee pot a few weeks ago as a gift for someone else and for personal use. Upon receiving it, I had it rinsed and grounds in the pot within minutes. It is very easy to use! The directions say to put it in the fridge for 8 hours but I like a stronger brew so I leave it out at ambient temp, 74 f, for over 12 just fine. The taste is smooth, almost exotic and very flavorful. No bitterness but plenty of caffeine to wake to. Just to note, take your time filling up the carafe with water near the end. It's possible to over flow the grounds if you pour the water over the grounds like I do. I do it make sure all of the grounds get a good soaking before I let it do its magic. The filter is amazing and also easy to wash. Best coffee related thing I've bought in a long time. Will probably buy more for family and friends. Might buy another one for myself so I can make more. Do yourself a favor and get the larger one. It's enough for almost 3 large glasses. By the way, this is coming from someone who generally hates ice coffee because of the burnt taste most ice coffee preparations have. I love my new cold brew.
It works perfect. It's a Great Cold Brew tool for a humble barista to use in his/her home. I have tried a few different grinds: coarse and table salt and also a combination of the two. The filter works perfect for the more coarse grinds, anythings less and sediment will find its way thru and you will end up having to pour it thru another filter when its done. I am not sure of the material that the filter is made up of, but after using it once I could not get the coffee stains off of it. I did not want to scrub too hard and end up damaging the filter. Maybe it's the glass that Hario uses, but it seems to be the coldest thing to the touch in my fridge. Going to order a few more to give as gifts!
The pot is simple to use and clean. Alternative Brewing's instructional video was very useful: simply add ground coffee, fill with cold water, and refrigerate to brew. Using a medium-dark roast at a medium-to-coarse grind, the coffee is drinkable in 12 hours but I find that it’s better after 24 and best after 48. I have the smaller (600ml) pot which gives around 3 cups of coffee. I think its capacity is a bit over 600 if you fill it up. The pot is compact and fits neatly in the door of my fridge. I definitely recommend this product.
Makes smooth tasting coffee; I place light roasted coffee in the brewer and let it steep it for 12 hours, I found that to be a sweet spot. The coffee though quite smooth is a bit cloudy but you could go the extra step and pour it through a paper filter.
These are some real nice jugs. Easy to handle, not messy, and nice to look at.I bought two and it’s pretty fun holding one in each hand, lifting them up, and watching the joy! They give full exposure and taste great too. Highly Recommend these jugs!!
This is exactly what I need in a 600mL jug:- nice narrow pouring spout pours neatly and does not dribble- clear volume markings on the inside, both left and right sides- polished stainless- heavy, at 1mm thick- slightly rounded edges on the steel of the handle, make it just a touch more comfortable than other jugs I've used
