Heston Blumenthal Precision by Salter Kitchen Scale

I have been very active in the kitchen and always felt need for an accurate salter that I could depend on. I have been purchasing some mediocre quality salters (the ones you usually get in retail stores) and to put it in the simplest words, they were far from dependable. Poor build quality, battery running out quickly, inaccurate measurements were some of the issues. Then I ordered this one. The display is large and I really like the white digits on black background. Running out of battery is not a problem anymore as it does not take the button cells that other salters usually do. This runs on 3 AAA batteries which lasts longer. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is interested in a sturdy and accurate salter.

Bought to replace Salter scales at least 20 years old whose display had finally failed. These are more compact and more accurate, but the old ones had a major advantage, which was that the display was angled towards the front. Being level makes it harder to read, as the numbers aren't clear unless seen straight on so you have to lean over and look down, but then if you're using a large bowl it will obscure them. Other features are all more or less the same, so it's a shame to see design going backwards in terms of functionality.

This scale is easy to use, great versatility (solids/liquids etc.). Good design, small footprint. Love the simple AA batteries compared to other brands with more fiddly options. Warranty period is excellent.
