Hoya 72mm Fog No0.5 Filter

The Hoya 72mm Creative FOG No0.5 glass filter is a specialized optical accessory designed to create a subtle dreamy fog effect in photography. This filter features a matte surface that lightly blurs the entire image while maintaining object sharpness and contrast, distinguishing it from traditional soft focus filters. The intensity of the effect can be adjusted by changing the aperture values, with excessive stopping down potentially reducing the visual impact. Hoya offers two variants of FOG filters, with the No0.5 model being the lighter option, and both can be combined to create denser fog-like atmospheres. Constructed with advanced optical technology, this filter uses a special sandwich structure where ground glass is laminated with transparent optical elements to achieve its unique visual properties. The FOG No0.5 filter is particularly effective at enhancing bright areas of the image, making them appear as luminous objects, which is ideal for night photography. In landscape scenarios, it allows photographers to create mythical, fairy-tale atmospheres. With a 72 mm thread diameter, this filter is compatible with various camera lenses and upholds Hoya's reputation for optical quality and precision manufacturing. The filter's construction ensures durability and consistent performance under various photographic conditions.
