I got this guitar literally less than 24 hours after ordering it AMS is awesome! Beautiful sounding instrument, the only reason I gave it 4 stars, is because... And Ibanez makes a great guitar, but for god sakes polish the frets a little better. The one I received Fred's were so rough I had to spend an hour and a half polishing them down to get it comfortable enough to play. But I like working on guitars so it wasn't that big a deal. Thanks to AMS for the quick shipping and customer service.

Overall:Ordered this guitar from zZounds and got it within 2 days. when i first pulled it out of the box I was really amazed by the beautiful finish, the pictures did not do it justice, lots of details in the top finish. I was also so amazed at how light this guitar is, Between the smooth wizard neck and the lightweight and smooth balance of the guitar it is ideal for any playing position. I did have some minor adjustment for the low E and A strings due to fret buzz, but that only took a few minutes to correct. The gorgeous finish, super fast smooth neck, and awesome lightweight is what i just love about this guitar. I have tried several different instruments in this price range and this guitar is by far the best IMHO. my only complaint would be I didn't care to ... All and All I would defiantly recommend this instrument, especially if you are looking for a lightweight shredder and don't wanna break the bank and still have a nice quality instrument it's defiantly that for sure!

I just got this and have been playing it for about an hour, so these are just initial impressions. First, the brown version looks nothing like the pictures on here--it's much darker and richer in color and looks pretty close to other "walnut"-colored Ibanez models available from MF. It looks a lot better in person than the pictures, and I didn't have any issue with the "burl" pattern on the top as did another reviewer. The headstock is very attractive and gives the appearance of a much more expensive guitar. Playability is fine--typical thin, fast Ibanez neck, and the set up seems about right straight out of the box--I only had to tune it. The body seems significantly smaller than other Ibanez guitars I have (a JEM and a Gio). It is VERY light and very comfortable ... The INF pickups are fine--nothing that will blow you away, but for everyday playing, they are perfectly suitable and sound good plugged into my Line 6 Spider IV. I got this for half off normal street price, so I am very happy with it so far. I wouldn't pay normal price for this, but if you can get a deal, it's a worthy guitar.

If you’re looking for an entry level guitar that looks the business and sounds great, then look no further. For the price you’re getting a guitar that looks and sounds more expensive. Visually the matte finish and crimson fade look flawless. The pickups are surprisingly good, definitely better than expected, this guitar practically begs you to shred until your fingers drop off. At this price point you expect some compromises, the nut is cheap plastic, and the pickups can sound a bit muddy / lacking in character. In my opinion any beginner would feel satisfied with this guitar, and when you outgrow it, could make a good base for modding, I’ve got my eyes on a GraphTek nut and bare knuckle passive pickups!
I've been playing for about 9 months (hour and a half every night). I had one of those cheap starcasters that I got from a pawn shop. I decided to get a "real" guitar and researched for about a month. At a pawn shop I decided I liked the lightness and the feel of the neck of these RGs.I ordered from this site so I can get the finish I wanted along with one without a Tremolo. Upon getting this one I immediately started playing a bit better. Sound is cleaner, neck is more comfortable, and I'm able to use my pinky easier (maybe from the flatter fret board).I'm perfectly satisfied though I don't know how much my opinion can matter as I'm a newer player who is comparing this to a very cheap guitar.
I had to send the first one back due to a crack in the paint and rust on the frets. So I had to exchange it. The paint job is absolutely beautify and the neck feels absolutely amazing. The pickups are nice for the price. However they sent me with tone and volume knobs that are bent. I hope its just the plastic that holds the knobs in place, should be an easy cheap fix.
Really nice guitar for the money. Neck feels great and the humbuckers are very versatile. Delivery was fast and the guitar was properly packaged. Took one star off because of a few minor blemishes on the guitar (paint job). You can barely see them, so no big deal.
Personally I don't care for the sound of the pickups but I bought it for my 15 year old son who loves the sound. That said, though, by playing around with the selector switch and the tone knob, I can get a sound I like too. The guitar has a good solid feel. It's not flimsy. Great action. Easy to play for a beginner and no string buzz. Its well set up. I feel like we got excellent value for the price.
Overall:First off the finish was way more beautiful than one in the picture. Like complex clouds you see things in, I never get tired of looking at the blue ocean dancer of guitar. My flavor is blues, latin and folk rock with plenty of expressive “boomer bends”. The neck is great tempting you to pull off improvisational feats live that may been previous more daunting. During a three hour outdoor show, I found myself saying, “Say that again baby! to the guitar.” as I soloed. I had been shopping & testing the excellent PRS guitars, but the price and legendary Wizard 3 neck were too irresistible. I’m glad I bought it. :-)
Overall:I got this for my brithday about 2 years ago. Since then I have done many a thing to this and with this guitar. I replaced the output jack, took out the tone pot to replace it with a killswitch, replaced the 5 way stock blade switch to a 3 way blade switch, switched the bride Pickup for a Dimebag Darrell signature Seymour Duncan and now am replacing the hardware with all black. One thing I did NOT like is that over time the hardware lost its color. That’s why I’m replacing the hardware but other that that I love it.
