JBL Flip 6 Portable Bluetooth Speaker White

This speaker is great! Part of me wishes I’d bought the larger version so it would fill a room better/have more bass. But that would take away from some of the convenience of this one. I think it’s a perfect compromise. It fits on my desk, sounds much better than you’d expect and better than previous versions. I’ve had no issues with the blue tooth connecting. The battery life is amazing! The charge cable that comes with it is really nice quality and I use it for other things as well. I haven’t tried this anywhere wet, so I can’t comment on the waterproofing. But it’s held up indoors and out and through my dirty clay and paint covered hands moving it around while I’m working. If I wanted to use this for outdoors more frequently than indoors, I’d buy the larger one. ... MoreThis speaker is great! Daily use about 10+ hours a day

I purchased 2 JBL Flip 6 speakers and glad I did, I repair swimming pools and got tired of lugging around my job site speaker… it is awesome and more powerful but will utilize that in my shed or outdoors at home from now on. It is big and heavy especially for smaller jobs. Music is a huge part of my life and after purchasing the most recent charge for one of my employees I was browsing JBL’s website and found out you can personalize them. Company logo put on and customized to my liking. These speakers are beautiful in stereo mode and create a nice ambiance and have already been complimented half a dozen times on them. The charge is superior with battery but too bulky for my liking. I also purchased a few flip 5 speakers when they came out and gave them out as gifts. I’m overall happy with my choice and will be using the crap out of them.

Durable Loud Portable Sound

This is the perfect basic, durable, and LOUD portable speaker. It's a little heavy in terms of physical weight, but it seems to be built tough and I find it super easy and intuitive to use. The water-resistant features have made it great for playing music or podcasts while I'm in the shower, while not having to worry about hurting the speaker if I reach out to press a skip/pause/volume button with a wet hand. Same goes for the ability to take it out on the boat or to the beach and not have to freak out if it gets a little splashed. Any teacher who has ever struggled with crappy A/V equipment in class and the "we can't hear it!" complaints may want to consider adding one of these to their classroom toolkit. Holds a charge for a good long time, the battery indicator bar is a nice touch. The landyard is handy for carrying - when I took it on the boat I would add a carabiner so that I could clip it onto something and not worry about it getting knocked overboard or rolling underfoot. The speaker can hold up to being lugged around in a backpack, and it stands pretty sturdy both on its end or in the horizontal position. I'm no audio geek and just wanted a powerful but simple and durable portable speaker - this one delivers.

Great product! But varying sound quality.

This product is great and i love it. I got a GG VERSION (you can find the information in the beginning of your product number, there are, amongst others the GG, TT, TL, CG version, depending on where they are made) and I love this version which has heavier bass that the TT/TL versions. I am however very angry on JBL who in other comments on this page several times claim that there is no difference in the material in the internal components or in the sound between these factories since this can easily be dismissed during disassembly and if you check the sound on the different speakers. This is not a good way to keep customers.I advice any user to disregard these lies and look at some disassembly videos on YouTube, the difference is very clear. I love JBL but play it safe with a protection plan

I love JBL speakers. They sound great and the price is competitive to other brands. This speaker packs a punch and it also has a feature that allows you to connect to more than one (if you choose to buy more). My issue is that this is my 3rd JBL Flip 6. The first one had issues with the power button. The second speaker started to get static and muffled sounding. Luckily I’m a Best Buy Total Tech member and it allows my purchases to be covered for up to 24 months. This made exchanging it very easy but I did end up having to pay a balance on the retail price because when I originally purchased it, it was on sale (Black Friday). Still better than paying full price for a replacement and the replacement speaker is now covered for another 2 years. Hopefully I don’t have ... MoreI love JBL speakers. JBL FLIP 6 - BOLD but not LOUD....It's different!!

The JBL flip 6 offers clarity and balances sound quality with precision. The sound is bold but does not get loud for a party atmosphere. Yes and it’s not a speaker for party music indoor or outdoor. No boom here and we cannot dance to the music. We can meditate listening to loudest songs from SLAYER/MEGADETH and wake up to listen more of the ear piercing metal riffs. But, party/hip-hops/dance/electronic music genre will put you to sleep. The speaker is great for late night listening since every frequency is optimized. I find music sounds better when away from it by about 10ft than near it. The sound waves seem to glide across smoothly. Using the JBL portable app, the low/mid/high frequencies can be further tuned. The FLIP 6 is a 2-way speaker with a midwoofer + tweeter. Build quality is good and all functional buttons are provided in the right place. Battery lasts for about 30 hours keeping the voulme level @ around 26%. I monitor the sound level using Bluetooth Codec changer android app. Pairing is fast enough but tends to get disconnected for few seconds inbetween during playing music for long hours. However, not a major issue. Price is for the development to produce sonic precision sound with clarity and quality. This speaker is totally different and we need to get used to it.

JBL is a keeper!

Comparing Bose, Soundcore, and WonderEars, this one is the keeper. Each of these have their strong points, but with JBL’s design and quality, it is the keeper. The clarity, battery life, sound quality and durability are all fantastic. I’m no producer, so the easy to use equalizer in the app is appreciated. I don’t need to hear this across a football field, so the volume is more than enough for me, WonderEars will be the choice for that. The clarity is what I was looking for, not bass, so if you want bass, JBL definitely has enough in my opinion, I actually turned it down. Bose to me just sounds warm and muffled, too bassy, in comparison, JBL has punchy bass like what you would hear in a car with quality speakers. Piece of Junk

I have many JBL products and such as the boombox and extreme speakers and I’m very happy with them. This thing is on an another level of being garbage. I purchased this about two weeks ago and only used it twice. The first time I used it the speaker performed well. Listened to it not even half volume. The second time I went to use it I was having trouble connecting to it. When it did it the music was skipping, breaking up, and freezing and crackling very bad. I thought it was my phone so my girlfriend connected hers and it had the same problem. What a disappointment. This thing has only been used once and now this. I expected more from JBL but I guess they are turning like everyone else and choosing profit over quality control. Snap Crackle Pop - Buy Another Device

The sound is good enough. My problem is that about half the time I'm using my JBL Flip6, there is a crackling sound. If I turn it off and turn it back on again, it typically goes away, for a while anyway, until my next session. I have read it is interference from other bluetooth devices, but with how many bluetooth devices there are these days, how can I isolate one of them? Hardly possible, and not even a solution because I probably have the other bluetooth device on because I'm, uh, using it? This device is also in perfect condition and has only ever been used indoors.I would expect this from some cheap knockoff, but not a JBL. I would never buy another JBL device again after this. So frustrated...same problem twice

I am beyond frustrated with this product. This is the second JBL Flip 6 I have purchased. I loved my original and had for a good amount of time. Then the speaker stopped charging. When I contacted customer service they told me the speaker had no longer worked due to the lifespan on the product. While they were accommodating they advised me to order a new Flip 6 which I did. Not even 30 days after purchasing my product no longer charges again. As you can imagine, this is incredibly frustrating as this is the same problem they advised me to purchase a new speaker on...which now has me wondering were they just having me purchase a new product from them.
