JBL Flip 6 Portable Waterproof Speaker - Black

I have had the flip 6 for about 3 months now!! I am someone who has went through a lot of little portable Bluetooth speakers. My family spends a lot of time outside, at the creek, rivers, camping. This speaker is so loud!! The videos does this awesome speaker no justice. It’s sturdy, cute, loud, and on top of that waterproof!!! My daughter actually dropped this one in the creek and it still works like it’s brand new!! I love how easily it connects to any device I want to use it with! And you can control it from your phone/other devices, or the speaker itself! It’s got great bass!! You can actually feel the vibrations on whatever it’s sitting on and feel it in your body and soul. Arrived Broken (read to save your time and money)

I received this brand new JBL Flip 6 and of course as everyone else does immediately removed it from the box and packaging and synced it to my phone. I quickly noticed a heavy crackling sound when the bass kicked in, it sounded awful at all volumes. I updated the firmware and adjusted my EQ settings to check if it was an “user error” issue, it was not. Thinking it was perhaps a loose wire or connector I opened the device and found that the plastic white housing underneath the power and Bluetooth buttons was cracked, it appeared that the screws had been over torqued from the factory causing the plastic to split. I applied a significant amount of silicone around the cracked areas of plastic and let it cure, it’s now much better. Clear, precise, perfect Bluetooth speaker!

JBL's have excellent sound quality, are well built, precise sound with perfect bass. I also have Bose's Soundlink Flex and Color II. Bose speakers are smooth sounding with no bass punch or defined highs. Just nice sounding bluetooth speakers. I have JBL's Charge 5 and Flip 6. Both these speakers provide excellent sound quality with precise highs, mids, and bass. As you go up in size one will find more bass coming through. Not room shattering but perfect for the size of each bluetooth speaker. Excellent app for bass and treble adjustments. This was a deal maker for me as Bose does not provide this option in their app. Party mode is good on both. I have 2 Soundlink Flex's and find the stereo sound more balanced. Distorted reality..

I brought it to my 1100 sq, ft. open concept store for Christmas music and had no problem filling the space. I had many customers commenting on where the music was coming from. As for the sound quality, being JBL, it is respectable with strong mids, crisp treble, and surprisingly decent bass from the end pair of 2-in. elements.The battery life on my unit is beyond rated. JBL Flip 6 good enough to buy two or more!

I was introduced to this line of JBLs by my wife. She purchased the JBL Flip 5 and immediately, I was impressed with the amount of clarity and sound emitted from such a small speaker combination. I was so impressed that I purchased a JBL Flip 6 from BestBuy. What I like most was the addition of integration. The ability to not only tune the sound from the JBL app download-able from Google Play but, the ability to link or combine my wife's JBL Flip 5 with my JBL Flip 6. Needless to say, the combination of both left me blown away. Together, they created a surround sound when properly placed. Immersive and rivals that of any competitive products on the market. JBL Flip enthusiast approved!

Ever since the first iteration of the JBL flip, I've always found the each version to be one of the best Bluetooth speakers available. They just keep getting better and better.I was a bit hesitant to purchase the 6, because some reviewers online said there wasn't a big difference between the 5 and the 6. Trying the speakers out on the display at the store, I couldn't really tell. The 'Black Friday' deal enticed me to try out the Flip 6.Boy are the other reviewers wrong, and the in store display/demo's don't do it justice.I'm so glad JBL evolved this into a 2 way speaker. The sound is so much clearer thanks to the addition of the tweeter! But, I get it branding is key and it's important to distinguish between the models (which have been pretty much visually unchanged since the beginning)If I were to guess as to the changes on the FLIP 7 (not that the 6 needs anything changed); I'd say either more power, or a bigger battery. A change in the quantity or size of drivers would most likely result in a form factor change, which wouldn't fit within the product line. So I really have no idea.

Make Sure You Verify its Open-Box Condition!

I'm an indie producer, so I generally appreciate any device or medium that provide the song in the way the producer wanted the song to jam. This has a nice flat response from what I'm able to hear verses the reference tracks I use in the studio. You really are hearing a lot of small instrumentation without EQ'ing.I've heard the 5, and they are voiced the same, but this has an additional tweeter so you can get those tasty mids and high mids, which are usually left in a blah place with portables.Long story short: independent music producer and multi-instrumentalist is quite happy with the product. Small but Impressive Sound

I bought two of these direct from JBL to be able to pair up together. I also have a Boombox 2 to Partyboost all three. These little speakers together in stereo mode may be my preferred indoor listening mode. Great sound. Set up is easy if you do it right. The trick is to pair only one speaker to Bluetooth and press the Partyboost button on the others to get them to join in. Then use the app to get it all going. If I had a wish, I would wish for stereo mode no matter how many speakers are hooked together. Currently you can only do stereo mode with two of the same speakers. They seem to have more depth and range in stereo mode. Partyboost is great for multiple rooms or outdoors but the sound to me is more flat. Still not bad for parties.
