C1 speakers deliver real substance and great audio performance in a format designed for easy fit behind factory grilles. To facilitate fit, multi-application adaptor rings are included for the C1-650 woofers, allowing easy, drop-in installation in vehicles equipped with oversized 6.5-inch and 6.75-inch speaker openings. No, these are not direct plug and play. However, these absolutely will fit with the proper prep/install. I cut the stock speaker from their bracket and reused them along with some home made foam gaskets for the woofers to keep everything air tight. The tweeters with the provided brackets will sit in the factory pods just fine, just use some adhesive to hold them in place and you are good to go. I replaced all my speaker with JL (2-ways in sound bar) and are only powering them with a Sony XAV-AX100 head unit (17w RMS/55w max) and they sound great. Perfect mids/highs to compliment my 12W3v3!

I most recently purchased these and had them installed into my 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sport. They fit perfectly and they sound amazing! Definitely sound better than the stock Speakers... These were installed into the front dashboard Speaker sections and they are absolutely perfect! Definitely will be purchasing again soon for the back Speakers and would highly recommend!

The sound is phenomenal! And this is probably the most important part of your system. I'm running with a cheap stereo and a 12" sub in my station wagon, but the component speakers are what truly define and hold everything together. If you're considering JL audio then get these, you won't be disappointed. These are the clearest sounding speakers I've ever heard and they blend in extra nice with a subwoofer.
Careful! These speakers don't distort much when played too loud. Take it easy and protect your hearing!
Replaced the rubicon factory dash speakers with these.The sound quality is much better. Less bass, but way better mid. Tweeters are a bit bright for my taste butThat can be adjusted on the eq. Not a hard install at all if you have any skill.
I bought the stealth subwoofer box for my 2016 JK a few years ago. I finally got around to upgrading the factory speaks. The tweeters make a great addition. With the subwoofer and new speakers, my music sounds great! I’m happy with the product! I took it to an audio deal for both installs.
Bought these hoping for a big jump in sound quality but to be honest these speakers sound way worse at all volumes and all kinds of music. Maybe I messed something up with the wiring?
I used a pair of these to replace the original premium factory speakers in my MK2 Ford Focus ST-2 with the Sony head unit. They are in the factory locations but with sound deadening/acoustic foam applied to the doors and door cards, plastic speaker mounting rings, rear diffusers and Vibe speaker baffles used to produce as good an install as possible. I mounted the tweeters in the original factory sail panel location - they fit behind the grille with a little modification to the panel. They work well with the Sony head unit which provides more than ample power - they are sensitive speakers and 4 ohm rated like the originals. Clarity and punch are significantly improved over the OE Sony speakers. Music has more depth and sound-staging is better too. Bass appears slightly less present than before but I think this is because of the enhanced clarity rather than a reduction in low frequency output. Both treble and upper mids are smoother and less aggressive than previously. I tend to run bass and treble at 0/0 but use the head units DSP set to optimise right with just myself in the car or optimise all when I have passengers. I dont feel that I need any other form of sound adjustment to get good results from the system.
So I bought these for my 2003 Chevy Avalanche Z71 and was told that the woofer would install easy but as for the tweeter It would be hard to flush mount. Well I had no treat all I was able to flush mount them above the 6.5 in the door and was able to keep the crossover zip tied to the extra back panel on the original Bose set up! Very clear and crisp miss ands tweets and goes great with my stealth box! I was a die hard Fosgate woofer guy and a poof audio mids and tweets but JL Audio has got a new customer for life!
