Joico K-Pak Color Intensity Semi- Permanent - Pink 118ml

Really happy with the quality of this product. It doesn’t smell, makes my hair feels soft and adds a lovely shine after use and colours the hair really well.I wasn’t sure it would take on my hair very well as I had a faded ombré and mostly a natural Mousey brown and didn’t have it lighten to the recommended level but took surprisingly well over my brown as well as the reminder blonde. VERY IMPRESSED. Also there’s surprisingly a lot in the tube, I have very thick, curly hair which is straightened, bought 2 tubes in case and only used 1 to colour. Really good value for money, will definitely be repurchasing!

I have used SO much of this hair color! We had this at my beauty school, so I did a lot of fashion colors there. I also used this brand on myself and friends at home. The color range is so beautiful and impressive! And with a light base you can get gorgeous rich pigmented hair!!! You can use it to slightly tint medium blonde or medium brown hair as well! My daughter has dirty blonde hair, and we have been doing her fringe and crown section with pink for a few years. She loves it! I love it! We all love it! Its also really easy to mix and make your own shades. They also have a clear mixer if you need to lighter or make pastel. I’ve used both magenta indigo, this review is selected for magenta but I will also include my thoughts on the indigo photos for both. MAGENTA: It will come out a bit more on the red side initially, but after a wash or two it starts to die down to a deep hot pink. It is a truly beautiful color, but I will say it transfers A LOT. Be prepared to have it get on sheets, light colored shirts, even the walls if your bed is close to them. That also starts to calm down after a few washes is just a reality for a lot of unnatural colors. For me, the dye stuck to my hair for months I mean it. I had a good at least 4 month run washing my hair about once a week before I really felt like I needed to dye it again. I really feel like it’s a solid representation of Indigo — not too purple or blue in hue. It has much less transfer than the magenta which I loved it stuck very well. The two indigo photos attached are from a month apart so it definitely didn’t have as much staying power as the link but it did fade beautifully.

After I opening it, right away it smells so good! I have thick medium hair and half of the bottle did it for me but buy an extra one just in case! Its affordable! It ranges from $10-$16 in Chatters hair salon and shop. Once you put it in your hair from bottle or using a bowl/brush (which is what I recommend) it goes on really well, very conditioning! I am a fitness instructor and never had this sweat out, it won't even wash out unless you use shampoo! Brilliant colours, conditioning feel. No mess squeezing bottle. Do it. Buy it

FINALLY and no mixing!

I have natural grey white hair that gets yellow tones on the ends. I have tried so many purple products that did not work to remove the yellow and they left my scalp in such a bad condition I thought I was going to need to see a dermatologist. I used the Joico platinum color intensity and cannot believe.... I looked in the mirror and actually jumped up and down saying yes, yes, yes. It was the most beautiful pale silver grey tone color. It did not stain my hands. I just used it as a rinse through toner. My scalp feels so good, no itching at all. Now I have a ton of purple products to throw away. Thank you Joico. Please do not discontinue this product and this platinum shade.

Love it, exactly what I had hoped for

My hair is naturally dark brown. However, after box dying it black and then stripping that color out, part of my hair had a bronze kind of tone to it. I wanted something to cover it up that would be subtle. I didn’t want dark dyes or something that would be super noticeable. It’s subtle! I much prefer the color of this dye compared to the yucky bronze I had going on lol. I didn’t bother dying my dark roots as I knew the dye wouldn’t show up there. Anyhow, the price is good on these. And this color didn’t stain my skin or the tub after rinsing mt hair. The darker colors from this line tend to stain and bleed quite badly. So it’s a win win for me. No awful smell with these temp. Been using the amythest over my natural colour hair, and have had a great result. Colour is vibrant, and lasts! All semi-perm colours bleed a bit for the first week, but that is what old pillowcases are for. (Use old cases on pillows for the first week after a colour touch up. Have not had to bleach or lighten my hair to get the colour to show. And as long as I don’t use dandruff shampoo or clarifying shampoo I can get up to 8 weeks before my root growth forces me to touch up the colour.I have shoulder length hair, and I use half a tube at the most each time. When my hair was halfway down my back, I only used half a tube. When I measured it out on a kitchen scale, for long hair, I did 2.5 oz product and 1.5 oz conditioner. This tube of color did everything the label promised! Very easy to use! I will repurchase this many times over and try the other colors offered as well. It will temporarily stain your bathroom and skin/clothing, so be careful, and prep an area to use it in and definitely wear gloves. If you get it on a towel it will wash out after a few washes. I have a couple of towels set aside just for my hair so it doesn’t matter if it gets stained. Have your tub and shower cleaner close by so you can clean up any stains right away. This product is definitely worth the extra cleanup!

Unexpected but FUN results!

We love Joico Color Intensity for fun temporary hair colors. It is the only brand we use anymore. Lilac was fun but turned out different than expected. We applied it to two previously bleached chunky stripes framing the face. The pinkish lilac at the roots transitioned to a more blue shade and then almost green at the ends. More icy than expected and a very “unicorn hair” effect. Not at all what we were going for, but my daughter loved it and has gotten so many compliments. It looks very intentional and professional even though accidental. Haha. It does fade rather quickly. We have had to reapply after every couple of washes to keep it bright.
