I am always cold and sleep does not come easily for me when it is below 50° at night (extreme I know). This was perfect! I used it when it was below freezing with snow on the ground and between the Kylmit pad and my quilt I FINALLY slept all night. I even had some jet boiled coffee waiting for me when I woke up (bonus points for him)! It weighed 19.6 ounces so a little heavier than most like, but it was worth the extra ounces. I'm 5'3" so length was obviously not an issue. It did not deflate when I moved around on it or propped myself up on my elbow. Definitely recommend !

I traveled to thirteen countries all over the world with this sleeping pad. It’s lasted me this whole year of traveling and many more to come. I love the comfortability of it because I’m a tall guy so it allows me to roll over and the length is perfect! My favorite feature of the Klymit Static V sleeping pad is how small it packs down. Traveling to different places allows me to stow it in my big pack with room to spare or you can put it in a smaller Daypack if you’re wanting a shorter trip. The insulation keeps has kept me warm on cold nights and it really only takes 10 breaths to blow up. Unlike other sleeping pads it also reduces odor from long term use. I’ve only washed mine once and it’s still in great condition! Highly recommend this product for any camper, ... MoreI traveled to thirteen countries all over the world with this sleeping pad. I purchased the Static V pad to be my single three-season pad. I wanted a pad that was reasonably priced had an R-value greater than 4, and would not sound like I was sleeping on crinkle paper. This pad fits the bill perfectly. I used it this fall in temps in the low 50's and was very comfortable. It's easy to inflate and deflate. Highly recommend this.

This new pad (Klymit Static V) replaces a 20-year old 3/4 length, 1” thick Thermarest. I gained two ounces! But I also gained 1) full length, 2) slightly wider, and 3) a much thicker sleeping pad.The Klymit’s “terrain” is not bad, and that construction helps me to stay on the pad. I had tried the “best” pad on the market, but I slipped off the edges. With my old Thermarest, the descent was less than an inch. But from that other (“best”?) one, a good three-inch drop. With the Klymit? I stay on much better!I also thought the price was really much more digestible than some other pads, which was all bonus.
Spent 4 days in the BWCA using this pad. Temps only down to the mid 40s so not a good test of the insulating capabilities. I had to pick a less then desirable tent spot due to near constant rain leaving most flat level ground with standing water. I was comfortable and noticeably warmer than the closed cell foam pads I am accustomed to. It packs down nice and small. Inflating was quick and easy. Air seemed to get trapped when trying to deflate. I would buy again.
Arrived safely and fast. Didn't have any great expectations, just wanted a good sleeping pad. After opening and a brief inspection, I decided to inflate it, 15 or so puffs of air and presto! So far, everything is as advertised. Decided to test it. I put it on the guest room bed and have been sleeping on it for almost 2 weeks now. I love it! Comfortable, holds air, and cool to sleep on. Only negative observation would be noise. It crinkles like crushing a paper grocery bag.... but after a good night's sleep, that's easy to forgive! Thank you!
I bought this sleeping pad because I borrowed from a friend. After sleeping on it one night, I fell in love. It's really easy to get it fully inflated, it doesn't make me feel like I'm going to pass out after filling it. Which is always a plus. It helped keep me warm in 20-30 degree weather, so I definitely recommend this insulated version. I like the rectangular shape and it isn't noisy like a lot of the other sleeping pads are. It's definitely not the lightest sleeping pad out there, but I think for the price, it's a pretty awesome pad.
I splurged on this after a sad overnight on my old closed-cell foam pad. This is a huge upgrade, almost as comfy as my bed! Now, when you sit on this you will hit the ground, but don't get scared. You need to lie down on it to spread out the weight among all of the baffles. I'm about 150 lbs and curvy, and when I slept on my back my butt did touch bottom slightly, but it was still very comfortable. (I probably could inflate it more to address that, but I didn't want it to feel too hard.) I used it for 5 days and didn't need to adjust it at all.The valve was fairly easy to figure out and it took only a few more than "12 breaths" to inflate the sleeping pad. I had no confidence that it would ever pack back into that tiny sack, but it did! So nice to have a product ... MoreI splurged on this after a sad overnight on my old closed-cell foam pad. I have tried several sleep mats whilst on weekend sleep outs. At last I have found one that doesnt weigh a tonne, allows me to sleep on the side and didnt cost the earth. It is a quiet mat as well. Another mat I have sounds like you are sleeping on a rubber ball when ever you move. This one is quiet in comparison. A few friends have told me there are lighter mats on the market but my budget doesnt stretch that high. I would recommend this mat for anyone who sleeps on their side and want a quiet night when they move around.
I was on the fence about adding this to my gear but I am glad that I did. It is SUPREMELY comfortable and makes camping trips all the more pleasant because you get a good nights rest. MUCH more comfortable than a closed cell pad alone. I took my closed cell and the klymit on a trip to the adirondacks recently and it worked out great. Doesnt add much to your pack weight given the comfort level. I would shave off weight in other places and make room for this. 18 ounces isnt bad considering the huge difference it makes. I decided to go with this one over the mor einsulated version of it, and instead combined it with my close cell pad. The total weight came out to about the same as it would have been for the heavier kylmit pad alone. But this way I have the ability to ... Also The closed cell pad serves as an insurance policy for if the klymit pops a leak int he backcountry, while also minimizing the chances of leakes to begin with if you put it under the klymit. Overall, you cant go wrong with this pad. Folds down to nothing, very easy to inflate it takes like 10 seconds and fairly lightweight for the addition of comort. Its worth every ounce on the trail.
