I have watery eyes which can also be sensitive so needed a new mascara for my holiday, I have recently started to use products from La Roche-Posay so was intrigued when I noticed they did a waterproof mascara and thought I would give it a whirl. I can honestly say it is the nicest mascara I have used, it doesn’t sting my eyes, it’s so lightweight you wouldn’t know you are wearing it, it doesn’t flake or smudge and stays put all day. I have always used eyelash curlers but this mascara still gives them a nice lift along with giving my lashes really good length and volume. It is also easy to remove without using any force. If you need a waterproof mascara please give this a try!

I have used La Roche-Posay Toleriane Mascara in the past and I thought it was awesome. This time, though, something has changed. It does not smell pretty (the other product I purchased actually had a floral scent)....but, more disappointing, was that after using it my eyes started to burn. So I am definitely sensitive to this product which must have been reformulated since my first purchase. Disappointing.

I was at loss when I just couldn't stand to wear my go to cover girl waterproof mascara (green). Just the fumes of putting it on started burning. I read review after review for something that wouldn't hurt.This does not burn in any way, does not irritate if I forget to take it off!I've been using Neutragena gentle wiped to remove it, but getting some here, soon. And some other things, too, now! I can't recommend it enough, you must try it!

I’ve got really sensitive eyes and have a few allergies too which makes them itch/feel sore (and also am a contact lens wearer) so thought I’d give this a try as according to the description this mascara suits those problems. Result = fantastic! Glides on really easily, opens eyes, lengthens lashes, provides volume, doesn’t flake and is a deep black. When my eyes water (or I rub them a little) there’s no transference and the mascara stays in place. Also, despite being waterproof, it comes off so easily with makeup remover without rubbing (which is exactly what I need for sensitive eyes). This is my go-to mascara now, wouldn’t be without it! La Roche-Posay really know what they’re doing - definitely recommend!
Wish I had read all the negative reviews as I found that in common with other users this mascara flakes off really badly and gets into your eyes. I had three days of not wearing makeup as my eyes really hurt.I wear mascara every day on top and bottom lashes and when I checked the reviews I did see that one person sent a photo with the mascara on the top lashes only, and was happy with it. It’s probably because the mascara was not in contact with her makeup or eye cream, whereas I use both. I am disappointed as I have purchased all the range of La Roche Posay skincare and am happy with it. Shame about the mascara that is no use to me and I’ve lost £14.
I've always had problems with sensitivity: I have food allergies, hayfever and regardless of what the labelling says, my eyes have always reacted badly to mascara. Finally, I've met a mascara I can wear with no problems. I found one coat plenty to give a natural looking pop to my eyes with no flaking or clumping.Once dried, this stuff stays put. Be warned, you'll want to invest in the Respectissime waterproof remover because normal eye makeup remover won't work, neither will the all purpose wipes which claim they also remove waterproof eye makeup. I was never able to wear mascara often because my lid and lash line would become extremely itchy and my eyes would become dry and irritated. This mascara managed to last several 12h night shifts in full PPE and didn't bother me at all. I even caught myself rubbing my eyes a bit as I was getting tired, and still even with contacts in my eyes were fine. Before with other mascaras rubbing my eyes would cause mascara flakes to get in my eyes and I'd have to take my contacts out and rinse them off. I love when I go on holidays and I am shopping at the airport that for once I can pass on all the other mascara's just tempting me to buy them and I say to them, Ha Ha I have a much better mascara than you and it is so reasonably priced!! Just try it for yourself and you will never leave it, for me it is The Best.
Does not come off. At all. Bought the product as an alternative to the NON waterproof kind (at the suggestion of a Roche representative), which wasn’t available anywhere. The non-waterproof kind is absolutely incredible, however, this one (the waterproof version) literally did not come off even with facial cleanser and resulted in eyelashes being pulled out.
Anyone looking for a mascara that darkens light-coloured lashes & goes on quite thickly, then this may be for you. I have dark lashes, but this REALLY coats the lashes in rich black. Personally I don't like the brush, as the mascara applies very thickly onto the lashes, but doesn't give nice definition. It sometimes gives a spider leg appearance, sometimes just looks like a thick glob. A positive is that you don't need to apply multiple layers for good coverage. I find it works best & can even give a nice result when I apply a generous, even layer all over my lashes & then thin it out / separate the lashes using a spare spoolie. I have hooded eyes & the mascara always rubs off onto my eyelids during the day. If I accidentally touch my dried lashes, it wont come that easily off onto my finger or cause a smudge. Holds a little bit of an eyelash curl, but not much. I like it, but at the same time it just smudges far too much.
