I bought a pair of these to replace my (similar looking) Cole and Mason mills (which were great except that, being made of steel, the salt mill became corroded, which ruined the finish).Yes, they're attractive, they're made of plastic (so no corrosion) and they have ceramic grinders. But they just don't force the salt or pepper into the grinder, as a result of which they don't actually work. The pepper mill is better than the salt mill, but even that needs a regular shake to actually get peppercorns into the grinder.Avoid.

I love these salt and pepper mills. I've gone for the meringue colour because i felt it would go with everything but sometimes I wish i'd been braver and got a more flashy colour. They grind the salt and pepper very finely, so if you like chunks then these probably arent for you but i couldn't recommend them higher.

I am filling them right now!!! Pepper mill is being filled with special beautiful peppercorns that I bought specifically for this pepper mill! And, the salt grinder is being filled with beautiful Himalayan salt from San Francisco Salt Co!!! So excited! It?s the little things!!!

I ordered the salt mill in Meringue and while there is nothing wrong with the salt mill I have received it is in fact cream and not meringue. Although it is labelled meringue I know from other products that I have bought and a pepper mill I already have that meringue has a gradation of colour. It starts off with light cream - almost white at the top and gradually becomes darker at the bottom where it has a hint of light brown to mimic the effect of cooked meringue. Unfortunately I will be returning this product.
I bought both the Le Creuset Salt and Pepper Mills. I love the colors (Hibiscus and Cassis) and I can say that they serve their purpose... to grind salt and pepper, though I found that the "coarse" counterclockwise turn is not only awkward but the result is not very coarse. I knew that these mills were a combination of plastic and ceramic. I didn't expect so much plastic. Not for Le Creuset and for the price. One of the grinders came with a scratch already on it. I'm always wiping up salt from underneath the grinder- after each use, finely ground salt collects as it falls out of the bottom. I'm disappointing in these and I wanted to love them so. I kept them, mostly out of laziness and, as mentioned above, I do love the colors. I would not purchase these grinders again.
Love my new salt mill. Sturdy and easy to use. Worth every penny. I also bought the matching pepper mill. Beautiful finish and would look great in my kitchen or on my table, however I changed my mind when I went to collect and purchased the exact same salt mill in the Marseille Blue instead.
I’m so happy with this purchase, and its speedy delivery. I hesitated to do an online purchase thinking that the finish might look like plastic, but they look very stylish and are beautifully designed with the colour gradation. The mechanism provides a smooth grinding action, and the ten-year warranty is good security against any malfunction.
Exactly as described, without the price gouging. I had unsuccessfully ordered this Item from a few people and either got damaged items OR the pepper grinder which I already have two of. Surprisingly I didnt think Id want to grind my Kosher salt but the quality and way the ceramic grinder distributes the salt evenly, Im glad I got it. Im tired of cleaning and drying my hands before and after salt sprinkles lol. This is more sanitary and faster when cooking and marinading!
I bought the salt mill for a Christmas present, because there mill was broken. I couldn’t get it in teal to match, so I bought the “ meringue “ one. I bought the same color for myself. It looks great with the “grey” pepper mill. Great price, got in on sale, and shipping was the same price, if I had just bought one.
Have had for a few weeks and found the salt and pepper mill to work very well. You can adjust the coarseness of the salt and pepper very easily. they are easy to fill and use. The salt and pepper comes out smoothly. colors are beautiful. they were slightly lighter weight than I thought they would be. I have the regular salt and pepper shakers and they seemed more solid and heavier. In any case, I would not hesitate to buy them for the price. They serve the purpose well!
