Beautifully constructed pan, and the combination of cast iron pan & wooden handle gives a great look. It is inevitably very heavy, and indeed wouldn’t be le Crueset if it wasn’t. This does mean that hand tossing (which many might associate with ‘sautéing’ ) is impossible, without superpowers. Certainly the best frying pan I’ve used, and I would expect it to long outlive me.

Came with a big scratch on the outside crating. Not sure what quality control we’re doing but it did not really effect the inside coating so I could not be bothered to complain

Bought the sauté pan 10years ago... didn't know how to manage it... after couple times if buring it, didn't use since then. 10years later, I am so glad I didn't resell it. Maybe my cooking knowledge has improved? It is really a non-stick pan to me now! Sunny egg? No problem! Love the depth of the pan also. Somehow this enameled surface has less oil splash than traditional non-stick or stainless steel frying pan, which is a huge plus as well. The pan is very heavy though, beware. All in all, I am so happy I kept the pan and didn't give up!!!

Don’t get me wrong it’s a very heavy pan so not for everyone. However the pan is great. Holds heat incredibly well and the release from the black enamel is far better than I expected.
I ordered this pan from the Le Creuset website and it arrived two weeks ago with a cracked handle. I have emailed customer service on 2 occasions and have yet to receive a response as to how I go about getting a replacement handle (or even an acknowledgement of my email). Given the price of this pan and the fact that it was broken on arrival, I expect better customer service.
I love this pan. No, Ceramic cast iron are not non-stick, don't expect them to be! They are easy cleanup, though, which makes washing up simple. Great heat rentention, brilliant for searing steak or chicken breasts, brilliant for sauces, casserole, rigatoni etc.
Great product! I am very happy about this pan, I have been using it for all different types of cooking for a year now, and I still love it. The only disadvantage is that is a bit heavy.
Have it for about a year now and this pan is brilliant. Using it almost every day for all sorts of things and it's a pleasure.

I really haven't looked back since purchasing this. It has replaced the large non-stick pans I was going through every couple of years. You cook with a slightly different technique, using a lower heat and allowing the pan to warm up gently until it's really hot, so that takes longer -- but honestly, it manages to be an even better non stick surface that so-called "non stick" pans, and you won't be ingesting the non stick coating chemicals either. I've had it for a few months, but right now I have no reason to believe it won't last a lifetime.
