The first set that I purchased since being addicted to LEGO again is the lego star wars millennium falcon. My first impressions on just holding the box was “Wow!” The box art is pretty amazing and I especially like the blue tones LEGO used. The retail price for this set is $139.99. This set contains 1254 pieces and is recommended for ages 9-14. The box contains two instruction booklets and 15 bags that are numbered 1-6 and one unnumbered bag.

First of all, please take note of the recommended minimum age of 9-14 years. It's there for a reason. It's a pretty good size and contains a good amount of mini figures. You get Han, Chewie, Luke, Leia, Darth Vader, and Obi-Wan. The price point is around $135, but I've seen it go on sale for less, also if you check the Lego Store, they have special deals on sets sometimes. My fiance and I were able to build to build this set in about 3 hours. It might take beginner builders 4-6 hours though, but it really is worth it. It's pretty sturdy, and you can actually play with it without it falling apart-that's Lego quality for you!

Wow! Just wow! This product does impress. It is the largest piece wise Lego products out there and it will take you quite awhile to build. It is also very impressive in size taking up about 2 feet. The attention to detail is just phenomenal. You will not be disappointed.

First off, let me say, Legos are exhausting. Especially if your child is not ready for them yet. Your child really needs to be into Legos to truly enjoy them. Being into Star Wars is a plus for this toy as well. My middle child is finally of the age where he needs NO assistance with these toys, that's a total plus for this one because it takes a LONG time. If your child stops, make them make sure they know EXACTLY where they stopped. Lego has gotten great about putting different steps in labeled bags, so that is a plus. I'd say if your child is a fan of both Star Wars and Lego than this is a great product to buy! If they're just a fan of one or the other, don't bother.
This kit is a great alternative to the collector's version which in my opinion is way too expensive!!!. It does have some repetitive steps to the build and not the extreme detail like the collector version, but has all the major figures which sit quite well in the interior. Has some great features and can open up the falcon to see different parts of the interior. This Falcon is the one to get without the expense. Looks nice as well.
We love Lego in our household. I loved Lego as a kid and introduced it to my son when he showed interest in puzzles. I will sit with the book and point out where to put pieces until he gets bored. Then when the project is done he gets to say he helped build it. Lego's are a great toy for strengthening motor skills and imagination development. Just be sure not to give them to your kids if they are prone to putting things in their mouth. Great learning toy. We love Star Wars too and I can't wait to give this to him on his Birthday.
This hard to find version is an awesome addition, more resembling the first Millennium Falcon in the movies. Any Star Wars fan would be very pleased with the design, construction, and sturdiness of this Falcon. Easy to follow instructions, and moving parts. Even has the inside hatch for characters to hide. Highly recommended for Lego lovers and Star Wars fans!!
The set is not too challenging , but it great fun to build. I actually had to build it twice. the first time took 8 hours @ 4 hours 2 day for 2 days. I held it in the wrong position the first time and rebuilt it in less than 4 hours. The only thing missing is electronic sounds . As one of the greatest ships in Star Wars I always wanted the Falcon and this is the closest thing I have seen to the Kenner version that came out years ago. Lego is great with details and this one does not lack. The price tag can bite you if you don't catch it @ the right time, but after building it , it was worth it.
The Lego kit was exactly what I ordered. This was not an inexpensive item. The packaging looked like someone ran over it with a truck. This was purchased as a birthday gift and I am almost embarrassed to give it because the package looked so beaten up and had been taped multiple times. This is the packaging inside the delivery box so it came from Wal-Mart that way. The delivery box was beaten up some as well. There was no paperwork inside the box so that may be missing if it was suppose to be there. Not very happy.
After attempting to build the falcon based on the manual I noticed 5-10 LEGO pieces were missing entirely. Luckily most of the pieces missing did not affect the entirety of the Falcon. Regardless i was slightly disappointed considering how much I paid
