This microwave is a huge upgrade from my last one, the view of matte black creates a modern and sleek look in my kitchen. To start off with, the controls on the surface of the microwave are like a touchscreen, there are simple controls which make it really quick, simple and easy to set a time limit. This microwave has been such a game changer in my kitchen. It heats my food up so fast and the best part is the middle doesn’t stay cold. It evenly and quickly heats up food! I think LG have put a lot of thought into the design of this and how it can accommodate simple daily tasks in the kitchen. It is really easy to use and doesn’t have any complicated buttons. I also love how sleek the design is so it looks good in the kitchen as well. Oh and did I mention it has the sweetest happy tune when your food is finished being heated it makes me laugh every time! A very good larger-capacity microwave.

A good, larger microwave which has excellent internal capacity for it's external dimensions - it takes medium to large oval or rectangular dishes quite easily. Heats food/liquids very effectively and quickly. The LG operating system is a bit different to other brands but it's intuitive and easy to use when you get used to it. The interior is smooth and very easy to clean. The door latch/hinge are solid and the door opening mechanism couldn't be simpler and the unit has enough weight that it doesn't move about when you open the door. The all-black facade is visually seamless and unobtrusive - which is good because this isn't a small microwave. Overall, I think this is a very well-designed microwave oven which looks good and works well.

Byb bya Panasonic! Hello LG Microwaves

Latest Panasonic died. After 35 years of Panasonics, they last less and less. The push to open door mechanism has died on two - poor design. Their latest offering "The Flatbed" gets panned online. Hello LG! Likes: Choice Awards, No door push button :-), more room, bright LED. Logic different but learning. Looks great. Let see how long it lasts!

Died and the warranty is useless

Bought in Dec 2018, magnetron went October 2022. The magnetron has an 8-year warranty, BUT to get them to replace the part free of charge under the warranty, you first have to PAY for a service and then PAY for labour. That's not a warranty. A warranty means when the product fails you fix or replace the appliance FOR NO CHARGE. The call centre also told me the "10-year warranty" is 2-year manufacturer's warranty + 8-year magnetron warranty. That's NOT a 10-year warranty! My last microwave lasted 20 years. This is the first LG product I've ever purchased. Never again.

Elegant and efficient

I use microwaves mainly for reheating or thawing. My old one is a 32L Panasonic which is still working well after almost a decade but have rusted at the bottom thats why I deemed it could be potentially harmful to use. When I was shopping for a new one, I read reviews of different brands and the LG NeoChef series caught my attention the most because of the unique features they have. I thought of our LG washing machine which has been serving us efficiently for a decade as well so I said it is a reliable brand. I have been using this for a couple of weeks and I can say I am pretty impressed of the power efficiency. It has cut my reheating time in half and thawing is complete and even within in a shorter time than in my old one. It is easier to clean inside as the splattered food do not stick even left unnoticed until the next day. I like the sweet chime at the end of cooking which bother some. Overall, I am very happy with my new find. It is delivering what it promised in the features and the biggest bonus is that it looks so elegant in my kitchen. I hope to have it for a long time.

Good when it worked

We bought the microwave at the end of 2019 and initially were happy with it. We started having issues with lack of heating pretty much as soon as the warranty expired. I called LG and the response I received was that they couldn't perform a remote diagnosis nor could they do anything else. The microwave has finally died. Having spent some time reading reviews I see this is a common problem with not just this model but other models Unfortunately this is not the first time I have had a lg product fail just out of warranty or had a bad service experience with LG support. I am sure that landfill must be full of failed LG products

Product is badly let down by useless service.

Purchased 24-1-2020 Failed 27-7-2021 When it worked it wasn't bad. I wish you could turn of or at least turn down all the bells and chimes. Not as quiet as I would like. When it failed I phoned lg's service line. I would have to take it to an authorised agent that is 2 hours drive away. Really. Is there no other place that is willing to service these ? At this price point why not just replace the unit outright. If that's their best, I will join all my friends in never buying another lg product. The thought of having to call them again has resulted in me throwing it in the bin.

Slow heating and broke twice, 2nd time not covered

We had this microwave for less than 3 years. After just over 1 year it stopped heating. This was covered under warranty. Less than a year later it stopped heating again. Only part of the issue was covered and would have cost us $220 to repair. It was also a little slow at heating when compared to our previous microwave (same power).

Very disappointing microwave

Just 2 months after the 2-year warranty ran out the touch panel no longer works so it can't be used. I can't believe a microwave that cost over $300 should die after just 2 years. Of course the timing couldn't be worse. It died 4pm on New Year's Eve so the repair places are all closed for the next 10 days so we either go without the microwave or go out in a couple of days when the shops are open again and buy another one. No idea how much the repair will be either so it may be not even worth fixing. Definitely won't be buying an LG in future.
