Magimix 5200XL Food Processor - Chrome

I bought this to replace a 2 yr old Kitchen Aid processor, & it is a breath of fresh air. The Kitchen Aid was rubbish, made in China, & didn’t chop veges properly (they just go round & round) & it was so light weight, it would move around the bench! This Magimix is made in France, hence the price tag, but it is a vastly superior machine to the Kitchen Aid. Very happy with the purchase. I should add that I previously had an old Kitchen Aid which was fabulous, but it needed new parts & they’re no longer available, hence buying the newer, very disappointing one. If you need a good machine, get the Magimix.

The Magimix has amazing processing speed and power. I now knead dough in thirty seconds which is a vast improvement to kneading by hand for twenty minutes! It is easily cleaned with parts able to go into the dishwasher. It looks beautiful – displayed on a shelf in the kitchen within easy reach. Though I have not yet had the opportunity to try out all its capabilities, the prospect is exciting. Now, in my home kitchen, preparing recipes will be made far easier for the whole family. Excellent piece of equipment

The best food processor in the market. This is my third in 35 years as a chef/caterer. I believe its performance is superior to the more expensive Robot Coupe. It mixes/blends/slices etc to perfection. Love it!

Fantastic kit

It has everything you need, but I hope you have room for all the parts, there's so much stuff. I haven't received my free spiral kit yet but struggling to find space to fit everything. Love the boxes the blades go in but almost need one for everything else.It takes a while to get used to and using all the parts correctly but it does what it says. I've had for over a week and used nearly everyday and i still haven't used all the functions. Must be located near a sink to reduce mess and rinse out when doing lots.Its not as loud as my old one but has a deeper sound rather than the high pitch my old one had. High quality

Very happy with this purchase. I decided to go for the biggest capacity model and I'm pleased that I did, as it gives me the option to make larger quantities and does not affect the weight or size of the machine. While it is a solid machine it's not too heavy to lift and designed really well for storage (the bowls fit into each other, and the blades come with their own storage box, so does not take up too much room). I have found it really easy to use as it has simple basic controls, and it's also easy to clean. It was a bit loud when grinding nuts but think that all food processors are. Magimix 5200XL food processor

I am very satisfied with the product, I have been using it daily to make different dishes such as hummus, pesto, tofu nuggets mixture, slicing apples for a crumble, grating zucchini for quiches, chopping onions and garlic and chopping nuts for Baklawa. It is quieter than my previous food processor and very efficient. I love the three sizes of bowls and use the small one very often.The blades are very sharp.Only downside is the cleaning as it is recommended to wash by hand.

Should have got the breville

Unnecessary 'safety' processes make this a hassle to use, there's multiple locks that have to be done in specific order to assemble/use/disassemble. The wider chute is pointless because the pusher has to engage to activate the motor, so longer items still need to be cut. Plastic is a bit flimsy. Juice attachment does not efficiently extract juice. On/off mechanism opaque so hard to know if you have left it switched on. All in all I regret not getting another breville for ease of use and durability.

I am so thrilled with my Magimix 5200XL so far! It feels so solid and sturdy and is super easy to use.We are a family of 5 and my husband bought me a cheaper (but supposedly still good quality) kitchenaid food processor 3 years ago whose motor wasn’t so powerful and just couldn’t cope with the quantities I was trying to work with - so the blade would often jam when I was making things like bliss balls or burgers. I’d often also find myself fiddling around taking the lid on and off so I could push ingredients back down into the bowl to be blended properly. It ended up being easier/faster just to do things by hand or with a stick blender :-(So The first thing I made with my new magimix was lamb burgers and it chopped up the onion and parsley so finely and then ... MoreI am so thrilled with my Magimix 5200XL so far! I am thoroughly delighted with my Magimix! It is an early Christmas present and I have already made great use of it, so by Christmas, I'll be an expert!It really is a great product. It makes all the jobs of chopping, slicing , mixing etc so much quicker and easier. The smoothness and ease of use is fabulous. The different sized bowls and slicing discs and the feeding tubes are great and extremely useful. no more using a huge bowl just to to grate or slice something.I would recommend this product to anyone. At first glance it may seem more expensive than others, but the quality of it and it's ease of use (I am disabled so this is important) make it worth the higher price.

So pleased with my new food processor. I've had another brand for over 25 years as a wedding present but have stepped up my culinary skills and needed a food processor that could give me more. This does just that. The pastry was light and pliable, the coleslaw shredded to perfection with minimum effort and the mayo did not split! It has many features and many extra appliances. Its heavy so needs ideally stay out on your work bench but as its so stylish that's not a problem. The case that holds the shredding and slicing discs and blades is very useful and prevents cut fingers or blunting of the edges if they were otherwise kept in a drawer.
