This is a thick durable yoga mat that is exactly as described. This extremely large yoga mat is ideal for home practice. This mat is not very portable. I have it rolled up laying against the wall where I practice yoga. No more having your hands or feet partially on the mat. There room for you and all your props. Now if you are exceptionally tall (well i over 6 ft),check the measurements. Since, it is a new mat it does get a little slippery when you start to sweat. This will disappear with time and use. They thoughtfully included some tips about how best to care for the mat and breaking in a new mat. All and all very pleased with my purchase

It is VERY dense and nicely grippy. It has not scratched or had divets at all yet, so I appreciate the durability so far.Cons: The price is steep for beginners or folks who may not have a daily practice. The density also means it is pretty heavy. I’m 5’10” and fairly strong, so I can move it around relatively well, but if you’re a smaller person who may not be on the stronger side, this mat could be hard to “put away” and unroll every day, which is a must for me because of my animal family members.Also, the density means there is very little cushioning for my aging ... I love your larger mats so much!!! I have a pro squared which has been the greatest purchase ever. I recently purchased this slightly smaller mat for a different space. Wonderful! Be aware is does gas off a little at first and will be a bit slick at first. I did a salt rub with my first mat and this one I clean after every use and am waiting for it to get like my older one. Just takes a little time for the slicker surface to wear off. So worth the effort! The best mats ever!

I absolutely love this large-sized mat. It's perfect in my studio and replaces my previous method of crossing two mats. The thickness is perfect. The texture feels good on hands, feet, knees. I do find I slip slightly, but hope this will improve with use. It's really a wonderful addition to my studio!
So glad that I finally got a nice wide mat with decent grip to avoid sliding my feet wider than I want to while doing a wide legged forward fold- instead of using three mats stacked on top of each other with.a couple of small weights sandwiched at opposite ends between to stop my feet from sliding or actually holding my feet with my hands, the Manduca gets the job done with minimal sliding and I hear that the grip gets better with use.I have not had a sweaty session on it yet, but so far I am enjoying it a lot, and hope that the Manduca mat cleaner will be available soon, but so far I have used a mild mix of pine solvent and water for a light wipe down after use which seems to be good for now. I saw a video on you tube that a girl posted about using sea salt spread generously over it overnight, then a quick rinse in the shower after the wash- (person I think that is much too abrasive) but made added a mix of a very small amount of sea salt to the pine solvent with a few drops of essential oils that I will try on the next wipe down.
I'm a former YogaWorks teacher and since the start of the pandemic I've been practicing yoga, barre and pilates on my three regular Manduka mats pushed together on the floor of my home yoga room. They would invariably move apart during a session, which was bothersome. When I saw this larger mat online I ordered it immediately. It is the same size as the three mats were, in one seamless piece, and I really enjoy the freedom to change directions, or have my partner practice with me, without having to move mats around. It's firm, yet cushions my joints well and it is the PERFECT size. I love it!

Most frustrating to me was the mat stretching causing me to have to constantly compensate for sliding and slipping. The Manduka Pro mat has fantastic grip! And most importantly, it’s dense enough that it also grips the floor very well and the material it’s made of does not stretch at all. I have so much more stability in balancing postures, it’s really a total game-changer. I am happy with the cushion. I was excited to get the mat and back into yoga after a few year hiatus. I’ve been using it for a little under 3 months and like its size and plushness. However, the mat is slippery, especially when sweaty. To the point I feel it compromises certain poses. It’s frustrating to be distracted by sliding hands and feet when learning/practicing poses. I’ve used other mats in studios and gyms without this issue. If you like yoga post cardio, have sweaty hands, or have a more rigorous practice, I’d look elsewhere.
perfect home studio mat! have wanted this mat for years after getting my long pro. it is a great addition. i’ve put my regular pro on top and have a section with double the epic support. arrived fast, and protected. small amount of natural smell but nothing noticeable until i get close, and only lasted a few days. you will not regret this purchase!
