Marshall SV212 Studio Vintage Cab

I purchased the SV20Halong with this cabinet. Before this amp and cab I have played through 1959SLP'S, 1987X'S, with the 1960 AX and BX cabinets. I have tried cabinets with Vintage 30's and have always prefered the sound of the Greenback 25 watt speakers. So I was somewhat concerned about whether or not I would like the sound of this cab. WOW! I was blown away! The cabinet is perfectly matched with the SV20H! This is now my favorite amp! For a 212 cab it has a very big sound! Nice bottom end! Very smooth sound, but still gets the woody Plexi tone!Volume is still loud, but not brutal like my big amps. We bought this cab to go with our Marshall 20w Plexi head. What an amazing combination. The projection is great and the tone is just exactly that tone you want... it’s all there. Visually the head and cab look awesome together...This is the real deal... in my opinion, well worth the price of admission. I can’t imagine anyone not being happy and impressed by this combination.

I purchased this cab along with the studio vintage 20 watt amp and what a match made in heaven. It looks great and sounds even better. Vintage Marshall tone and looks. Very happy with my purchase and so will you be!

Made to go with the 20 watt plexi studio, I got it to go with my 20 watt JCM800 along with be a cab I can play through using my Boss Waza Tube Amp Expander since it needs a cab that can take at least 100 watts. Just as expected, this cab takes any tone I can throw at it and delivers it with that warm marshall tone we have grown accustomed to. Better yet, even when off, it looks great with any backdrop. Easily worth it.

Completes the new stack nicely

I paired this with the new Marshall SV20H Vintage head, modeled after the old Plexi. I was running the new head originally through an Orange 2x12 with Vintage 30's and just couldnt get the tone I was looking for. Not a surprise, given the Orange's darker low end signature. Like any Marshall product, a significant amount of the price is for the name and I was reluctant to get this matching 2×12 cab at the $799 price tag, but glad I did. The Celestion V-type speakers and overall cab design does match up much better with the SH20V head as advertised and the range of tones I can now achieve have opened up greatly. Its a great looking cab, sleek and slanted, fairly lightweight, with nice, sturdy side handles and looks great with the head capping it off.

Excellent Cab

Absolutely fantastic sounding cab, the V types really chime and cover all frequencies. Paired with Dr Z Monza....compliments the amp and added real Marshall depth and thump to the sound. Highly recommended 2x12

Excellent cab. Im really impressed with the build quality of this thing. All Ply construction (including the back panel) Metal handles. I was a bit dubious of the V Type speakers and had planned to swap them out but Im pleasantly surprised how they sound once broken in. Great cab

This cab is great! Light enough for me to move by myself, and sounds great on everything from blues, to classic rock, to metal. I use it with my jcm900, my DSL40, and my SV20H and it has that chimey clean to the Marshall roar. The V30s sounds great!
