Microsoft FHD-00001 Surface Arc Mouse Light Grey, Gray

I purchased this in an effort to ease hand and finger pain from using the MacBook Pro tract pad and having to click a lot. A lot of mouses appear to be made for really large hands (shocking). Possibly not a gender thing but I had a very hard time finding one that was comfortable and fit my hand properly, this also applies to keyboards and hand rests. Nonetheless this is a super cool gadget, has a great Bluetooth connectivity without any loss, it is super sleek and will make any office/desk space look very futuristic. Because it allows you to hold it differently than a traditional mouse I often found myself becoming frustrated because the top part of the mouse where normally there would be a right and left button for clicking Microsoft has implemented a touch sensor, though it is still a click button. Because of this any time my fingers would hover over that area, it would cause functions to be carried out which I never intended. Essentially I used it for a week and then I stopped and forgot to return it and so now I’m stuck with it. Maybe I’ll sell it someday but my next most purchase for sure will be the magic mouse because I heard great things.

Good but NOT the value I thought it was !

I THOUGHT this was an "Updated" model of thew MS ARC Mouse that I already have for use with my MS Surface Pro 7 ... It IS NOT! This model comes with a USB dongle that MUST be used in order for the mouse to connect to your device! This means that you MUST USE a USB port in order to connect! The original MS ARC mouse connect W/O a USB dongle allowing you to SAVE that PRECIOUS USB port for use with something else! For this reason ... the price was NOT the "Bargain" that I thought it was! This is Not a Bad product just not as functional as the original ARC Mouse!

We bought this for our General Manger and he loves it! It is even better than the previous model. He has to work on spreadsheets all day and this mouse is very easy on his hand and wrist while he is using it many hours a day. I can't recommend it enough!

I really enjoy this mouse. I first used it on a colleague's computer and fell in love. I really enjoy its sleek design, the scroll wheel, and how compact it is. I only use it for work so I don't know how it performs for gaming. For me personally once I went to this type of mouse going back to others feels like a downgrade. I use it daily for work anywhere from 10-12 hours and the battery life has been good. I have had it for about a year and a half, I tend to replace the battery every 5-6 months. Would recommend to a friend. PROS: Nice ergonomic feel, compact design, quality mouse with nice textures to the base and scroll wheel. CONS: If you lose the Bluetooth connection that plugs into the computer you are going to have to buy a whole new mouse.

Microsoft foldable ARC mice are amongst their best. Very portable, accurate mousing, configurable (including haptic clicking) using using the "Mouse and Keyboard Center" software for Windows on Microsoft website (which is not automatically installed for Windows 7-11). Some of the arc mice have a slightly rubbery matt finish on the clickable part. This can degrade when older and get tacky, only problem with the arc series mice. Can be removed with acetone nail polish remover although mouse won't look as good.

This is an excellent mouse. It's really high tech looking and feeling. It uses 2 AAA batteries for power but when you flatten the mouse, it turns off. A quick snap and the mouse ARChes and give you a great feeling as you use it. However, beware that it requires Bluetooth 4.0 to operate and at least Windows 8.1 if you want to use it like any other mouse. To make sure it worked before I gave it to him, I installed it on my Lenovo Thinkpad T430s running Windows 7-64 bit. The mouse loaded up and worked beautifully. I gave him the mouse and he's been super satisfied with it ever since. My son's birthday was fast approaching and he was using a USB mouse on his Lenovo Thinkpad T420s laptop so I ordered him one of these sleek mouses. When it arrived, I once again installed it onto my Lenovo Thinkpad T430s and it worked great, so I gave it to him for his birthday. He tried and tried to install it but it wouldn't work. After a puzzling and extended time trying to figure this out we discovered that this is a Bluetooth Low-Energy mouse and is not compatible with my son's T420s because the mouse requires Bluetooth 4.0 and the T420s is only a Bluetooth 3.0 compatible ... and by the way, you can't install the Bluetooth 4.0 drivers and make it 4.0. All was not lost though because I can use it with my Lenovo T430s, but not so fast. There's still something wrong. I can install the mouse and use it .... until I let a period of time go by without moving the mouse - then it is non-responsive and my laptop doesn't "see it" any longer. I made every configuration change I could to get it to not fall asleep, but nothing worked. So, it's a great mouse - a fantastic mouse - IF you have the right computer. So beware. If you have an older computer, you may want to consider another Bluetooth mouse.

Quality Product Ten Years Running.

I have had one of these ARCTOUCH meeces since 2012... This IS the mouse for the surface tablet. There are 3 different styles of the same thing. There is a black mouse that has a usb receiver. There is a grey bluetooth arctouch mouse. and a black bluetooth that has surface imprinted ..which is the one I received. I didnt think it would work with a bluetooth but it does... in which yes it did inspire me to do this review. Now there was a cheap knock off of this mouse that had come out a few years back. It never did work properly and did NOT have very good range. The ARCTOUCH mouse by Microsoft is superior to any other design that I have ever seen in my life. Batteries do last for months. Reliable mouse

This is my second Arc in about 4-5yrs and always been reliable. My last one broke(dongle), which was my fault. This new design with Bluetooth within is excellent. I can now work without having to unplug the dongle from the USB port to power something else. The grey is a nice change from conventional black and would recommend it. The smooth material used is durable and flexible. The longevity, desirability and quirkiness of the Arc I think will last a long time. One can also get a purposely designed case for it, for a double whammy for me for safety for travelling. Only improvement for me, would be to save battery power saver while inactive, without unfolding. The batteries I use do last awhile though.

Stylish, kinda practical but not very comfortable.

I've used this on/off for about 2 months now.Pros: It looks great, matches the surface obviously, when flat easily fits into my slim surface carry case.Cons: ive not had much experience with wireless mice, but when u 'bend it' to turn on, it takes a few seconds and cursor is a bit jittery. Theres also a very slight delay at times which is enough to try your patience at times. Buttons and icons are quite small on the surface and due to this cursor delay you find yourself miss-clicking quite often. Biggest prob is its too small and your hand doesnt rest on the mouse, instead your kinda hovering your hand and manouvering it with fingers, quite uncomfortable, thus exacerbating the prev mentioned problem about miss-clicking.
