Great tool. Seems loud but it’s not bad once you get a few feet away. Filled a tire late last night which would not have been possible with my regular air compressor due to noise. This tool is just so convenient between the portability and having everything built in. The locking coupler is great. I was just about to get a digital tire gauge because I hate when the vehicle numbers aren’t the same. This tool eliminated that need since it has a digital gauge built in. Seeing my truck tire psi all be correct made me happy. I would definitely recommend the tool. It’s fast for car tires but for truck tires at higher psi it’s a slower than traditional air compressors but since I can hit the button and walk away it’s not a big deal. Fantastic tool. Accurate, fast, and effortless. I got the m18 tire inflator as a free tool when I bought a combo kit, I did not plan on buying it, but being included I couldn’t pass the deal. Surprisingly, now I couldn’t imagine not having this tire inflator. In my opinion this is a must have, I am purchasing some for family members as no matter where you are this tool is ready to get you out of a bind. Take it camping, keep it in your car, fill your kids bike tires, your own bike tires, your truck tires, your atv tires, your air mattress. Whatever your heart desires the m18 tire inflator is ready to handle. I bought this inflator because of the reviews on YouTube. I could’ve gotten by with a smaller version since I just have a car and don’t need to air up very large tires but I figured it would be nice to have some thing that could handle bigger tires, if I ever needed to help other people on the road.it was super simple to use on my own. I’m really very happy with it. I had previously been using an old-fashioned pin pressure tester along with a very cheap $10 inflator. It took forever to inflate, and it turns out that both the pin tester, and the analog inflator gauge were measuring about four psi too low. My car kept telling me that my tires were low, even though the cheap inflator and cheap pin tester said the PS I was correct. So I used the M18 cordless tire ... Dragging a full compressor and extension cord around was a pain so I rarely did it. I wanted to be able to quickly top up the tires on 3 vehicles weekly so I could maximize their fuel economy. I already own some Milwaukee batteries, so buying the best tire inflator on the market worked out to be about the same cost as buying an inferior brand with their batteries. First time I used it I knew I had a premium tool at a reasonable price that should last a long long time.Only eyebrow raising thing I found was connecting the inflator to the valve stem doesn't use a quick connect coupler, but instead you must screw the coupler onto the stem. Although it takes a couple of seconds longer, it does provide a better connection that enables the inflator to accurately measure ... I put an extra pound of air pressure in to compensate for the loss of air that occurs when removing the coupler from the valve stem. Works for me.
First, I LOVE the presets. Coming from the M12 inflator, the 4 presets are a nice welcome addition to go to the most used pressure settings. The M18 is bigger, but it has a sturdier compressor and the vaunted higher flow rates. My only minor quibbles are twofold: first, the compressor overshoots the desired pressure setting by a few psi and then bleeds off any extra pressure to get the inflated item exactly at the desired setpoint. Trouble is, with small tires (aircraft, wheelbarrow) it tends to overshoot the bleed-down and has to reactivate the pump. I wish there was a way to turn this feature off.Second, I wish there was a small compartment where the user can store an air chuck or Schraeder valve core removal tool. Not all inflated items have the Schraeder valve threads, so sometimes you need an air chuck. (e.g., some Schraeder valve extensions don't have threads on the extension so you need an air chuck) But then what to do with the chuck so it doesn't get lost? Simple, provide an auxiliary compartment to store them. But these are minor quibbles. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy with it.
Great little inflator! This has the power to easily inflate my 35's from 12 psi to 35 psi without breaking a sweat (using the XC6.0 High Output Battery Pack). My old air pump would over heat after the first tire ! The pressure presets are a great feature as well especially since I have 4 vehicles to maintain. I also like the Auto shut-off at a selected PSI that prevents over inflation. The threaded valve stem connection is much better than the pressure clamp version on my old inflator (No leaks!). A little expensive in my humble opinion. I'd be happier at a buck and a quarter!
This is one very well designed tire inflator. My need was being able to re-inflate tires from driving on the track pressures of about 30 psi to driving down the road pressures of 35 psi. These were good sized tires on 19” wheels. The previous inflator overheated and stopped working about 3/4 the way through inflating last time I used it. I’ve always respected Milwaukee equipment but balked at the price. I had a Milwaukee spot light with the M18 5ah battery so I thought I would try this inflator. Wow, to say it works well is an understatement. I can re-inflate my track tires plus inflate my trailer tires and check my truck tires and the battery is still well charged. I bought two of the 6ah batteries for use with this inflator and returned the 5ah to the spotlight. ... MoreThis is one very well designed tire inflator. I bought two of the 6ah batteries for use with this inflator and returned the 5ah to the spotlight. The accuracy of the inflator is remarkable. It is very close, if not spot on, to my gauges that are very accurate. Also the feature of inflating to a pressure then checking it, then continuing to inflate is really pretty remarkable. If you want the best battery powered inflator on the market, this is the one to get.
Great tire inflator. Milwaukee does it again. I have switched all my tools over from pneumatic to M18 and M12 battery powered. The only thing I have been using my compressor for is airing up tires and occasionally blowing of the mower. This inflator is the final nail in the air compressor’s coffin. It airs up tires in seconds. Doesn’t drain the battery (I have been using a 8ah XC) fast. Comes with chucks for air mattress, rafts, bike tires and sports balls. Purchased it for its mobility and plan to take it on road trips. Ive actually used it more than I thought I would.
Another great M18 product from Milwaukee. It is so convenient for inflating things around the house, including my wheelbarrow tire, moving truck tires and anything else that is not a solid rubber tire. It is not simply useful for topping off vehicle tires. What makes this so nice is the fact that the power source for it is a M18 battery that connects to the unit. No hooking up wires to a 12 volt battery source like most portable inflators do. It inflates tires quickly and effortlessly. Just set the pressure on the display and then push the inflate button. It takes care of the rest. It will inflate just a little past the pressure setting, then allow the pressure to stabilize to the preset pressure. Very well engineered, in my opinion. Used to top off a 37 inch tire mounted on vehicle. 30 p.s.i. to 36 p.s.i. thats only adding 6 p.s.i.! However hose and nozzle got extremely hot to the point where it could almost not be touched with bare hands. I doubt this could fill the tire if it was flat. Nevermind 4 flat tires. This tool would definitely fail from the heat problem. Also same problem other user wrote about using on flat bicycle tire. Pressure was over shot the set pressure by 15 p.s.i.! The tool checks the pressure to late. Might be good for a small car but not for a bicycle tire or large truck tire this is a fail. Very disappointed. I had high hopes for this expensive pump. Waste of time and money. Very sad. If I wasn't a fan of milwaukee tools I would have given this a 1 star.
