The wireless functionality works well, the printer is compatible with Mac and Win operating systems.2. Mobile printing works well without having to disconnect/connect the devices.3. This printer is cost-effective to run due to the inking process as opposed to replacing cartridges It's not fast but suits our needs well. It's simple to use which is always a bonus! The quality of printing is clean and crisp, again good enough for our needs and general office paperwork as opposed to art, glossy docs, etc... We use the scanner about half as much as printing, that's quite slow but again suits our needs and produces good quality scans and images. Generally for a small to medium business with a few users from laptops and mobile devices we couldn't find a better tool. Note we replaced the same printer after some 3-years of use. (That one is now in the house and the new one is at work)

Well, the ET has proven to be a workhorse, with ink costing lower than those that utilise cartridge ink. Setup was basic, due to its size, placement was very easy. My faith is in the Epson brand as we had one for 13 long years. The idea around the ability to refill the ink reservoirs is also what attracted me to this model. In addition, you can save further dosh by taking part in the Good Guys reward system. The size is very manageable and the quietness of the printer was a positive surprise. This will most definitely serve the requirements of 3 high school students with the utmost of ease. Operation is very easy. I am very happy with our purchase even with a higher than normal price. This will pay for itself due to no cartridge purchasing. Recommend for sure!

I purchased this printer to save the money I was spending on ink cartridges. Easy enough to set up and connect to wi-fi. However, seems to keep dropping the wi-fi signal even though in the same room as the modem/router. Also not happy with the sizing when printing. Using A4 paper, print set up everywhere for that size paper yet when I choose both Actual Size and 100% when printing PDF sewing patterns, the test squares are always smaller than they should be. A 5cm square prints as 4.9cm. This .1 makes a huge difference to the overall sizing of the item Im wanting to sew. And yes, its using a reliable ruler and Im using Adobe A to at Reader. So basically, unless I can get the sizing 100% its a very expensive waste of money.

This printer has replaced a previous Epson WorkForce Pro ink cartridge printer as I was over replacing ink cartridges every 3 months. The ink bottles will be a lot more cost effective compared to cartridges as the printer comes with 2 years supply of ink (which is a saving of approx $500 a year) and a 2 year warranty which makes the initial purchase price of the printer good value. The only negatives I have found compared to my previous Epson printer is the paper tray storage is exposed at the top of printer and holds less paper. (the WF Pro stored the paper tray under the printer, fully enclosed in a slide out draw and held more paper). Also the print per page is a little slower. I wanted double-sided auto printing and lower cost per copy. I do not need fax. So I selected this printer.It was easy to set up with the instructions on smartphone and I've printed from phone and from computer. Scanning using computer is easy to use. Although a higher outlay, the long term costs should make printing more economical. Time will tell.
I need to replace an old laser mono printer and was researching for a replacement. This printer was over budget but more cost effective in the long run. The ink bottle feature is a great innovation - easy to set up and use.This printer did double sided which the cheaper models didn't. Relatively easy to set up following the prompts from the phone app and printer screen but watched a couple of Youtube videos to be make sure. Printing from my iPhone and Mac fine:) and nice to be able too have colour again.
i bought epson ET 2850 as my search for efficiency and economy dominated my search.the unit set up was quite easy. filling up the ink tank unit was so easy . print quality was exceptionally good . linking the device to my phone and computer was very easy too.i love the unit because the replacement ink unit is very cheap& you get more print quantity at the same time. very important to me as i ve abandoned my last printer due to the cost of replacement catridge being unaffordable. epson brands are reliable, affordable . value for money. i would definitely go for them any day
