Murad Revitalixir Recovery Serum 40ml

This has been my go to serum before bedtime. This item is kind of pricy, but I purchased it during Ulta’s 21 days of beauty and got it half off. I am about half way through it and I am happy with this product. It is hydrating and smells good. It feels luxurious on my skin. I think it helps keep my fine lines and wrinkles at bay and I would recommend this product. I would consider repurchasing this item, but I am a skin care junkie and love trying new products :P I have gotten complements on my skin and feel like this has helped improve it.

Revitalixir is an oil-based sphere infused serum which is a water-based gel described as having a unique delivery system which holds advanced ingredients to provide the perfect blend to relax and revive the skin - this comes from using the spheres to relax the skin and the gel to revive it. By delivering the ingredients in this way and separating them out, Murad has managed to eliminate the use of binders within the product which means the formula is not only more concentrated but it also ensures the active ingredients are delivered more effectively. This serum has a really lightweight gel texture to it and once on the skin, it absorbs really quickly, giving you just enough time to pat and massage it on. It has a really nice pearlescent tint which softly illuminates the skin without leaving you looking as though your skin is really greasy. I have found that after using, my skin feels incredibly refreshed, supple and most importantly calm. When I am stressed or feeling run down, I often find my skin reacts with redness to the cheeks, feeling flushed and incredibly dry to the touch, using this serum I am able to help alleviate those issues to quite the degree and I love that my skin feels better for using it.

RESULTS: This product helped with dehydration but I still needed to moisturize so I don't recommend not moisturizing your skin. I did notice that my skin corrected it's color a little bit which is a plus and brought some life back to my skin. However, again, I do not have wrinkle issues and my puffiness is minimum. So, it's a 2 out of 3 for me. RECOMMENDATION: I recommend you try this product if you have a combination of these problems. It is pricey and I do suggest you find the best deal.

Awesome Serum

My first time using this product and I am almost done with my first bottle. I was skeptical at first because I have oily skin, larger pores and I was scared it was going to be too thick of a serum or leave me “too” hydrated and overly shiny the following day. I use this at bedtime and I have definitely noticed my skin just soaking this up. I wake up with very soft and hydrated skin. You can use half a pump or the full pump to your liking. It also has helped with my skin texture as well. Also great you can use for your eyes! So glad I added this to my routine and will continue its use! Love the bottle and this product! Dry/Dull Skin Saver

I've been using this for about 3 weeks now . It gives the skin an instant boost of hydration and radiance, as the serum has some reflective properties in it, not glitter by any means but a soft almost opalescence. It has an interesting smell, not an easy scent to describe, not floral either. I think the scent is from the niaminicide, it seems almost like the smell of indoor tanning lotion (minus the coconut/sunscreen smell). I mostly use this serum during the day, layered under my moisturizer and makeup. I think it's important to note that you should allow your skincare to absorb into the skin for at least 5-10 minutes before applying your makeup to avoid pilling (product buildup on surface of the skin). The serum appears to have suspended spheres but if you look closely, the actual serum is sitting in an inner tube within the packaging, behind the spheres. For this reason, I deducted a star, it's misleading to the consumer in my opinion and seems like a marketing scheme. It makes you think you are getting more product than you really are too.One other downfall to this product is the price. For what this serum does, I do not think it is worth the price tag. It's mostly just hydrating to me and does not contain any anti-aging ingredients. It seems like a basic serum to me. Still of better quality and results than other serums that I have tried in the past boasting to be hydrating, so I kept the 4th star. Personally, I just would not spend the money on this.

NO MORE DRY SKIN

I LOVE this serum! It is so convenient to have a serum that can be used on the eyes and face. I take two pumps and slasher it from my forehead down to my upper chest- two pumps is plenty, especially if your skin is already damp. This serum is extremely brightening, probably due to the high amounts of niacinimide. It feels like this pulls my other products into my skin deeper as well! I use this as a sort of essence because of its lightweight texture. It does have a scent that I think is DELIGHTFUL, but it dissipates after a minute or two. I don’t think a sensitive nose would have any trouble with this one. I love how you get 1.35oz because you are essentially using it on face and eyes, so it makes sense that the size would be bigger to accommodate. It does come in ... MoreI LOVE this serum! Not For Everyone

I used this serum daily until I panned it. To be clear, I do not have sensitive skin. This product didn't feel light to apply and I got a patch of dry skin above my Cupid's bow because of this product. At first I thought it was the weather then when the patch didn't go away, I blamed my lipstick (which I threw away). The issue is wouldn't clear then a few days after I panned the product, it began to clear up and hasn't come back. You also don't get all of the product because 1/4 of the product are those useless bead things to make it look more official. I didn't notice an improvement of texture or tone. I don't recommend this to anyone.

Not Gentle!

While this serum was sent to me for review, I went into the testing process completely unbiased. I love this product. I am on my second bottle. The first time I ever wore it at work, a stranger told me I was glowing. However, I wonder if your skin builds up a tolerance over time, as the glow does fade after continued use. Also, the pump is not long enough to reach all of the product. I end up having to take a straw and scoop out the micro beads. I can pop them onto my skin to get the product, but then I realize I have little purple serum spheres on my face, resembling chicken pox. Long story short, it’s pricey, so wait until it goes on sale.
