Murad Resurgence Retinol Youth Renewal Serum 30ml

Murad gifted me their Retinol Youth Renewal Serum in exchange for my honest review. This product helps to reduce or eliminate wrinkles and improves 5 key signs of aging (fewer lines and wrinkles, skin that looks firmer, feels smoother, and is more even-toned with a boosted glow.). This retinol is non drying and safe enough for daily use. It also contains hyaluronic acid to moisturize. It does not contain parabens, sulfates, phthalates, gluten, mineral oil, formaldehyde, petrolatum, oxybenzone or animal derived ingredients.I use it after cleansing in the evenings. It has a light floral scent. I use a couple pumps and apply on all my fine lines gently rubbing it in with my fingertips. It absorbs well and is not greasy. Cleared Acne & Minimized Fine Lines

Wow… it’s rare for a product to leave me feeling this impressed and pleasantly surprised. Although this product is on the pricier side, the results have been amazing! I have combination skin that is acne prone. Retinol has been a game changer ingredient for my skincare and my skin is very used to using it. I use retinol daily at nighttime and always follow up with SPF during the day — super important! I apply this product to cleansed skin, then apply eye cream, then finally apply a moisturizer. DO NOT BUY!

I bought this as I had used previous Murad products and enjoyed them. However, this product made my skin dry and feel gross. I looked at the ingredient list, and a quick Google search answered all of my questions. In skincare, the ingredients are listed by how much they put into the product. The first ingredient is water, which is the main ingredient in many skincare products. The second ingredient is Cyclopentasiloxane, a drying agent that also helps spread the product, which is banned in the European Union. The next ingredient, Isopropyl Palmitate, is highly comedogenic (makes you break out and clogs your pores). The next ingredients, C14-22 Alcohols, Polymethylsilsesquioxane, and Dimethicone, are good ingredients and help moisturize your skin. I was kindly gifted Murad's Retinol Youth Renewal Serum in exchange for my honest review. I use it at night after cleansing. It has a light scent, but not too strong. I use a few pumps and apply on all my fine lines gently rubbing it in with my fingertips. It absorbs well and is not greasy. My skin feels hydrated and soft. It claims to help reduce or eliminate fine lines. After 7 days I cannot tell a difference but I am hopeful with continued use I will see changes soon. This retinol is non drying and safe enough for daily use. It also contains hyaluronic acid to moisturize. It does not contain parabens, sulfates, phthalates, gluten, mineral oil, formaldehyde, petrolatum, oxybenzone or animal derived ingredients.

This serum contains a fast- acting retinol, a delayed-release retinol, and a retinol booster but the hyaluronic helps stave off the harshness of the retinol. It also contains swertia flower extract which contains high concentrations of antioxidants to help with skin resilience.The serum has a creamy consistency that easily absorbs into the skin. I've not had any adverse effects while using this serum, however I do use prescription retinol. I use this serum on the days I don't use prescription retinol. This one contains a “tri-active” retinol formulation which they describe as a fast-acting retinoid, a slower release retinol, and a retinol booster all in one. As someone who uses retinol daily at this point, I haven’t noticed any stinging or irritation so this is likely a gentler/less potent retinol formulation. The serum is lightweight, absorbs quickly, and keeps moisture locked in. As far as fine line reduction… a little? My skin does feel taut and refreshed when I use this so that’s something. However, it’s so expensive for what you get. If you can afford it, great! But if not, there are other cheaper and just as effective brands (that aren’t afraid to spell out the potency of their formulation) out there you can try.

Not a great retinol product compared to others

Based on a recommendation from a mature skin "beauty influencer" I decided to try this Murad retinol serum when I ran out of my SkinCeuticals 0.5 retinol serum. There were a couple of things I did not like about this. Firstly, and most important, I do not think it works very well and/or the percentage of retinol in this is very, very low. When I have used SkinCeuticals (even the lower 0.3 version), my skin has a smooth, clean, "renewed" like feeling in the morning after applying at night. After using the Murad, my skin didn't notice any changes or improvement or anything like the SkinCeuticals retinol does. For a product that is this expensive, that is unacceptable! The Best!

I am a licensed Esthetician and this has been the best retinol I've tried so far! I wish others did more research before just trying a product like this. it's something you have to work up to, and it would be best if you had an actual skin care routine before adding in retinol. only use retinol at night, apply to dry skin, and use a great moisturizer. the retinol cream from murad pairs perfectly. I even add some squalene oil from good molecules over it to help with moisture. also, if you're using this only start by using 1 to 2xs a week. don't start off using it everyday. and always always always USE SUNSCREEN. you're face will burn and peel. it won't be pretty, and it will make it so all the great benefits of using retinol are wasted. as for thr product, the smell ... MoreI am a licensed Esthetician and this has been the best retinol I've tried so far! Okay this is just one of those wow products for me truly. I never have truly tried out a retinol before and this would be my first. I know I am to put a pea sized amount on my face and massage it in. Usually can be used with other serums (no ahas or bhas though ofcourse!) and a good moisturizer ofcourse. I have sensitive combo skin and I was curious how this would be for me. Doing as I have seen I used a pea size amount every single day during the night and never felt weird irritations or the need to wash my face off. What I did notice was the difference this amazing retinol was making on my skins texture. I could clearly see just how smooth my skin was becoming and how much more radiant it looked.
