I'm kind of torn on this one. I purchased this at a local health food store while looking for something to boost energy. This product delivered. I felt very energized and was able to get through most activities with energy to spare. The reason it gets three stars is the taste. It had a weird chalky taste. It was good, I like the way it made me feel but I would not buy again. Because I use it everyday (add to breakfast smoothie) I am looking for something that taste better.

Best vitamin I ever took

I discovered Nature's Way Alive! Whole Food Energizer vitamins a few years ago and have been taking them mostly faithfully ever since. When I did try a different brand I felt it! These vitamins come with added iron or without. The reviews I read sold me. I knew that whole food vitamins are the best to take. Why take "Juice Plus" when you can get similar results in Nature's Way Alive plus vitamins! They have kept me well and energized. The only drawback is #1, their size...#2, their vegetable odor and taste (dissipates quickly) and #3, the fact you take three a day. Great Product!

I found this product when researching an affordable alternative to a popular vitamin packed mix that is the craze right now. I have been using both vanilla and chocolate for about three weeks now and feel great!I mix the vanilla with a cup of orange juice, a frozen banana, a couple of frozen strawberries and a hand full of frozen blueberries and it tastes great. I tried several other variations and found this one to taste the best.I have also lost 7 lbs since starting the shakes with the combination of working out. I will continue using the shakes for a long time to come.

I really love it!

I intially bought this for my son. I was taking Swansons whole food vitamins and found them to be very effective. He hates the taste of this drink. I tried it with orange juice and LOVE the taste! Needles to say, he's taking the pills and I'm drinking this every morning. I make it before I leave for work-adding half the juice and stirring well, then adding the rest. By the time I'm at work there are no lumps at all. Just letting it sit a while makes a difference. I think it's like an orange creamsickle- which is surprising when you look at all it contains. There is an apple-cinnamon version I have yet to try, but it's not at Swansons yet.I feel energized after I drink it, and am thinking of giving up my coffee. Just ok

First off, I did not agree that it tasted like orange dreamcycle. The way it tasted the best to me was mixed with plain yogurt with a little raspberry kefir added. Almost tasted like pudding if you get the right consistency. If I took the entire scoop at one time I felt my heart racing; must be the synthetic B's. So it is better for me to take half a scoop in the morning then the other half when I am having my late afternoon sleep attack.I must admit, I was much better at taking this than the supplements, I absolutely hate swallowing vitamins. But not sure if I want to spend 30 a month on this stuff. I would rather get something more powerful and organic and spend a few dollars more like Green Vibrance or Chlorella (or both)

Multivitamin and more.

I have been using these vitamins for several years, and I wouldn't use anything else! I am a preschool teacher, and I was constantly getting colds from my students. I wanted to find some sort of supplement to help keep me healthy without causing any other problems or side effects (echinacea can actually cause allergy symptoms in some people, and can't be used continuously). I discovered this product through some online research, and decided to try it despite its hefty price tag. Probably worth it...

Taste was hard to get around, but after following others' advice, definitely mix it with 12-16 oz. of liquid, NOT 8 oz. [It is simply too thick and the taste is awful then.] I was fine with 8 oz. orange juice and 4 oz. coconut milk, but I think any mixture 12-16 oz of liquid will work fine. Yes, there's an increase in energy and overall feeling well when taking this.

THICK! Best when mixed into a smoothie!

The first time I used this product I mixed it with soymilk. It turned into a light green, greyish, thick sludge with a toasted, slightly smoky vanilla scent and flavor. I was a little bit alarmed. Flavor was so-so. Not something I hate, but not something I get excited about eating. But, because of the thick consistency, it is perfect for blending with a couple of frozen strawberries, a banana and some soy or coconut milk. It is nutritious, but it is not palatable enough for me to drink by itself. I was hoping for something I could quickly mix into my soymilk and be done with.

The perfect breakfast

I use this ultra shake in place of breakfast and it supplies my body with every nutrient needed to start my day. It gives me energy to get going in the morning. Check the ingredient list and you will be impressed with how many different fruit and vegetables are in it. I highly recommend this product.

Alive! Multi-vitamins will truly help you feel alive! I was feeling slow, sluggish and in general extremely tired. I knew I need to adjust my eating and my vitamin intake. Friends suggested a good multi-vitamin that included some type of whole foods. In general, I've heard that whole foods are better for your body and help you absorb the vitamins and minerals more easily. After trying a few other brands of mega multi vits, I came across Alive! at our local Whole Foods Store, and bonus, it was on sale! I choose the kind without iron mostly because too much iron tends to hurt my stomach. After a week of taking these vitamins I noticed a huge difference.
