I tried several graters and this is the best. Box graters are awful to clean and require a certain size bowl, the spin grater for cheese was unusable. This allows you to grate over anything and is sharp enough for hard cheeses.

I love this grater! I have used it for cheese, onion, ginger, zucchini and carrots so far and it has worked great! Before I got this, I was using my Mom's grater and I can really see a big difference between the two of them. This one is so much better! I did not realize how bad my other one was till I tried this one! I love that it has a bi-directional design which makes using it very fast and easy. I also love the non-slip handle and top for control while grating. It is made of stainless steal so it is very sturdy and very well made. I also love that it can go in the dishwasher. I am always impressed with OXO products! They never disappoint! I highly recommend this grater!
I love this grater. I use it all the time. I use it for grating garlic, ginger, parmigian cheese, nutmeg, and many other things. It’s just the right size, not too big like some other graters. Very handy.

The OXO softworks hand held grader fits comfortably in your hand and is sturdy. Works both ways with cutters up and down . Its smal and great for grating a variety of foods. I would definitely recommend for any home cook.
I got this to replace a box grater that was not working well and I absolutely love this grater. It is extremely easy to use and makes the perfect size for grated cheese. It is very easy to clean and can be placed in the dishwasher with no problem. I would recommend this to anyone wanting a lightweight grater that works extremely well.
If you want less bulk and don’t need to grate a large amount at a time this is your product! The materials it is made of is durable to last and is easy to hold and use. I like to keep this on hand to used to grate cheese for one dish at a time. Definitely a kitchen must have.
I bought this a month ago and I'm so happy I did. I totally love this hand held grater. I can just grate some cheese straight onto my morning eggs. So much easier than using my old grater. It's a great product, has a nice grip on handle, and shreds cheese in smaller shreds, works well with harder cheeses. This is exactly what I was looking for.
