As I didn’t have the receipt to solve this through warranty, i decided to open it and see what went wrong.It was a loose connection to the motor, which i could fix easily. It worked for a few days, and broke again. Im too lazy to fix this by myself again.The low power and plastic blades being weak are expected given the cheaper price.I’m giving one star, because the product kept breaking down only after few months of use.I lost my faith in battery powered outdoor tools because of this. I would go for a petrol powered equipment next time.

I bought this trimmer from Bunnings as part of the 3 pack sold by Ozito. Very nice trimmer and easy to use. Only problem the blades are cheap quality. You will need 15 to 20 blades just to do the front and back lawns. They break off the trimmer and go missing in the lawn - cannot handle concrete pathways or stubborn weeds. Otherwise I much prefer this battery one which lasts about an hour on each battery compared to the bulky petrol one I had and struggles with inserting a line or cord.

Why not upsell with a back up pack in the kit. ?I bought an extra X charge battery when I got my pruner so as not to lose time recharging on the job but battery life has been good enough so far so as to not have to revert to the spare.I already have an Ozito circular saw...a beauty.Will buy a paint sprayer and a weed sprayer in the new year so iI will have a good kitpowered by the two batteries. I have been using this trimmer for over a year now after getting fed up with my petrol version. I have a large lawn with multiple obstacles and this trimmer handles it all with ease. The trimmer is also very adjustable in terms of length, handle placement, head angle etc. My only complaint is that the blades can be hit and miss. The first lot of blades I had were great and lasted a while, used 2 or 3 doing both lawns. The next few batches were more brittle and would constantly break causing me to use 10 to 15 doing both lawns. More recently the blades have been better and more durable, back to 2 or 3. Overall I like this trimmer, I already had batteries so for $70 odd dollars it can't be beat.
Had mine a few months. Very pleased with it. I had a corded trimmer that worked well but got sick of the extension cord & fiddling for more line. The plastic thingy cuts well and doesn't break easily (still on first one). It comes off occasionally, like if I brush up a bit harshly against concrete, but goes back on easily. Great for an average/medium yard. I spend about 25 minutes on mine. I also have an Ozito battery mower (4+ years) which has been excellent. Uses the same batteries. Great value. Highly recommend.
I bought this product from Frankston over a month ago and love it! I have a very large area with lots of edging. I had bought a Ryobi trimmer but the cord kept snapping, I found it hard to redo the cord and it was electric which meant I was always dealing with the extension cords. The battery lasts ages I can get most of the yards done in one-two charges. But the best parts I found is that it is very lightweight and the blades clip on so easily and quickly! No messing about with cords! I do wish they would last a bit longer but I have lots of hard edges so expect a fair few broken blades.I'm really happy with it and it was affordable. Great for little women like me. I have an Ozito 18V battery mower and I'm looking at other cordless products like the blower.

It would have to be the best value for money whipper snipper you could buy. It is not designed for super heavy jobs working against concrete and rocks - for these you should buy a $600 commercial machine. When used properly in a moderate sized garden it was perfect. It was simple to use and very reliable. I normally spend the first 15 minutes of a job mixing petrol , setting up the line feed and trying to start the machine. This took 10 seconds to set up and the yard was finished in 15 minutes. The blades can wear out a little faster than cord and when they do you simple replace them with another 50 cent blade. Worst piece of PXC kit I've wasted money on. It's a shame because all the other stuff is great but this one is just totally useless. Chips away at grass so slow the grass grows back before you've finished then the plastic blade shoots off, if you can't find it then another one comes out. I'm hoping it breaks before the warranty runs out so I can get my money back. I thought about selling it but don't want to inconvenience someone else.
Great little machine for the home gardener. Lightweight and easy to use. I bought it in the hope it would do grass edges and yes it is quite good, if a bit slow. You have much more control than with a line trimmer. The blade slowly wears down, but does plenty of work and is heaps easier to replace than a line. Not a replacement for a big line trimmer but much better at some jobs. Very pleased with this unit.
I was hesitant to buy this after reading the red plastic blades break easy BUT that is not true and I'm glad I still bought it.I used it to trim weeds and long grass no worries and hit corrugated iron fencing, bricks, wooden fencing and run it against concrete driveway edges for around 2 minutes non stop trimming the grass edges and the blade never broke and barely even got shorter. I used 2 blades in over an hour doing a huge section.100% this is better than paying for petrol!My battery was on 2 out of 3 bars charge and it lasted 1 hour full power.Very light
