Paulas Choice Skin Perfecting 25% AHA 2% BHA Exfoliant Peel, Fragra

I just tried this for the first time tonight and I am really happy with my purchase. I have been looking for awhile to find a good exfoliant for my skin which has a lot of discoloration. After my first use my skin feels smooth and more even. My skin appears brighter but I don’t see any improvement with my dark spots after the first use. I read some reviews about users experiencing tingling or stinging with the first use but I didn’t experience that at all. It does have a chemical smell to it as most reviews stated but it wasn’t very overwhelming to me. Looking forward to see how this product works!

So I got a sample of this after an order from Sephora…. And let me tell you, I bought the full sized product the next day! The smell of this product is quite lovely and yet subtle. It has a lovely lavender hue naturally due to the ingredients. As it is a gentle chemical peel, my face had a little tingling for the first couple minutes but it subsided rather quickly. This product left my skin feeling sssoooo soft, refreshed, and bright!!! No redness or irritation. And it’s only a 10 minute mask. Just pure beauty from this product and I’m obsessed. The best part!!! A little goes a long way…. And the price alone is really reasonable. Especially for the quantity of the product you get along with the longevity of the product since you only use it once a week.

A great exfoliant peel that smells awful

This is an excellent all-around product. It has a purple tint to the lotion and you apply it once a week. It can sting a bit but that's true of most AHAs, especially one of high percentage like this (25% AHA, 2% BHA). After 10 minutes, wash it off and continue. It's probably best before you go to bed, to let your skin calm down a bit. I didn't notice any redness, but I suspect it could irritate some skin types.The only two cons I see: the price is fairly high for such a small amount (although it should last a couple months I suspect) and the smell is downright awful when applying.

Absolutely love this

I love this "peel". I purchased this a month ago and used it 4x so far, once a week only. Each time I use it my skin literally glows, the pores/whiteheads on my nose are less visible and my skin looks so clear. Unlike some of the other reviews are saying, I did not notice any actual "peeling" of my skin a few days later but the texture of my skin feels so amazing (not sure if the peeling is even a normal response?). Not going to lie but I turned a few heads today after having used this in the morning and I think it's because my skin has gotten progressively nicer (probably not only this product but a combination of my routine). I am hooked, I would definitely repurchase this.

Game changer.

This mask has been the ultimate game changer for my skin. I don’t suffer with acne all the time, but I do have several chronic health conditions that can make my skin very bad, and it’s always dreadful when I’m hormonal. I’ve even been prescribed Duac acne cream by my GP. But one use of this and ALL of my spots are better. Small surface spots are completely gone the next morning, spots that have been popped heal super quickly and even those awful painful deep spots are reduced … and just continue to reduce until they’re gone. It’s hands down the best treatment I think I’ve ever bought in 30 years and I suggest it to all of my friends if they’re suffering with their skin. I’ll repurchase forever!

I didn't believe it in the beginning since I don't like 10 minutes thing of exfoliating products.. But after three times of use, I recommend it to all of my family members!!!I always have had acne issues since a teen. I use PC 2% BHA liquid in the daytime and tretinoin cream at 0.05% at night. Everything was under control. But recently, I stayed up very late, and my breakouts and clogged pores have back again. The tretinoin cream and bha used to be very effective now become less effective on my skin. After I tried this peel mask, I can notice my acne, and clogged pores got so much better the second day, my pimples shrunken...and all of my other products worked well again. Impressive

Got this product as a present and it will definitely stay in my routine for long.Although I use everyday another types of exfoliation as BHA 2% and 8% AHA, this one is my go to every Saturday beauty routine. It's better than any salon treatments, it leave skin smooth, even toned, bright and healthy looking. Best day the results even better. I don't have any peeling other days than using it, most probably bcz I'm using exfoliating products daily. And color of the product is something magic, feeling like superstar applying it.Highly recommend!

Lovely addition to skincare regime, use once a week

I bought this after seeing Nadine Baggot do a piece on acids. I love the skin perfecting liquid, and use it a few times a week. This seemed like the perfect compliment to add in on a weekly basis. The first time I used it my skin looked and felt amazing the next morning. It's a beautiful addition to my skin care regime. I did notice a big difference between using it before bed, and using it in the morning. My skin looked better for applying at bedtime and sleeping. Woke up with gorgeous skin. I feel using in the morning was a mistake as the application of my lotions and potions seemed to negate the benefits a bit.

Please don't discontinue.

This peel I use once a week. I use it in the AM with a gentle cleanser. The only other product I use that day is that night PC 1 % Retinol with a non irritating moisturizer.This peel has knocked out my cystic acne scars and my pore size. My skin is smoother. The purple component of the peel really helps the acid to absorb evenly. I am almost on my 2nd tube. That's about 10-11 uses for me. I am pleased with this product and appreciate the fact that I don't have to use my other products that day. Just 10 minutes with this and some spf and I'm done.
