Pilot G2 Premium Gel Roller Pen Fine .7mm 4/Pkg-Black

I'll give it four stars because it's one of the better pens that can be easily found, but I don't enjoy writing with it very much. The pen doesn't dry quickly and smudges when highlighting words. It doesn't bleed through paper (tested on Kokuyo Campus paper), but it does shadow quite a bit. It's sort of scratchy, but not an unbearable amount. Contradictive to it being slightly scratchy, there's a lot of ink that dispenses. The ink is a vivid black, at least. The grip is comfortable but not my favorite; it's quite high on the pen. The pen feels a bit cheap, despite the price being considerably high. It also makes a rattling noise while writing with it, and the clicker is loud. Overall, a fine pen. I wouldn't recommend it, but I'll use it up.

I was gifted this set of Pilot G2 Gel Roller Black Pens 2 Pack in exchange for my honest review. These are seriously great pens! They provide a truly smooth and comfortable writing experience with vibrant and vivacious colored or black inks in all sorts of unique colors and shades. Even with these plain black G2 Gel Pens you can tell the ink is quality ink made from great materials. I don’t get any uncomfortable pressure points when writing with these pens even for extended periods of time. 2 big thumbs up!

These are the only pens I'll buy. I get them in .7 and 1.0, but I think I prefer the .7's. The 1.0 will sometimes smear cause the lines are thick, but they write amazingly well and smooth. These are the pens I don't let people use cause they'll take them. These are also the pens I'll take from you if you let me use one. 😆 We have a couple on our table and one of our cats always loves to play with them and bat them around. I buy'em by the 12-pack so I have some at home and some at work. My Mom will only use these now as well so I always gotta donate a couple to her. You can't go wrong with these. If you give them a try, you won't go back to anything else. Simply the best ball point gel pens around.

This is the best pen ever. It has a fine tip, the grip is amazing, it fits perfectly in your hand, it doesn’t have a cap, it has a click top, which I love because I tend to lose the caps of pens all the time. It has a bit of weigh too it, which makes it feel really luxurious (for a pen to feel luxurious you know it’s good lol) The ink does not stain, or run, it drys quickly. The fine tip makes my handwriting look clear and able to read extremely well, I have a bit on the smaller side handwriting. If you’re a person like me and love a good pen, this is a must have. The price is higher then the average one, that’s because this isn’t average! Buy it!

I use these pens for almost everything! The pigment is so beautiful and it glides so smoothly across most medias. I can use this for writing letter, notes, paperwork, etc. The only big con I could think of is that it smudges a bit easily, especially if you don’t give it a few seconds to dry, I usually give it about 10-15 seconds. Also, when you use highlighters it smudges so I would lay the highlights down first. But, besides that, these pens are amazing and my go-to pens for most situations! I recommend this for anyone and I will be continuing to use this in the future.

I have written thousands of pages over the years with these pens. They are the best, they last a long time, rarely leak (out of the hundreds I’ve used up, only one ever leaked, and three had the roller tip wear off before the ink ran out) The ink flow is very smooth with minimal pressure required to get a solid line out of it. As I am a chronic hand-writer, that specific feature has probably saved me from developing a repetitive strain injury. I left one in an old backpack and it still worked after seven years of just sitting. It is a very quality pen. The only thing that really messes it up is writing too hard with it, so if you write like you’re carving your words in stone, it would not work well for you.

I can’t speak for the longevity of this pen but I’m hopeful. I hate writing in pen - much prefer pencil. But at my work end up reaching for a pen most of the time because we never have pencils unless I bring my own. Which I do but lose or forget. These will live in a special spot at work so I don’t forget. Anyway - have been on the hunt for a fine point pen that doesn’t smudge or get too inky. I have horrible writing and regular cheap pens don’t help. I ordered some others that were .5 but they smudged. These are perfect and the click version so I don’t have to worry about losing the cap. I bought them for myself and one of my coworkers who usually picks us up some dollar store versions that are ok but fall apart. And they still smudge. Love these pens!

I purchased the pens to work on a doodling project with a small group of women. I really would have preferred micron pens but they were too expensive so I crossed my fingers and hoped that these would work well. They worked wonderfully! They produced very black fine lines with little effort and many of the women asked where I had gotten them as they also wanted to purchase them. I am left handed and often times gel pens smear as I drag my hand across the paper. This was not a problem with these. The ink dried quickly enough that I didn't have any smears.

The only pens my daughter uses

My daughter just graduated from high school and she has used the Pilot G2 pens for the last 3 years. They are the only kind she wants for college. She is an artist and wants things to look nice, even if they are just notes for class! She says they write smoothly and she likes the medium-fine point (0.7mm). I like the clear barrels so you can see when the ink is getting low. Reasonably priced, especially if you buy them on sale. And it's good that you can refill them (saves plastic) but I don't know why the refills cost more per pen than a whole pen costs!
