Pilot G2 Retractable Gel Pen Fine 0.7mm Red

Disclaimer: I LOVE colored pens, pencils, markers, etc. Secondly, I love Pilot pens in general. As an artist (wannabe), I've used pilot needle point pens all my life. They're a staple. However, I'm also color-coded with notes, and even though I gravitate towards the 0.5mm counterparts, these 0.7mm do the trick just fine for less detailed work. They dry fairly quickly and are quite smooth. As with most gel pens, the first few strokes in some colors may seem to skip or blob, but that should clear once the pen is used more. The colors are fantastic and very bright. You won't be able to see these on black paper, but most people won't write on black anyway. These are my daily note takers and loving them. Pilot G2 Premium Gel Roller Pens in the color blue are a wonderful pen to use daily! They truly do write in bold with 1.0 mm in size. They write super smoothly and are quick drying. I love how the pen feels in my hand as I am writing and it does not give me any sort of cramp after writing for a long time. This pen is also refillable, which makes it even more amazing. I absolutely love that it has comfort grip as well. Pilot has always put out excellent writing utensils and this one is no different. You also cannot beat the price! When I worked as a nurse, back in the day of writing in charts, Pilot G2 pens were my choice of pen to use. We would literally fight to keep our pens with us at all time. If someone borrowed it, we would watch them until it was brought back home to my pocket lol. It is not that serious anymore, but I do still love this pen. I have them all around the house to use as needed. This pen is always reliable, comes out clean, and never leaks. There is never any smears and the writing is always smooth. I especially love the red colored ink I was sent to review. In a paperless world I think it is still important to hand write, for a personal touch and also to keep some dexterity in our fingers!

I’m a nurse practitioner, and they always say that you never steal a nurse’s favorite pen. I feel like I have tried the majority of the pens out there and believe that the Pilot G2 bold blue ink pen has silky smooth ink with a comfortable grip that does not lead to early writing fatigue. I wrote a sentence (as pictured) and completed the smear test. It honestly held up well; however, I did remove a star because those who write faster may experience more smearing, or if you use this pen to write a card, you may need to wait a few extra seconds before closing the card to ensure there is no transfer to the other side. Other than this, I would absolutely keep this pen in my scrub pocket!

⁦I prefer pens with gel ink as skips are unacceptable. The BOLD size in different colors is my favorite since the line is somewhat bigger but requires no more effort. The ink dries rapidly, leaving no unsightly streaks. However, the orange generally involves more work and produces worse results. The green occasionally performs the same thing, but with less frequency and better outcomes. The others are wonderful. The little padding helps to reduce finger/hand fatigue.⁩ Pros : - Generally consistent performance - Low cost. - Strong, pleasant click mechanism. - Reliable writer who doesn't dry up or miss - Very well-behaved on most papers. I found myself really loving how this pen writes on the page it comes out fine and doesn't feel or leave a thick and blotchy trail from the starting point of writing to the end. I wanted to show how the ink compares to other pens that I use (ballpoint, gel-ology, permanent marker) now this doesnt mean throw out all the pens you currently have and dedicate yourself to just this type of pen but I would say consider it because the writing is sooooo smooth compared to what other gel pens used to provide. I liked the comfortability of using the product, so I don't feel like I would be frustrated with long usage time, and thankfully, after I don't get that leaking or smearing directly after writing. Can I just say that using this pen forced me to want to write things more and implement more fancy or cursive writing prompts in order to use it more. I just found the smoothness of using so intriguing. all in all i found my experience with this pen to be completely positive no smearing or blotchy writing, I found myself pleasantly surprised at how smooth it was to write with and how comfortable it is especially if you are expecting to use it for long periods of time especially for what I was using it for which requires near perfect writing to help the student learn and understand their missteps and their successes. 5/5 I wish I could say I had an issue to look for, but my experience was all positive.

The writing is always smooth and never a missed location of ink to be seen. It’s a quick drying pen and the blue color is bold and strong! I love that these are refillable!! They have comfort grip which makes for a comfortable writing utensil. This point is a 0.7 fine point, which is a standard I feel like everyone should have! These pens last a long time and I will be buying refillable ink, once mine run out.

The pens were treasured and used; but I’ve come to the conclusion that technology has advanced even in this field. The gel ink in this pen writes smoothly and the ink appears as if it were written with one of the better pens on the market. This particular pen is priced so that it can be given to a child to use as it learns to hold a writing instrument correctly to form proper appearing letters into words without fear of ink staining their hands or clothing.
