The DDJ-800 brings professional club-standard performance to a portable 2-channel controller that's built for DJs who need serious functionality without the bulk. Weighing 1.3kg less than the DDJ-1000, this controller maintains the beloved club layout and colour on-jog display features while being perfectly suited for gigs, weddings and parties. The customisable Colour LCD On Jog Display sits at the centre of each jog wheel, allowing you to view essential information like BPM, waveform, playback position, Hot Cue and Loop points without constantly checking your computer screen. Built with the same button, knob and fader arrangement as professional NXS2 club equipment, the DDJ-800 provides an authentic mixing experience that translates directly to any professional booth setup. The controller supports rekordbox dj's Feedback Reducer feature, automatically detecting and reducing microphone “howling” - particularly useful when managing multiple microphones during events with guest speakers and MCs. Beyond its DJ capabilities, the DDJ-800 functions as a standalone mixer for external audio sources, giving you control over volume, trims, channel faders and EQs even when operating independently. When connected to rekordbox dj, you gain access to Sound Colour FX and Beat FX, allowing you to apply professional effects and processing to create distinctive performances that set your shows apart from the competition.

I already have had a DDJ-800 since it was first released by Pioneer. It is a great unit at the higher end of DJ controllers on the market and can be used both on mobile work and in clubs.Packed full of features found on the top end controllers but has two channels rather than four and is therefore more compact which can be a bonus in situiations where space is at a premium. I needed a second unit as a backup but unfortunately the DDJ-800 has been out of stock for almost a year due to the world chip shortage. I saw GAK had them in stock at one of the best prices in the UK. GAK is an excellent retailer and well worth checking out.

The out of town cousin to the higher end CDJ's.Portability, size, weight, doesnt feel cheap.Good sound quality and FX are good enough to pull some tricks. I like the display in the middle of the jog wheel, keeps from relying on a laptop, not as much.It meets the expectation. What it misses from being a perfect 5 STARS is that its still dependent on a laptop.Rekordbox seems a bit skethcy with audible surge sounds at least from the first few runs of version 5.7.x. Upgraded to 5.8 and ran all Windows updates. Hoping things resolved.Great for any DJ and situation. Its the right size and only controller with a center displayin the Jog wheel. If only there were an external screen attachment that removes a $2000 laptop from the equation. Friend of mine does part time DJ sets for weddings etc. He said as i am always playing with music, cutting samples and making beats etc. Why don't i buy a DJ controller and start mixing some stuff down? I went on the hunt with having done research into what's what, the Pioneer FLX6 seemed to fit the bill until i looked into the connectivity. I then set my sights on the DDJ-800 and boy i was not disappointed, I find it to be intuitive and user friendly from the off. I started to understand transitions and beat matching which with the technology it packs was not hurting even as a starter. All in all i find myself indulging in the wealth of features the DDJ-800 has for on offer for hours and i keep finding something new.Bang for buck, you would be hard pushed to find a better spec and quality device at the £799 price tag.One other note, on hearing other controllers i was dubious of sound output quality, the 800 has superb sound reproduction and is far by the best i heard even on some over £1k.

Amazing professional controller from Pioneer
23 October 2022

I upgraded my controller from a Denon DN-MC6000 to a Pioneer DDJ-800 and I have ZERO regrets this controller delivers in so many ways. I love the functions and ease of use of this controller. I would highly recommend this controller to anyone. I purchased mine directly from Sam Ash and they we're able to get it to me in a very reasonable amount of time. Needless to say, i'm very satisfied.

Overall:Was looking for a new controller to replace my Denon MC6000MK2. I do weddings and needed a portable controller, with 2 Mic inputs, stand alone, with at least an aux out. The DDJ 800 hit all the check marks, but I found it quite pricey. After some serious thought I pulled the trigger. I am a Virtual DJ user and was a bit worried about using Rekordbox I own Serato but still prefer VDJ. The Rekordbox program is simply outstanding. The controller is the right size for a mobile DJ. It is quite light , and built decently. I was disappointed that for $900 it was all plastic. I would have preferred at least a metal top plate, but that would have added additional weight, so it's a give and take. The unit works like a charm. Adding my music, and downloading the program was a breeze. The sound-card is simply beautiful to listen to. It seemed like my mixes and transitions were easier, than on my MC6000MK2. Virtual DJ is already working on a mapping, but I might just stay using Rekordbox. The attenuation on the mics is a welcome addition. Most DJ controllers have poor mic inputs. Your Mic is usually too hot. The unit allows you to correct a too hot mic. I Have not used it on a gig yet, but I feel pretty confident with it. I am happy with my purchase and for the most part I love the unit, but $900! (ouch!!!) If not for Play as You Play I might have skipped this unit.

Pioneer DDJ 800 - Amazing
6 October 2020

This set of decks are truly amazing, they are designed and made very well and they look really professional. The lighting on them when they are turned on are remarkable. This was a gift for my son who has really taken to DJ’ing and he could not believe it when he took it out the box, they are so impressive that I am trying to learn how to use them too. My son and I are particularly impressed with the screen within the turn table which allows you to see the bpm and a logo of the track. Pioneer just get better and better, my son said that he has no reason to look for an upgrade and will enjoy this for years to come.Service - This has been the first time I have used Djkit and I must say the service was awesome and I would happily recommend with 5 stars. Pioneer DDJ-800
13 July 2020

After much deliberating I finally decided to go with the DDJ-800 to replace my aging CDJ-350 setup. Next, finding somewhere that hat the unit in stock. After scanning the internet for weeks on end, nearly everywhere was saying late July, early August. Then up pops DV247 with stock due on 12 of July 🤩. No hesitation add to cart and buy before they all get bought lol.Even though my purchase came to the UK from Germany, from ordering it was with me within 3 days. Packaged very well too, time to get back to doing what I love again, mixing music.Again, thanks for the great service guys, I won't hesitate to use you again in the future ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Solid product. Onboarding experience needs help
15 April 2023

Up until my purchase, I found these all-in-one units to be gimmicky. Ideally, I'd prefer one without the FX options but there did not seem to be a similar unit without such. Overall, the build quality is better than expected -- even if I can't stand the reflective surface on the mixer. Onboarding is awful but that's down to Pioneer's site being an absolute sloth. I haven't yet moved between my technics 1200 and this unit to see how the addition of turntables ads up to it.The only issues I take with the compactness of the unit is that it feels easier to trip the cue/pause-play buttons when working the platters. I never really found that to be an issue on the stand-alone units.Overall, it's decent, saves space and a LOT of money.

Best thing I've bought in years.Whoever desiged this is a genius. Have used a traktor S2 for years to make tapes and it felt like a controller.I came from the lane or vinyl 25 years ago and had the standard 1210 setup - this controller is the closest thing I've felt to those but digital with all the bells and whistles. It literally feels like and extension of me already and always me so much creative control - just awesome. Can't leave it alone.Djkit were awesome too. Had a few driver problems and they were quick to call me back and help me resolve them. Also delivery was super quick - even with the current situation.Love my ddj-800 and happy to recommend djkit too!

best purchase ever
22 September 2022

I was so impatient to get this. Originally I wanted the ddj400 but it was on back order so when I got the notification for the 800 I was hesitant to buy it but I really wanted this just didn't know if I was Ted to buy it at 800 plus instead of the 400 priced at a fraction of it. So I pulled the trigger and said yolo, so far the case is good quality and the controller is so responsive and fun. I'm a beginner but I really wanted to dj since highschool but didn't have money. Now I'm learning and learning fast cause within a week I was able to mix at least 10-25 songs seamlessly. So much for improvement too and gotta learn all the knobs and buttons and wanna get creative. But overall best thing I've bought since a PC
