This controller is not for everyone but for those of you who desire a full size professional standalone this is a must.I get it, it's really technically a 2 channel standalone mixer out of the box, unless you use your laptop or add peripheral devices. The controller is very responsive in all modes and has a great sound card, a very responsive fader, and full size very responsive jog wheels. You also get real-time information displayed on the color screen and the jog wheels. Is it better than the prime 4? I have both and unless either Denon or Pioneer creates a controller that has all of what the XZ and Prime 4 have, I will continue to use both.

I ve been wanting to upgrade my decks for many years but I ve always put it off because of something or other. I finally took the plunge and after a fair amount of research I decided on the XDJ XZ and all I can say is how phenomenal this controller is! It has absolutely everything and I cannot fault it at all so far. It s far superior to my old setup and I m loving mixing again! The buying experience was brilliant also. I bought it and it was here the next day. Super fast and a really happy customer!

I'm used to having three pieces of equipment, two turn tables and a mixer all separate. I was actually quite skeptical to buy an all in one unit. Matter of fact I really wanted to just get two CDJ2000NX2's and a DJM900NX2. Since I no longer Dj in the club and just spin at home, spending $6500 did not make a lot of sense. So I bit the bullet and decided to get the XDJ-XZ. I want to say, honestly this is the first time I bought a new gear and wasn't excited about it arriving. I was so used to having a particular set up and steering away from that was very difficult. After unboxing the unit and hooking everything up with my Technics 1200GR's I started working with the unit. The feel of the mixer was just like Working with my DJM800. The functionality is tight and precise. Although I was not excited initially I will say that I'm absolutely thrilled to have this new piece of gear.

My friend e has been wanting this upgrade to Her equipment for maybe a year & I committed myself to making this happen. When new XDJ XZs became available the end of February I jumped as there were new boards finally available and I promised my friend and BH came through and made a very happy young woman. I am a musician and don't know that much about dj but the biggest selling point is both Seranto and Record Box run on it and it works with a flash drive. The controllers are alot more precise over Her previous Pioneer dj. She does production work on it too. The connections are all what I would expect from a Pro piece of equipment with xlr, ts, trs, or rcas. This was a smart move as used is selling for more than new. I am a consistent BH customer & I made a customer ... MoreMy friend e has been wanting this upgrade to Her equipment for maybe a year & I committed myself to making this happen. The pioneer XDJ - XZ is the perfect controller for anybody. Whether you're a professional, intermediate, Or amateur/ beginner , You won't have to ever consider buying another . The quality is superb as to be expected by pioneer, Everything feels so solid and durable. It may be a little more than most other controllers, but this is probably the closest controller. You can buy next to a CDJ 3000.
Lovely controller with dual Rekordbox & Serato capability with all the tricks of a Nexus setup at a fraction of the price. The build quality is immense with a good functional layout. 4 decks available if you use Serato but only 2 available if you are using USB's / Rekordbox in standalone mode. Plenty of custom adjustments for screens and mic setup in the menu, with a setting for everything you would like to adjust. The effects unit is stacked with something for everyone in there somewhere. I quite like the label artwork being displayed on the platters when I use Serato and the selection of Serato folders & tracks when linked to the controller means you can have your laptop out of sight and run everything through the controllers display unit with wave forms and cue ... I purchased one of these units in Late 2019. Throughout the pandemic there was a large gap in venues that could be performed in so I only had the opportunity to put the unit through its paces a few times during live sets. Once restrictions were lifted and venues opened up I was able to book myself a couple of gigs and develop a steady income stream again. On the FIRST EVENT I was performing at and over eager member of the crowd rushed their way past security and managed to douse the unit with a full Margarita, killing the equipment and ending the performance early. Stay away if you are risk averse and are worried about damage to your unit. This unit, although precise and immaculate, renders the lowest review score possible because the Manufacturer failed to support the unit less than 3 years after inception. Shame on Pioneer.
I was looking to upgrade my CDJ 900s and wanted something to match the features of recent CDJ setups, but without the price tag. The mixer is virtually indistinguishable from a Nexus 2 setup. The unit has so many inputs for USBs, Laptop, network, phonos, line-ins, it is super versatile and can handle any requirement, plus work in standalone USB or controller mode. Sure it is not cutting edge, but the screen is lovely, and it just works the way we are all used to. This will last me many many years.
There have been some issues with Pioneer DJ getting these into U.K. dealers of late. Pioneer DJ told me its a combination of not being able to make them fast enough and added restrictions bringing them into the country due to COVID. TBH I had a deposit with x3 official suppliers and DJ Kit were able to get me one soonest. Im glad it was them because the customer service was excellent. I really cant fault it. Getting on to the vinit though its exactly what I needed and hoped for. The full size jogs of the NXS2 CDJs are an absolute joy to use and that DJM900 mixer section is incredible. Its connected to my active studio monitors via balanced XLRs using high quality Neutrik XLR plugs and my favourite (flat response) Sommer Carbokab cable and the whole thing just sounds ... Its connected to my active studio monitors via balanced XLRs using high quality Neutrik XLR plugs and my favourite (flat response) Sommer Carbokab cable and the whole thing just sounds incredible. Its sounds crisper and sharper than the USB audio from the iMac to the same monitors using my Focusrite Scarlett interface, its that good. Using the unit as a stand-alone is great just load your usb into one of the two type A ports on the top fascia and youre playing in seconds. Hot cues load instantly and that large 7 touch screen displays all the info you could reasonably want. In addition the jogs now display waveform, cues, countdown/up, artwork etc. Connected to RB it works beautifully too. All in Im massively pleased with this. I have only one gripe and Ive taken this up with Pioneer DJ, and that is that in RB its possible to key change and key match using the closest harmonic semitones, however theres no way of doing it on this gear in standalone mode. The display shows the key the track is when its loaded but you cant set it. It will change as you pitch up/down in speed (unless Master Tempo is on) but you have to do it by ear and that will throw out your bpm as you cant have both. Ive suggested it as a firmware update but these things take time. Its just a shame as otherwise this unit is SO perfect, but overall it wont stop me enjoying playing on this if putting out great mixes.
This thing is amazing. Well considering going from a flx 6 to this. It was abit strange transitioning over to this more technical controller but now I'm learning more about it. It's flipping ace. I'm glad I brought one. I'd highly recommend it too 😁
