Rain-X 103ml Original Glass Water Repellent

I have used this product religiously on every vehicle windshield and side window that I have owned.Little did I know of a side purpose.... not that I'm necessarily going to encourage it but here goes...I learned that should a bottle of Rain-X spill in the bacl floorboard will create a pool like effect. Yes, it will then safely hold the soda/ juice/ milk or whatever beverage those heathens in the back spill onto the floor. And it's much more effective than Scotchgard. Fancy that?So as I said I don't suggest trying it but it was a neat little tidbit to learn.

An Absolute Must For Your Vehicles

Rain-X has been one of the best vehicle safety products I've come to rely upon for over 30 years. This Rain-X product is a coating that you apply to glass surfaces to prevent water from sticking to and spotting on your windshield when it rains. It allows the rain that hits your windshield to dissipate or roll right off. You can also apply the product to the rubber part of wiper blades. Clean them first and rub some product onto them.Rain-X makes some other products which work great to enhance this product too. Rain-X makes wiper blades and a windshield washing fluid. If you use the fluid, ensure that when you get your oil changed to tell them not to add fluid to the reservoir because Rain-X and blue fluid don't mix!Once you apply this product you will see that you don't need to run your wipers as fast as before or in some cases need to use them at all. On highways, even in driving rain, the rain hits the windshield and explodes off the glass, instantly dissipating. In winter, the snow just slides off the glass surfaces. If iced over, you can slide the sheet of ice right off the glass surfaces in one piece. Who wants to stand in their driveway before work, half asleep, playing around with snow while freezing?Rain-X also makes a plastic treatment for plastic surfaces (headlight covers, atv or snow machine windshields, etc.), as well as an anti-fogging treatment. I've also used Rain-X on eyeglasses, sports goggles, and our home’s skylights. I highly recommend this product, not only for the convenience it brings, but for the safety aspects as well.

Do not have this shipped!

This product is nothing short of amazing. It works wonderfully as advertised. However, if you haven’t purchased this recently, the bottle is about 1/2 the size that it used to be. This is the worse case of shrinkflation I have ever seen.Also, do not order this. When I received my order, the lid was slightly loose & some of the product had leaked out coating the bottle & the bag it was in.

You won't have to re-apply for about 8 weeks and the application and removal process becomes much less traumatic as long as you follow the instructions. I've used Rain X a few times before and if you like it you'll be re-applying it in about 2 months or so, it's water shedding properties decrease over time. During that 2 months when the Rain-X is 'active' you'll be happy you put it on. The water beads and rolls off your windshield and even in a frog stranglin' downpour you'll barely have to cut the wipers on. If you need a small, convenient, glove compartment sized bottle to carry around with you then this is the one you want, otherwise, maybe have a look at the spray if you want a little more economical version.

Higher Visibility in rain

I hate driving in the rain and not being able to see so well so I decided to give this a try. I'm glad I did. I applied this to the front and rear windshield as well as all the side windows on my SUV. I felt like the directions were not very clear. I wasn't sure if I was using too much liquid or maybe not enough and it says to let it dry before wiping off but it doesn't say how long that takes and you can't tell by looks or touch if it's dry. I ended up using about a quarter of the bottle and I let it dry for about a half an hour. That seemed to work very well. It rained the next day and while driving, the rain would bead up like the glass was waxed and it made it so much easier to see. I think my only complaint would be that in the mornings when there is dew on the window you have to get the window completely dry before driving in the sun or the glare is just to much to handle. But other than that I really like this stuff and will make sure to reapply whenever it wears off.

When testing the new product, I made sure to follow the directions on the bottle, but the results were nowhere near as good as it was years ago. I cleaned my windshield well with a glass cleaner, waited to make sure it was completely dry, then applied the Rain-X product in circles as directed. It dried with a haze like it said it would, and then I removed the haze with a clean towel. Shortly afterward, we got in the car to go somewhere but didn't leave the driveway because there was still a haze on the windshield. The new Rain-X product also comes in 3.5 ounce bottles when it used to come in 7 ounce bottles so you get half as much. The new bottle went into the cupboard behind the originals since it's an inferior product in comparison.

Rain-X Original is bank!

Tried out Rain-X Original on my 2001 Chevy Malibu LS while at the local self-serve car wash. Worked great. I didn't used very much at all and was able to cover my windshield, side windows, side mirrors, rear window and headlamps! And STILL have more than 3/4 of the bottle left! I've always sworn by Rain-X and now I know I'll keep a bottle of it in my car. I feel the application will only need to be used every other car wash as it does seem to last. One application has lasted all this week and we've had some high winds and drizzle, yet I haven't seen any streaking yet. My pictures are from the time of application about 5 days ago. Really nice. Went on smooth and had no streaking at time of application. Winter is coming and it pays to have some Rain-X on the windshield, windows, mirrors and headlamps as it really does make de-icing easier as well as keeping the rain at bay. I would love to be able to show you all of the photos, but only two are allowed, probably due to file conservation, but I hope you see how well my windshield shines after the application. Driving in light, misty rain is annoying and an application of Rain-X Water Repellent has always made life easier by causing the rain to immediately bead up and be swept off of my windshield by the wind at highway speed.Application is very easy, I would just ignore some of the comments from people who clearly did not bother to actually READ the instructions. The results in the very first rainstorm will amaze you.I promise you that you will be tempted to not even use your windshield wipers, it is that good. If you experience frequent rain, you will need to retreat your window glass at least once a week to keep the water repellency at an optimum level. I have been considering buying Rain-X brand windshield washer fluid that may extend the need to re-apply the original formula.Buy it! It works!

We use this on our Shower glass doors & Shower glass surrounds - apply as per instructions to clean glass, top tips are to wet the glass down first before you start with the body & hair wash products - the products won't stick to the shower surround & door if it's pre-wet. Safety!

I will never drive a car without first applying this stuff. I almost never even use my windshield wipers anymore because there is no need to. In rain I would have been struggling to see a couple feet ahead before it now just beads and rolls off leaving me a clear view ahead making it easier to navigate when it’s raining hard. Even in torrential rain and rooster tails off other cars this stuff works to quickly clear the water automatically and makes me feel so much safer driving in the rain. A must have!!!
