An Australian favourite when it comes to bluewater trolling, the 10cm Rapala X-Rap Magnum works straight from out of the box. They can be run up to 13 knots for big game fish worldwide, and Rapala X-Rap Magnum deep divers have resulted in many world records. If you are after a high-speed trolling lure that dives to around 3-4 metres and for an added attraction at depth, its textured translucent body, 3D holographic eyes, significant water patterns and internal holographic foil will tempt predators from afar. If trolling is not your scene, this lure will cast a mile, and work its butt off in depths between 3 and 4 metres, ideal if you are targeting barramundi, mackerel, tuna, kingfish, salmon, tailor, wahoo and dolphin fish.

Great lure for tailor Casts like a bullet and gets the bite

These cast really well and I do take a lot of salmon with them, couta also. But they could use a little more action so I could use a slower retrieve. But very reliable. I tend to lose them only because they put a lot of stress on the line which will snap after an hour or so of casting if you don’t retire a few metres of line.

If I were fishing for Atlantic Salmon, this lure would have been five star without doing a thing to it. But for the purpose of this five star review, I'm basing it on modification to the original lure... Replaced the treble hooks with #2 single oyster hooks (x2) on #6 split rings and kingfish, (plus one entirely unexpected barracuda), have been disrespecting the lure's finish with their teeth since. I had to make these modifications because the treble hooks on the original lure were bent on my first hook up with a 64cm kingfish.

Slays the Tailor and swims quite well, be sure to take front treble hooks off to avoid snags!
Great lure for casting and great action on the retrieve
A great casting lure for mullaway at the beach
Excellent made quality with holographic eyes. Can easily how a fish thinks its real food source while moving in water. Excellent quality hooks as well.. definitely will by again.
