Junk. We purchased 3 of these hoverboards for Christmas gifts for our kids this year and it hasn't been a month out and we've had all 3 machines break doing the same exact thing with only one wheel turning. These have only been used indoors and within the weigh limits. It's very random what causes the malfunction but extremely frustrating. Walmart was very quick to send a replacement for the first one, my older child just wanted a refund and now we are dealing with Razor directly for a replacement for the 3rd board. I guess if they keep breaking down we will just get our money back. What a hassle. Not impressed.

My daughter(7yrs) has had this Hovertrax hoverboard for over a month now, and she is obsessed. She has even learned how to complete tedious household chores while riding on said hoverboard. I purchased this item on sale, and was weary at first of what the quality may be like…. But we have had zero issues at all. I recommend this hoverboard to anyone.

Luckily the Razor Hovertrax Brights came fully-charged and ready to go out of the box, even though the instructions indicated that it would not likely be the case and recommended a 12-hour charge time before the first use. The only downside to the Razor is that a full charge will last only about 30 minutes. The kids have been using this the full 30 minutes every time, so we have to charge it a lot, and it does not charge fast. I was surprised by how quickly all of the kids picked up how to run a Razor Hovertrax, since the instructions seemed difficult to me. I appreciate that it has a "training mode" so that my wife (who was very worried about having the kids use this) felt more comfortable while I was helping them learn how to ride. Very happy with these. Only used a few times but they are solid and fast. Feel decent quality. My eldest daughter fell off of one within 5 mins of using for the first time and landed badly (and was struggling to walk for two days after - but is fine now). Make sure they take it SLOW and don’t get too over confident on it straight away :-). Now they are zipping around the neighbourhood with no accidents and look like pros. I have no other hoverboards to compare these too but really happy with them
Let's see if this works.... I spent the last 30 minutes typing up an honest review, explaining everything I have been through with this hoverboard, and everytime I try to hit submit it tells me there are errors?? Purchased as Santa gift, first day the hoverboard stops in the middle of my son riding it, throwing him off of it!!! Gone through circles trying to replace it or get a refund and Walmart says past the 90 days return policy; Allstate Protection Plan doesn't cover faulty products, only breakage and wear and tear; Razor only replaces (well, makes you replace) parts. Huge waste of 148$ on the hoverboard and waste of 18$ on the protection plan. And my son is out his gift from Santa.
Hovertrax Black Label we bought a Christmas of 2021 just died! Just checked the warranty and Razor only gives 90 days. It will power on and only one side will initialize and self level. When pressure is placed on the other side an error tone (load beeping) signals and can't be used. I'm debating getting it repaired or getting a new one. If we get a new one, it won't be Razor!! Because of inflation to buy the same one is now over 100 dollars from what we paid for it a year ago.
I thought the design was nice this was the first hoverboard my daughter ever used. She got the one in pink and it seems nice and glides smoothly. The tires were better then I expected them to be. We were disappointed upon opening that we couldn’t use it right away and it said to charge for a full 12 hours. The other downside is this feels like a broken bone waiting to happen. I think with the foot piece you stand on not being connected to the other foot and moving on it’s own, makes it much more difficult for a child to balance on it. I understand why it’s designed that way to be able to turn but it seems quite difficult and my daughter was too frustrated to learn.
