ResMed Airsense 10 AutoSet 3G Automatic Cpap Machine

An amazing machine. And super, super quiet. My wife, who shares the bed, cannot hear anything. After about a week I'd got used to it and found that I was no longer feeling tired and the sudden fatigue I'd come to expect mid afternoon from having disrupted sleep for so long had dissipated. It measures how many 'incidents' happen per hour and gives you an average reading upon waking and switching the machine off. At the time of writing this review, I've been using it nearly a month and have to say it's probably one of the wisest items I've purchased in the past decade.

I had the previous model of this cpap (the pink one) for over 15 years and loved it. This newer model is barely functional. The design of the water container is crap. It is designed to overflow if you fill it to the maximum water mark because the opening slants downward to the flow tube. An without the maximum amount of water, you do not get 8 hours of continuous sleep with humidity. The metal part of the water container is 1/2 inch at the deep end and 1/4 inch at the shallow end. the rest of the water container is plastic and can possibly leak where the plastic cover attaches to the metal--which is why it is recommended that this container be replaced on a regular basis. I never had to replace the water container on my old cpap. The previous model had a water container that was seamless metal 1 1/2 inches all around, higher than the water mark. Also, this new machine came set on auto and I cannot get the ramp up time reset or manage the temperature of the water. I guess if I wanted more control over settings I could have gotten the model that was twice what I had to pay for this one. My old model was very well made, unfortunately I cannot find anyone that will service the motor on it--that is all I need to keep my old cpap working.

The representative that I spoke with walked me through the extra set up needed so I would have all the options that Daryl and I discussed. The machine worked flawlessly the first night I used it. In the morning, I removed the pre-loaded SD card and entered it into my laptop using the "OSCAR" app. The info provided from the previous nights use was detailed and should be all I need to present to the doctor who conducts my DOT physical. This type of customer service is why I continue to get my CPAP machines and supplies from CPAP.com. And this is why you should as well!
