I can’t say enough about this product. I’ll begin by saying that I’ve absolutely fallen in love with this skin care line. I use revision’s brightening wash at night and then apply revision retinol 1.0. If you have never used a retinoids or retinol, I’d recommended beginning with the .5 as opposed to the 1.0 as 1.0 may be too powerful for your skin. This is a medical grade product. The price is very reasonable. I have been using twice per week for the past two months and am not even close to half way through the 1oz container. Application is smooth. If my skin is a little dry, I’ll add the retinol to a face cream in order to help one drop cover my entire face. Did not irritate or dry-out my skin.

At the request of an online dermatologist, I use retinol twice a week and Retin-A once a week. I use the Revision retinol, because I have been very happy with this skin line. It is a good product and is not as pricey as other products I have used. The Revision Retinol doesn’t make my face peel or itch.

This has helped minimize fine lines, gotten rid of blackheads on my nose and and improved the texture of my skin. I was introduced to Revision a year and a half ago approximately, I’ve stuck with it since and incorporated other products from the line because it works. This is only a half percent and I’ve never felt inclined to up to the 1%. I have sensitive allergic skin and while I have had peeling and dry spots in the beginning this is the first time in nearly 40 years that I was able to continue using a retinol. If you are dryer or sensitive use in conjunction with a moisturizer of your choice.

My skin is more youthful looking. If youre new to retinol, you might want to start with .5%
7 March 2019

If youre new to using retinol, you should start with a .5% formula for a few weeks, then begin using Revision Skincare Retinol Complete 1%. If you have sensitive skin, you might find that retinol will redden & irritate your skin.Revision Skincare Retinol Complete 1% is a yellow cream which quickly absorbs. Youre instructed to apply it 2 to 3 times a week at night. Im a senior citizen and have been fortunate in that I didnt have many wrinkles until I turned 70...then a few started appearing. Ive been applying this twice a week, and have noticed that my skin is looking more youthful and some very fine wrinkles are diminished so its working for me. I should mention that I dont have sensitive skin.Do not apply this near your eyes. Nice Retinol Creme
8 April 2023

I bought this to complete my nightly skincare routine along with Revision's Hydrating Serum, and Restorative Night Cream. I am 65, and I have seen a significant difference in the texture of my skin and my pores are a bit smaller. If my skin becomes too dry, I skip a few nights of use then go back to using it again. I will definitely purchase again.

Not for dry skin!
11 September 2023

I’ve used other retinol brand before and I was fine with the 0.5% formulation. After hearing well about revision I decided to buy it to test it out. After couple days using it I realized my skin uncomfortable dried and itchy, although I was using other products at the same time and I thought it could be some of the other ones… I did individual tests by every week to see what was making my skin extra dry, until the apex day! I woke up in the morning and my eyes were swollen and extremely itchy, I was shocked. Went to the doctor next day and we found out it was due this retinol. At a glance it says it’s good for dry skin, however, I experienced totally opposite. Unfortunately by now I can’t return this item, I’m so disappointed.

Strong and expensive
3 February 2019

I have used many different retinol products, usually weaker strength than this. Now you can get the stronger ones without a prescription. Its tempting to use the strongest one you can find, but - they are harsh on the skin, and you must use a very high SPF sunscreen or youre negating their use by making your skin more sensitive to UV rays. This lotion will cause redness, and is probably too strong for areas around your eyes. It would be good for areas on cheeks and hands that might be prone to wrinkling and age spots. If you find it too strong for most of your face, as I do, you can mix it with a light moisturizer to dilute the strength. But if youre going to dilute it, youre better off buying a cheaper product with a lower concentration of retinol. Very effective product, but be go slow if you have sensitive skin

I used Retin A in my 30s for adult onset acne. It improved my skin so much but was/is prescription only. Retinol is a less aggressive but still very effective ingredient and this 1% product WORKS!It comes in a pretty large container and well worth the money IMHO. The consistency is not too thin or too creamy, it is perfect for smoothing over the skin. This product goes on easily and absorbs quickly with no stickiness. It is not perfumed and frankly, I didnt really notice any kind of scent from it. You dont need; and shouldnt use, a LOT of it, just enough to cover your face.I have very sensitive skin and wasnt sure how my skin would react at first. It did make my skin unhappy at first, with lots of redness and dry skin when using as directed. If you have sensitive skin, i recommend using once a week/10 days for a month or so, then twice a week to let your skin adjust to it. Alternatively, you can start with their .5% product then uplevel to this 1% product after a couple of months. Once you do start using it regularly, your skin will start to look amazing. I really can tell a difference. My fine lines are gone and my skin tone looks better. I am 54 and my skin looks great. If only they had a product to get rid of undereye bags!Since it is a Retin product, your skin will be more sensitive to sunlight. You should be wearing a good facial sunscreen of at least 50 SPF while using this.
