The snare drum and 18 inch ride cymbal are masterfully designed making playing and artistic expression very close to an acoustic set. This set is extremely comfortable and rock solid.Customer service was extremely helpful and delivery was very quick.American Music Supply has Been there for me when purchasing pianos and drums. I purchased this set to replace an old Roland TD8. This set has a "real" hihat as you use a standard hihat stand. The 18" ride is perfect as it has 3 zones including a real "bell" sound. The drum module is very good. You can actually plug directly into a DAW and record each drum and cymbal as a separate track if need be as it has its own interface. I've only had it for about three months, but I really am very impressed with this set. I'm currently working with a band remotely laying down new music recordings. Works perfectly for this application.

I'm a return to my roots in the 60's and 70 when I played in several bands and only ever owned two sets. I'm part retired and decided in need to renew my passion with drumming and had a cheap set of I-rock electronic drums initially. I'm about to move house to an apartment where noise could be a factor so i decided to look around what was available this century. I did research and found that Roland Vdrums had very good reviews and then discovered the TD27 kit. I am now a very proud and satisfied owner of the kit and Wow! it lives up to it's reputation big time. It's high 5's all round for me. A very beautiful, high quality and functional kit. I have not learnt all the electronic functions and tuning yet but look forward to that aspect.

This is a well built and designed kit. The snare and digital ride are a step up from the TD17 I had previously. One small criticism are the standard drum kits the module is loaded with. For me many are novelty kits and others I find it hard to get a good sound from without adjusting the tuning. But that's a personal thing and I am a novice (2years) drummer.

I purchased the TD-25 as an upgrade, but when I saw this I had to have it.The TD-25 is an amazing value with great sounds and ease of use. However this TD-27 kit really kicks it up a notch. The digital snare and cymbal are so much more responsive, the sounds and kit variety is better, the blu-tooth input and SD are so handy. This thing is the real deal. The built in kits are a little weak, but the 3 band eq and transients control really helps! You can also import other kits and sounds, which is really cool! This is my kit for when Im not able to play my acoustic rig, and I couldnt be happier with it!

Loving my Roland TD27KV. I have been promising myself one of these to add to the arsenal for a long time now. What an amazing playing experience. Anyone who may be sceptical of electronic drums, please find a way to try this generation of Roland V Drums. The best testimony I can give is that after hearing them in a rehearsal situation, the guys in the band are begging me to use them live. One tip I would give is to take the time to learn how to program your own kits. Out of the box they are good but not outstanding. With a little tweaking, they are inspirational.
A very good drum set with a fair price. The module is my favorite from Roland so far. Very user friendly and customizable along some great sounds. All of the pads are great and work perfectly. The huge digital pads in particular are a real joy to play on. Some people complain that the floor tom is too small, but I thought it just fine. The hi-hats are a little too small in my opinion, buts that's just a nitpick. I can also appreciate the fact that this drum set is very portable and doesn't take up much room. Overall, this is a great and versatile kit that doesn't really have any real problems. Would highly recommend.
