Now, he likes these every bit as much as his 75t's, if not more, because he can use them independently of each other...This may not sound like much but it allows him to use them in certain work areas that he couldn't wear his others in for safety reasons.I use them independently as well... when I go walking or when I'm working in the house (where my mother lives with me), even though they have great ambient controls, I just personally feel more secure having one ear completely open. The in-app controls are excellent, and for the reasonable person, the sound quality is excellent for the price point. Are you going to be able to literally deafen yourself with these? Absolutely not.Are they more than enough in a setting where you don't have deafening noise around you, like machinery? Absolutely.I love that they have regular updates and now have a small two button control right on my phone face that they didn't before that allow for ambient listening changes, and quick disengagement of the touch feature when you don't want to accidentally hit it and turn them off or fast forward, etc.*This has been a super update for me because I am a sweat dog and I am constantly turning off whatever I'm listening to or fast forwarding three podcasts in the middle of a story because I accidentally brush the earbud as I'm wiping sweat away. The sensitivity is great, until it isn't.This new ability to simply turn off the touch when I start my walk has been a godsend. Bottom line, as inexpensive as the refurbished can be, it is so worth the investment since it carries the same warranty.

5 out of 5 for the best earbuds I've ever used

After trying easily a half dozen, maybe a dozen by now, different earbuds, these are the only ones that do everything I need and don't have any issues that come along with them. Well, there's also that the Find my earbuds feature is pretty unhelpful when the earbuds aren't connected, but I've tried tile, and that was pretty terrible as well, so I didn't have high expectations for the location feature.Note for those wondering: only the right earbud can raise volume, and only the left earbud can lower volume. Either one can fast forward or rewindOverall, five out of five for the best earbuds I've ever used.

(I.E. the official Windows app only supports the Galaxy Buds Pro, with a "Coming Soon" message for the Plus and first gen Buds that's been there for almost two years now.) I personally had to use third party open source software to configure and enable the features of these buds on my Windows PC.I'm not sure if this is an issue with my particular pair, issues with these buds in general, or even issues with the devices I was using them with, but I've experienced many intermittent drop-outs and issues pairing. Often times it requires taking the buds out of my ears, putting them into the clamshell, then re-removing them and attempting another pairing. Rinse and repeat a few times, and eventually they work reliably enough to use them. Several firmware updates later, and they're no less finicky.

Earbuds 5 stars. Case 1 star.
15 October 2022

The bad-- I love these earbuds but the case has been awful. The case won't charge to more than 2%, even when plugged in for 24 hours. I have to keep the case plugged in to charge my earbuds. Thankfully that's not a big issue for me as the earbuds have a really long battery life and I plug my devices in every night, anyway. Samsung online support offers no solution except to go to a Samsung store, which isn't available where I live. Also, the case opens and closes but doesn't snap shut. If you drop the case even on a soft surface, like a bed, the case opens and the buds go flying. Just a little click would be nice to keep the earbuds slightly secure. I paid $90 for these and the case was better on my $30 earbuds. The good--The earbuds are great. They stay in my ears ... MoreThe bad-- I love these earbuds but the case has been awful. I think my case is a lemon, although I've seen a few other posts online about Samsung cases not charging. I will consider Samaung next time but only if the case looks more secure.

Fantastic technology/speakers with one caveat
4 February 2022

I was initially hyped about owning an "official" set of Samsung earbuds, and I can attest to the quality of the speakers (they're great) the quality of the earbuds app (REALLY great), the battery life (pretty solid) and fit (like a glove). These are high quality earbuds, no doubt.THAT SAID...I simply couldn't get past the inconvenience caused by the "touch" controls. What seems like a cool futuristic feature (all you have to do is *touch* your earbuds for it to register!) winds up becoming it's most annoying feature... because ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS TOUCH YOUR EARBUDS FOR IT TO REGISTER.Note- before I continue, let me be clear that you CAN turn off this feature easily through the app. That being said:The "high end" feature of having touch sensitivity instead ... MoreI was initially hyped about owning an "official" set of Samsung earbuds, and I can attest to the quality of the speakers (they're great) the quality of the earbuds app (REALLY great), the battery life (pretty solid) and fit (like a glove). So you just accidentally skipped to the next youtube video, or paused your call, etc. What are otherwise excellent earbuds are hampered by the inconveniences caused by a needless "high end" feature.I've since switched to Jabra 75t's that were on sale. Same features, app support with extra perks (ambiance sounds, active noise cancellation), and the SIDE of each earbud has a small BUTTON. One that needs to be deliberately pressed to activate and can be easily avoided by gripping the earbuds by the sides (to adjust or what have you). So nice to not constantly have to find my spot in a video or un-pause a song because I just adjusted my ski cap or wanted to just adjust it's position a tiny bit.

Great battery life, but the sound is not good.
2 May 2022

Having owned Samsung's AKG wired earbuds that came with my S7Edge, their sound quality is/was great, and the wired buds never came out, unless purposefully or accidentally pulled out, of course.Cons;1.) With these Samsung Galaxy Buds the sound quality is not as good as the old, wired earbuds, which is disappointing to find out. Even changing the earbud tips the sound was still poor, cleaning the speaker outputs still provides no change.2.) No matter the earbud tip, the earbuds pop out or slide out, which got so annoying that I decided to get sewing thread and tied both together, so I won't lose them when one or both pop out and of my ear(s).3.) The Samsung Gear app does nothing to improve the sound quality, the settings in the Gear app is very upsetting.4.) ... MoreHaving owned Samsung's AKG wired earbuds that came with my S7Edge, their sound quality is/was great, and the wired buds never came out, unless purposefully or accidentally pulled out, of course.Cons;1.) The battery life is amazing, without the use of the charging case, I would experience 9 to 11 hours of music, and or videos, which would last me the whole night, which is also the times that I am awake and out.2.) Depending on any thick obstructions, such as many layers of walls, my range with the buds would be within 35-40 feet (10-12 meters), away from my phone, 40 feet (12 meters) and above is where it gets spotty or cuts out.In summary, I am glad I got mine half off, but I am still and always will be upset that Samsung's Galaxy Buds is not as good as their old, wired earbuds that came with the Galaxy phones of the past, at least that came with my S7 Edge. My cheap wireless earbuds that I had before these are better in sound quality and "noise cancelling."Please, reader, do yourself a favor and buy something else, don't believe any reviewer that claims the Buds is "the best earbuds" like I did.

Never buy Best Buy refurbished
5 September 2022

I've never bought anything refurbished but since it was a Best Buy refurbished, a well know retailer, figured I'd give it a shot. Also, I love these ear buds and since I lost mine, I wanted to get the same but Samsung stopped making them. Big mistake going refurbished. If this is what Best Buy considers refurbished, I'm definitely considering shopping somewhere else. This was garbage repackaged. It's unusable. Unless you're some kind of masochist and enjoy pain, then by all means have at it. The ear buds were badly scraped from the inside it was literally cutting my ear. Very painful just trying them on. Again, this is their definition of refurbished. Garbage repacked. Returned it the same day and bought the new version which was much cheaper.

Not Perfect But Perfect for My Needs
8 August 2021

To give some context it took years before I even gave truly wireless earbuds a chance. Back then their battery life wasn’t great, most of them were trying to look like AirPods, the sound wasn’t something I wanted to compromise on coming from WH-1000XM3 , and most of them were uncomfortable in my ears anyway. When I got a job as field tech at a cable company everything changed. All of a sudden a pair of wireless earbuds (didn’t need to be truly wireless, but these days they’re close in price to their tethered counterparts with a charging case advantage) that used multi-point ,had decent battery and good sound especially didn’t skimp on the bass sounded useful. I settled on Jabra Elite 75t. They suited my needs at the time, but when I switched to an office environment ... MoreTo give some context it took years before I even gave truly wireless earbuds a chance. They suited my needs at the time, but when I switched to an office environment I needed something that could last longer on a single charge and I no longer needed multi-point (for a work phone). There were other minor complaints, but battery was the big one that made me go looking for these. MKBHD mentioned the Galaxy Buds Plus while reviewing another headset, and I became curious. Upon learning they were on sale for the same price I’d bought my Jabras at I figured it was time to at least try them. The Samsung Galaxy Buds Plus exceeded my expectations. They are really comfortable without producing an uncomfortable seal where you feel sort of cut off sonically (I did switch the tips and rubber border to small), the sound on clear was passable for me on the low and high ends, from my experience they lasted 3 8 1/2 hour work days with the case on a single charge keeping them in my ears maybe 8 hours and 15 minutes of each shift. Also surprisingly I appreciate the wireless charging. And transparency mode on everything up until this point has not been what I wanted. I could never naturally have a conversation with them and that includes my WH-1000XM4. The transparency mode of the Galaxy Buds Plus are GOD tier. It’s the chef’s kiss. And then there are the independent earbuds. This is something most earbuds I’ve had NEVER did, and it’s an under-rated feature to have EITHER earbud in your ear by itself. It gives you flexibility you’d expect all truly wireless earbuds to inherently have, but that’s not the case. Speaking of cases I spent most of the time raving about the buds. I like them very much, but they’re not without fault. When I put my Jabras in the case they had a certain satisfying snap when the magnets found the pins as you laoed them in. The Buds Plus are so soft when you set them in. Those magnets could have been a little stronger. Also the bass in my Jabra wasn’t muddy or head rattling, but it was much better bass response OUT OF THE BOX even compared to the Buds plus after messing with equalizer. I just wish the bass in the Bud Plus was a little more pronounced even if only after messing with the equalizer. I don’t think the Buds Plus thump enough as is.

Samsung Galaxy Buds+ Are Gold
4 December 2021

When it comes to Samsung Galaxy Buds+ they're Gold to me, I have every Small Ears and with the right Rubber Tips, they fit Perfectly. The Sound Quality is Amazing, cause my Ears are Small, the Noise Cancelations is out of this World. I feel like I'm the only person in the World in the right place, with Low Volume. If your surroundings is louder, just turn them up some. I use mine mostly all day throughout the Week, to listen to Music and accept Calls. On the weekend, I only use them for Mobile Gaming, like when I play Call of Duty: Mobile. You hear which direction Footsteps or Gunfire is coming and able to prepare for upcoming Threats some. Ambient Sound is Amazing, especially when you need to hear your Surroundings. Ambient Sound is Amazing, especially when you need to hear your Surroundings. I'm mostly at work using one Bud, so I can take advantage of this feature, when I'm out walking. The Buds are just as great and I one to Believe that each version of the Galaxy Buds just approved upon the previous version. Granted the Pros do look like some Jelly Beans and like they may be uncomfortable for smaller Ears people like myself. Yet, I use my Galaxy Buds+ with my Galaxy Watch4 Classic LTE, my Galaxy Fold2, my Galaxy A32, Samsung Chrome Laptop and on my Samsung Tezin SmartTV. They work great when paired to other Samsung Products.Oh this is how Amazing they're to me, this is literally my 4th pair, cause I keep losing them. So I do recommend that you by a case for them. Like the Silicone Keychain Case or you keep them packed away. I'm always in another World and I'm moztly using one Bud to listen to my Music, cause having both in will completely out of this World into the World I'm listening too. So I have a few Half Sets and I lost a complete Pair, I don't recommend that you put them in your Pants Pockets, unless you are going to check and see if they're there every time you get up. Other than that, Trust me, they're Amazing and Golden if you have Small Ears.

terrible audio
23 November 2022

I don't know how this product got such high ratings. I bought them because of the ratings, but when my airpods died, i wanted a replacement based on reviews. The biggest issue i had was that the audio quality was terrible. I can hear the incoming fine, but the outgoing call sounds muffled or distant on the receiving end. I tried with many friends/family and switched to new phones and it's the same. The other issue i had was they keep falling out of my ears! I've changed the earbud rubber covers and they still fall out, especially if i talk. Super annoying.I spoke to Samsung several times, they couldn't figure it out. They supposedly gave me a new replacement, but the results were exactly the same. I'm very disappointed with these earbuds. Maybe they're not ... MoreI don't know how this product got such high ratings.
