My Galaxy Bud is already a bud. I make calls with him but also enjoy Netflix at night. The noise reduction is excellent as well. The sound itself is pretty good and can go high if you need it. The possibility of changing the button push feature is very user-friendly and intuitive using the app. The battery takes so long to dry that I charge it once every two or three weeks. The layout is good too, but sometimes it can go out of the ears if you move your head down very fast. On the other hand, it is way more beautiful if you compare the iPhone earbuds (and the white stickers coming out of the ears). Sometimes my cat likes to "play" with the box, and I need to find the earbuds again. I use the Find my Earbuds feature on the Galaxy Wearable app, which is very ... The only thing I would say is weird is the sound that it makes when you are putting it back in the cradle. It remembers a science fiction machine making noises. It took me a while to figure out that is a typical sound, not a broken one. To clean the eventual ear wax is also easy (yes, it will get dirty after some use... it is what it is). There are no rounded curves that you cannot access on the rubber.

Most importantly, these earbuds have one of the number one features I need from a pair of earbuds: the ability to rewind while only using one of the earbuds. I've literally only found two other pairs of earbuds with this feature, the first of which (SoundPEATS) kept falling out of my ear and eventually broke irreparably, and the other was a Skullcandy set that had so many issues I hated them and hated that I couldn't find another pair with the feature despite over a year of searching. Until these. Not only can these rewind with one earbud, you can rewind or fast forward with EITHER earbud, whether one or both are in use! Beyond that, these earbuds work, and work consistently. Literally my only complain is that I get mild ear fatigue, but, because I can use either ... Literally my only complain is that I get mild ear fatigue, but, because I can use either earbud for everything I need, even that's not a problem! After trying easily a half dozen, maybe a dozen by now, different earbuds, these are the only ones that do everything I need and don't have any issues that come along with them. Well, there's also that the Find my earbuds feature is pretty unhelpful when the earbuds aren't connected, but I've tried tile, and that was pretty terrible as well, so I didn't have high expectations for the location feature. Note for those wondering: only the right earbud can raise volume, and only the left earbud can lower volume. Either one can fast forward or rewind Overall, five out of five for the best earbuds I've ever used.

These earbuds overall sound great, are comfortable to wear, and get decent battery life. (About 10 hours runtime with about 2-1/2 charges from the clamshell case.) The touch sensitive pads are pretty useful overall for a hands-free experience, but are a bit too sensitive. They react too easily to accidental bumps and even hair brushing against them, and there's no way to adjust the sensitivity. (Supposedly these issues were resolved with the Galaxy Buds Pros and 2s.) As for other platforms, said software is notorious for not being supported/updated. (I.E. the official Windows app only supports the Galaxy Buds Pro, with a "Coming Soon" message for the Plus and first gen Buds that's been there for almost two years now.) I personally had to use third party open source software to configure and enable the features of these buds on my Windows PC. I'm not sure if this is an issue with my particular pair, issues with these buds in general, or even issues with the devices I was using them with, but I've experienced many intermittent drop-outs and issues pairing. Often times it requires taking the buds out of my ears, putting them into the clamshell, then re-removing them and attempting another pairing. Rinse and repeat a few times, and eventually they work reliably enough to use them. Several firmware updates later, and they're no less finicky.

The bad-- I love these earbuds but the case has been awful. The case won't charge to more than 2%, even when plugged in for 24 hours. I have to keep the case plugged in to charge my earbuds. Thankfully that's not a big issue for me as the earbuds have a really long battery life and I plug my devices in every night, anyway. Samsung online support offers no solution except to go to a Samsung store, which isn't available where I live. Also, the case opens and closes but doesn't snap shut. If you drop the case even on a soft surface, like a bed, the case opens and the buds go flying. Just a little click would be nice to keep the earbuds slightly secure. I paid $90 for these and the case was better on my $30 earbuds. The good--The earbuds are great. They stay in my ears ... MoreThe bad-- I love these earbuds but the case has been awful. I will pay more attention to the case next time I make a purchase. I think my case is a lemon, although I've seen a few other posts online about Samsung cases not charging. I will consider Samaung next time but only if the case looks more secure.
I was initially hyped about owning an "official" set of Samsung earbuds, and I can attest to the quality of the speakers (they're great) the quality of the earbuds app (REALLY great), the battery life (pretty solid) and fit (like a glove). These are high quality earbuds, no doubt. THAT SAID... I simply couldn't get past the inconvenience caused by the "touch" controls. What seems like a cool futuristic feature (all you have to do is *touch* your earbuds for it to register!) winds up becoming it's most annoying feature... because ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS TOUCH YOUR EARBUDS FOR IT TO REGISTER. Note- before I continue, let me be clear that you CAN turn off this feature easily through the app. That being said: The "high end" feature of having touch sensitivity instead of a ... Note- before I continue, let me be clear that you CAN turn off this feature easily through the app. That being said: The "high end" feature of having touch sensitivity instead of a button means ANYTHING you do that might have the skin of your hand brush up against the earbud is going to trigger the command. So you just accidentally skipped to the next youtube video, or paused your call, etc. What are otherwise excellent earbuds are hampered by the inconveniences caused by a needless "high end" feature. I've since switched to Jabra 75t's that were on sale. Same features, app support with extra perks (ambiance sounds, active noise cancellation), and the SIDE of each earbud has a small BUTTON. One that needs to be deliberately pressed to activate and can be easily avoided by gripping the earbuds by the sides (to adjust or what have you). So nice to not constantly have to find my spot in a video or un-pause a song because I just adjusted my ski cap or wanted to just adjust it's position a tiny bit.
Having owned Samsung's AKG wired earbuds that came with my S7Edge, their sound quality is/was great, and the wired buds never came out, unless purposefully or accidentally pulled out, of course. Cons; 1.) With these Samsung Galaxy Buds the sound quality is not as good as the old, wired earbuds, which is disappointing to find out. Even changing the earbud tips the sound was still poor, cleaning the speaker outputs still provides no change. 2.) No matter the earbud tip, the earbuds pop out or slide out, which got so annoying that I decided to get sewing thread and tied both together, so I won't lose them when one or both pop out and of my ear(s). 3.) The Samsung Gear app does nothing to improve the sound quality, the settings in the Gear app is very upsetting. 4.) ... The battery life is amazing, without the use of the charging case, I would experience 9 to 11 hours of music, and or videos, which would last me the whole night, which is also the times that I am awake and out. 2.) Depending on any thick obstructions, such as many layers of walls, my range with the buds would be within 35-40 feet (10-12 meters), away from my phone, 40 feet (12 meters) and above is where it gets spotty or cuts out. In summary, I am glad I got mine half off, but I am still and always will be upset that Samsung's Galaxy Buds is not as good as their old, wired earbuds that came with the Galaxy phones of the past, at least that came with my S7 Edge. My cheap wireless earbuds that I had before these are better in sound quality and "noise cancelling." Please, reader, do yourself a favor and buy something else, don't believe any reviewer that claims the Buds is "the best earbuds" like I did.
My Review on the Galaxy Buds array of In-Ear Headphones... Galaxy Buds+ Pros: EVERYTHING ... these were my first In-ears buds and I have never looked back ... well let me rephrase ... From the sound quality to the comfort and fit these are the best of the best. I say that as I have purchase all of the buds Samsung has produced and the new generations do not even compare. Also as a UNC fan, I love the Carolina Blue Color! Cons: I don't even know if this is a con more than it is just an inconvenience sometimes, even if it's that ... but when you have these things in and even if nothing is playing ... you can't hear a thing LOL!!!! For me it's too the point it freaks me out that it's so quiet ... and it's not even noise reduction hahaha! Galaxy Buds Live Of course I ... For me it's too the point it freaks me out that it's so quiet ... and it's not even noise reduction hahaha! Galaxy Buds Live Of course I had to buy the second gen as I try to keep up with the latest tech ... and again I loved the sleek futuristic design as well as the shiny bronzish like color ... I worried that the fit and the sound quality may be leaked/lost because of the fit, but once I had received them and started using them ... I was sold. However, I do find that when I am looking to accessorize my attire, these are my go to. Also, I for some reason prefer then when making calls. I never use these to work out as although the fit is nice and snug, I prefer the Buds+. I had to use Buds Pro when I lost one of my Bud+, which you'll see in the next section I am not a big fan of. At the end of the day I don't have anything Cons for these similar to the the Bud+ (remember, the CON i listed above I am not really sure, should be considered a CON, it's so good it's bad, because it makes me think I'm deaf LOL, but then all i have to do it take it out) Galaxy Buds Pro HATED IT! I was excited about these when they were coming out ... Samsung Marketing was phenomenal ... I was like wow ... I've been so happy with the previous Gens and these are supposed be even better ... couldn't wait ... until I realized I could have. Simply put ... sound etc. all of that is great ... but I just don't I am a fan of the style ... unlike the first two gens, these just seem bulkier than I would like or had gotten used too ... The only reasons I wear these now is to workout in as I mentioned before I lost a Galaxy Bud+ which i prefer when I'm working out because of comfort and fit. Galaxy Buds 2 Well I have had these for about a month ... and the jury is still out ... I had hoped these would be a good replacement for my Bud+, but I am finding they are falling a bit short. For one, I do like the sleek feel, I do like the fit ... but again, the fit I need for working out is lacking ... these have actually fallen out several times while working out doing cardio ... also I am not sure these are producing the same quality of audio as the previous Gens ... I find myself always trying to turn the volume up and it's maxed out. So that's an issue. In conclusion, for me, the Buds have declined in terms of how positive my experiences are with them ... As you can see by the reviews the Buds+ are #1 in terms of wearing while working out, Sound Quality, and "noise-cancelling" LOL ... While I enjoy the Buds Live most for style, accessorizing, and using for phone calls ... Buds Pro - Too Bad I can't return these now Buds 2 - At least I have spares ...
To start things off, I am a Machinist. I constantly work with different types of steels and other metals, and this means I'm constantly surrounded by some sort of metal dust due to the machining/Deburring Process. This causes metal shavingings and dust to accumulate wherever there is a magnet in the case on on the earbuds. Overtime this wore scratches into both the earbuds and heavily damage the gloss finish of the case. Keep in mind I quite litteraly used these on average 8+ hours a day for a year. So I've gone through at least a few other competitors when it comes to earbuds, and so far, these lasted the longest for me. After just over a year, a crack developed on the casing on the left ear bud. They still worked perfectly fine but this caused irritation in my ear ... MoreTo start things off, I am a Machinist. So I've gone through at least a few other competitors when it comes to earbuds, and so far, these lasted the longest for me. After just over a year, a crack developed on the casing on the left ear bud. They still worked perfectly fine but this caused irritation in my ear before I noticed it was cracked. After inspecting the other earbud there was a crack in it too, and it split apart as soon as I slightly pried on it. Now for the rest, I quite litteraly didn't ever have these go dead on me, as I used them 8 hours at a time and the rated was 11 hours, I never had them go dead on me. Connection in a Machine shop is surprisingly good, I was able to walk from one side of the shop where my phone would be, and go to the complete other side of the shop (around 100 yards give or take) I was still able to get a stable connection as long as I didn't go into another room. This definitely will vary from person to person. The sound quality of these are honestly amazing. The dual drivers deliver great bass and mids, without making the highs sound muddy as long as you are on the "Dynamic" setting. The touch controls work well, but do get slightly annoying when your hands are covered in coolant and want to stop your music, it'll either not register at all or register multiple presses possibly skipping the song, but other than that the customizable hold press is nice. They are the most comfortable earbuds I've ever used, and I have quite large ears. Sweat does sometimes make them fall out or loose, but a quick wipe with a towel fixes that usually. The case honestly sucks, It works great functionally, never had any charging problems as long as I cleaned the metal dust out regularly, but the really bad gloss finish was ruined quite quickly. Other than that these earbuds are honestly the best for me and what I do for work. Especially when they are on sale, So if you won't use these as heavily as me, These will last you for a very long time. (This review was made after buying a second pair)
I have always liked Samsung products and the Samsung brand. I had a Samsung phone and I was looking at buying Samsung appliances - washer/dryer, stove, fridge, etc, and I was even looking at a Samsung laptop. So naturally I got the Samsung earbuds. They do not fit comfortably in my ears. I have changed the sizes they come with in the package and they still constantly want to come out of my ear. I have to keep pushing them in, which I do not think is good for my eardrums. Also, everytime I touch them to push them in it either stops playing my music or activates Google Assistant. I downloaded the Samsung Wearable app and disabled the touch on the earbuds but that didn't do anything, it still either stops my music or activates Google Assistant everytime I touch them to ... MoreI have always liked Samsung products and the Samsung brand. I downloaded the Samsung Wearable app and disabled the touch on the earbuds but that didn't do anything, it still either stops my music or activates Google Assistant everytime I touch them to push them back in my ear. This becomes very annoying and has me constantly tapping the earbuds to get the music back on, but sometimes the music comes back on and Google Assistant is talking while the music is playing. I bought them to use outside, however when I use them outside I get lots of static noise. I don't know if it's the wind or what it is, but if I am running or at the park, I get lots of static and it will distort the sound of my music, it sounds similar to getting bad reception or a bad connection. It happens everytime I use them outside. It gets so annoying that I have been tempted to throw them on the ground and step on them because they are so frustrating. I should also mention that I have tried them with two different Android phones. Also, there is no way to shut them off. I turn off the bluetooth on my phone, so you would think that would turn off the earbuds. However, I fully charge the earbuds, then I use them for about 15 min before I get so frustrated with them that I will put them away and I always disable my bluetooth when I put them away. If I go to use them the next day, you would expect that they would be fully charged less 15 minutes, right? Nope, they drained just sitting there unused. Even more ridiculous is that when I check the Samsung Wearables app to check the battery on them the right side earbud is much more drained than the left side earbud, today it was 71% left side and 18% right side. How does this make any sense? It's almost as though Samsung put no effort or quality or programming into this product. I bought no-name bluetooth earphones on Amazon before buying these and they are way better. They had an on/off button on the earphone that I could turn off when they weren't being used and when I would use them again they hadn't lost any charge. I bought the Samsung earbuds after doing tons of research of which earbuds has the most playback time because I wanted to use them when I travel and I am on day excursions, I wanted something that would last for many hours. However the Samsung ones won't because even whey they are not being used they are constantly draining. Also, you have to carry around the charger all the time, because sometimes they won't connect to your device unless they are in the charger. This is another feature that doesn't make sense to me. My cheap bluetooth earphones did not have to be in the charger to connect to my device. I don't even know why that would be a thing, it makes no sense. Why would I carry around the charger if I am out and about and will be intermittently using my earbuds. This is the worst product I have ever used, Samsung should be ashamed to produce these pieces of junk. I do not use any Apple products, but my partner has Airpods and they are way better - way more comfortable, they do not fall out of your ear, they do not press against your eardrums, you don't have to keep adjusting them or tapping them back in your ear, and most importantly they work outdoors. Based on the fact that Samsung can put out such a poor quality product my opinion of Samsung has changed and I will be buying LG appliances instead. My recommendation: do not get these, they are terrible
I don't know how this product got such high ratings. I bought them because of the ratings, but when my airpods died, i wanted a replacement based on reviews. The biggest issue i had was that the audio quality was terrible. I can hear the incoming fine, but the outgoing call sounds muffled or distant on the receiving end. I tried with many friends/family and switched to new phones and it's the same. The other issue i had was they keep falling out of my ears! I've changed the earbud rubber covers and they still fall out, especially if i talk. Super annoying. I spoke to Samsung several times, they couldn't figure it out. They supposedly gave me a new replacement, but the results were exactly the same. I'm very disappointed with these earbuds. Maybe they're not designed ...
