I used this clay to make a set of drink coasters. The sculpey III clay is much softer and workable than the premo counterpart. Once it's baked it retains a solid shape and can withstand being sanded, polished, or painted. This is a fun and easy material to work with!

This product works well whether you placing it in a mold or running through a pasta maker to get a uniform thinkness. Different colors can be pressed together before running it through the pasta maker. It looks fantastic and is easy to cut out designs. The 'firing' process is easy. I actually use a toaster oven in my art studio.

I use this product to make Christmas ornaments. I have been using Sculpey III for over 30 years and do not use anything else. Not too hard, not too soft, NOT crumbly. Love it! #Sweepstakes

I purchased a variety of colors for my first ever Sculpey projects. The colors were accurate and bright. Baking was easy and I've had no issues with my creations! I even purchased additional colors at my local Blick store since I was making so many things.#sweepstakes
I wasn't sure where to start, I just knew I wanted to start using clay for my gingerbread houses. I did watch a tutorial before buying. I love Sculpey 3. It is soft and workable. I bake it in the oven at the recommended temp on the package and never have burned it. The red and the black do get on my hands. I might buy a harder clay in those colors. I have run across crumbling a few times...I returned it. I do not want to mess with clay softeners. Online it has always been fresh and soft. I have been using it now for 6 months. I put faux sugar on all of mine so I do not need great detail, this works great for me. Love it!
I've never used clay before, but I wanted to try some painted pins. I've only used the white clay, but it was really easy to work with and has a lot of good resources online for tips on how to bake it and work with it. I highly recommend Creative Rachy on YouTube and her 20 tips and tricks videos. I do very much recommend getting little tools if you're doing any real sculpting, but if you're just cutting out flat shapes to bake and paint with acrylics, then just an X-ACTO knife and some sort of rolling pin is all you really need.
I've bought Sculpey elsewhere and and when it came it was past its sell-by date, dried out and impossible to use. Blick's is always fresh. Came fast, too!
I love using sculpy clay ! I use it in many of my crafting and home decor projects. For example it great for making table top fountains, making small figurines for my fairy gardens and for making jewelry. It truly helps with imagination and creativity. And at times can be very therapeutic. Its safe for children and it is really fun when used in kids projects. I strongly recommend sculpy.
This is one of the cheapest, most affordable clays and holds up well. I have made many charms and sculptures from this and use it often along with other tools I got from Michaels which are even cheaper with the coupons they always have. The only problem is that the baked product breaks easier than other kinds of clay, but that isn't a problem as long as you don't make parts that stick out too thin. Otherwise this is a fantastic product that Michaels offers at an extraordinary price, I definitely recommend it.
I bought these sets for my students grades 2-5. The kids loved the colors and the value is good. Once the product is worked is starts to get soft from warm hands. I would prefer a product that stays more stiff. We made mille fiori canes and shaped each slice into hearts. The colors bled into the white a little. It bakes easily. Overall this is a good product so I am definitely using it again. And I will buy more sets for future projects because the color selection is nice.
