I didn't take these as eat large amounts of meat and dairy based foods so very unlikely to be deficient. However, my friend is on a vegan based diet so was more than happy to review them. They found them to be easy to swallow and was happy with the Solgar name, as this is a widely known and respected brand in the supplement market. However, with all supplement reviews is very difficult to correlate taking the product with positive benefits to health. No negative affects were reported. No problems with flavour or taste either.

Trying to find a way in through the thick plastic which has been vacuum sealed so tightly is Mission Impossible. Unlike some products which have this sort of plastic wrapping there is no visible way to break the seal; usually there will be a serrated part which can be pulled, to break it, but not in this case. I had to take a pair of scissors to the space around the neck of the bottle, but even then it was something of a struggle because the plastic was so tough. Finally I broke through and removed the screw top. This means taking a number of these Solgar tablets. I need quite a large dose, so such low levels of B12 are not cost-effective for my needs. Its a great form of B12, but just not cost-effective. If you do not need such a large dose, then this product will suit your needs. Most at risk of a B12 deficiency are those on a poor diet or who have IBS, Crohn's disease or other gut-related issues and people who are on Proton Pump Inhibitors. B12 deficiency is a very common, undiagnosed problem and if you are fatigued, try taking a supplement, as your issue could be linked to a B12 deficiency. I am happy to recommend this product for its quality, I just find it hard to recommend it for its value.

Taking B12 regularly has reduced these by at least 80% in my case. Even my GP was surprised at this but if it works then carry on. These tablets are in capsule form and easy to swallow. Overall, well worth trying especially if you're a vegetarian or vegan.
