My husband and I have many Sono’s products. We have 4 play 5’s, soundbar, base and amplifier in black. They are totally worth the money. They can independently be controled in different locations or played combined as a full system. All from the Sonos app.

The item arrived well packaged and was in excellent condition. Had to download the old S1 Sonos app and then connect it to my Wi-Fi, which was very easy and straightforward. Also connected my turntable via line in which is automatically detected in the Sonos app, this also worked great. OK the sound probably isn’t as good as a new Play 5 speaker bit for £90 yiu can’t really beat it. All in all very pleased with the purchase

Not as easy to set up as bluetooth speakers, you need to download the Sonos app then connect the speaker to your router via ethernet first to connect to your internet then set it to play via wifi. Good sound but not worth original rrp. Free Spotify account plays without ads when accessed through the Sonos app which was a nice little surprise!

Unfortunately upon arrival the Sonos 5 had a big dent in the middle of the speaker grille. I was able to remove the grill however, and flatten out the dent from the other side.Electronically the Sonos is perfect. Sounds great and for this price it's a great deal compared to the new version. You do have to use the older S1 Sonos App with this speaker.
Bought this a few weeks ago to stereo pair with one I’ve had for about 9 years. Condition was better than I expected, not a mark on it and it was in an origin nak box with all the sealed packaging. it worked perfectly and I’m very satisfied with my purchase.
The Sonos Play 5 sounds excellent. I already have Sonos speakers all over the house, but only 1 Play 5, so I wanted a pair. Set up is easy with the ap, either on IOS or Android, you can even set it up on your pc. The Play 5 is old now, but the newer version has touch sensitive controls, where as the model here has actual buttons. Playing the radio, or your own music through this speaker, you will not be disappointed, and with the line in socket on the back, you can even stream a device of your choosing through it, even your pc. I'm visually impaired, so I'm happy that every part of the set up and use is totally accessible. If you come across one at the right price, grab it, you won't regret it.

This is the second one I’ve purchased from CEX as I was that impressed with the first. The sound is incredible as a single unit but hooked up as a stereo pair they sound amazing. Like music or films or day time TV you can either combine them by group to listen to the TV group on another speaker like the kitchen so if your in the kitchen doing jobs and don't want to stop listening then group with a simple click on your app and the TV sound will play from the living room and the other speaker also you can control the volume via the app or the speaker to play or pause oon the device speaker or speakers to what room your in you can control the sound level for each speaker room in that group ( you can make a group as easily de bound the group in a click ) this system is very good and the sound is amazing quality for the price you think wow that's expensive but when you hear them you will understand why there so expensive you can build up you speakers by adding on to your existing system up to 32 speakers or 32 rooms then again who has 32 rooms not manyI have always had Bose up until now that I have a Sonos system there is no way I am going back to Bose simply it just plugs in and works no messing aboutI think for the future Sonos should design a portable battery version for portability and for garden use people ask were is the remote ? Ok it a smallish unit compared to my current setup that rarely gets used mainly because I don’t buy CD’s anymore and I predominantly listen to streaming services on my phone either through a Bluetooth speaker or headphones. Any way I ended up buying a play 5 gen1 and was well impressed with the S1 app and the unit. The sound is incredible for such a small unit, easily filling the room. Deep bass for its size with clear mids and highs. It copes with most music genres easily. I’ll listen to anything from acoustic and vocal to club n dance. It’s important that you use the Truplay tuning function in the app to get the best out of the speaker.
