For a Sony product, I am extremely disappointed in how cheaply made this headset is. Though they do seem to work just fine in spite of the manufacturing. My complaint is that the charging wire was missing from the box. Before these items are sent out to customers they should be inspected to be sure all items are in the box they are paying for. So clearly these weren't. I have a charging wire that might work so I'll see in the next few days if it will do the job before I send them back. Outside of being wireless I could have just bought a cheap wired set for less than half of what I paid for these and they would have been made better. And one more thing, I have to reconnect them to my computer every time I turn them off, or if not in use. I got these for watching movies on our smart TV. I was having a hard time hearing the dialogue and was constantly turning the volume up and down throughout the movie. Problem is now solved! I'm quite happy with the sound quality. Dialogue is clear and background sound and music is distinct but not overpowering and no heavy bass - just what I was hoping for. I can now watch a whole movie and hear every word w/o having to adjust the volume even once. The headphones are comfortable, easy to pair w TV, they turn off and on easily with one touch. Thank you Sony for a great product!

Sony is a well-respected name in electronics which is the first reason I looked at this headphone set. When I opened the box, the directions are all in drawings. Text would be good to accompany the drawings. Because the drawings cannot do a good job explaining something, text is really needed. I found the headphones charged up fully overnight. The Bluetooth link was easy to establish, probably because I’ve linked them to an iPad which is very intuitive doing this. The sound is rich and full for such a small pair of headphones. There is not going to be any concert hall quality but I like what it is putting out for sound.

If I was working with a young musician or aspiring audio engineer, not so much. Again, there's very obvious loss in the mid range which effectively obscures the depth of tone regardless of source. It's not something the average listener will likely notice much, let alone be annoyed with when listening to most popular music.The biggest cons for me with this set is the loss in the mid and that the plastic design and flipping ear cups make me worry these will break easier as others with this design have met their sad fate. Finally, there's no passive use option from the lack of a 3.5mm jack and the USB-C plug only works to charge. If the few cons don't outweigh their affordability, these seem like a solid investment. Long battery life and a strong connection even on the other side of my considerable apartment makes me feel these are definitely worth the extra care that looks like it will be necessary for the plastic only design.
Amazing battery life. Purchased these a couple months ago and have used them many times, and for long periods of time. I haven’t had to charge them a single time. Battery life still at 50%. Best battery life I’ve ever come across with any electronic device. Sound quality is also great. Only reason not 5 stars is because after a little bit, they become uncomfortable to wear and it starts to hurt my ears. Nothing that would cause me not to buy them again, but a little more padding around the ears would be nice. Overall great purchase.

If you are looking for $50 headphones that sound good for the price, look no further. These Sony 510"s are a simple connect and play. Theirs no Sony Headphone App for these, but they sound good and clear. At first the sound is a bit flat but after some time they open up. Bass and some highs is the sound signature. Don't expect thumping bass and HI Res sound. Remember $50 is the purchasing price. What you get is a good build quality, no Noise Canceling, and decent comfort ear pads.Overall I recommend these Sony headphones they sound good and will get the job done.

Due to extreme ear pain when I fly I use airplane ears so Ive got to have overear headphones that dont press down on the plugs while they are in. These are AMAZING for the price Im honestly shocked at how well they work compared to my Bose, I was talking too low for anyone to hear me on the plane because I didnt want to shout..I could hear everyone talking to me with no background noise at all, upon taking them off its a shock to the system when you hear how loud the planes engines and airflow really are There would probably be a difference in an office type setting with all the different frequencies the noise cancellation cant take care of at once, but for things like air travel Id say these are the BEST DEAL ON THE MARKET I tried them out after they arrived and found that they cut out the background fuzz of traffic and everyday sounds but I could hear voices perfectly which is a plus, then on our flight I switched the bluetooth off and on again every few hours to hear the difference...it was staggering I even made my boyfriend try them on and switched it on and off again, he was so impressed that Ive no purchased a set for him as well. Tip Be sure that they are snug on your head and ears if your travelling, it makes a difference in the amount of noise that is cancelled. If there is a gap or the earpads arent in full contact with your head youll hear a lot more. What I LOVE They are extremly comfortable and I was rather suprised that they dont get hot. The noise cancellation is AMAZING for this price point and comparable to my Bose The battery life is out of this world. I flew for 24 hours with them in constant use and only had to recharge once we arrived The ability to flip the ear cups inwards makes them perfect for travel and sliding in and out of the case. They are estetically pleasing and dont stand out against black travel wardrobes. The chrome is well done and feels solid, I think they will last for a few years without any issues The only small negatives The size makes it difficult for someone with a smaller frame to comfortably wear them down around your neck, but this is to be expected with large over ear headphones and isnt something that would prevent me from recommending them It can be difficult to find the offbluetoothnoise cancelling switch on the very bottom of the Right ear cup. My hand always ends up along the bottom of the outter area below the silver switch but Ive learned to adjust and move my hand down to find the switch so it just takes some practice. The ear cup pads did stain with a bit of makeup during our travels but most of it came off when cleaned so its no big deal. I noticed a slight amount of pressure when wearing them. This is only when using the noise cancellation but its not enough to be uncomfortable and isnt something I felt until many hours in. I did suffer from virtigo the entire week we were in Prague, and for a few days once home but there is no way for me to tell if this is from the noise cancellation or simply time difference fatigue.
