The backboard of my son's basketball hoop was broken over time and I had to replace it. It took me a couple hours to disassemble the old hoop because most bolts have been so rusty. It took me only 30 minutes to attach the new one. It looks like a brand new now with a new backboard set and my son is enjoying his backyard basketball exercise every day. Happy ending!

I was looking at other nonplastic backboards on other sites and they were around 1000$!! Crazy! I found this one and it is nice!! Very durable and easy to put up. I wasn't crazy at first about the red, but my husband said that it's great when you play at night. You can see it unlike the other one we had that was dark blue/black. Shipping was fast too! I ordered very close to christmas and I got it on Christmas Eve. Very impressed.
did not come with bumper pads for bottom and side of backboard and also didn't come with orange metal casing which screws on to bottom of rim. Can I please get that shipped to me?
I would never buy another product from Spalding. I was playing basketball in my yard and the basketball struck the backboard, which was advertised as “shatterproof”, and this large piece went flying. I contacted their customer service and they refused to assist. Look elsewhere unless you want a backboard that could break when a basketball bounces off of it!
Me and my family love the backboard and rim combo that we got from Spaulding! It was the perfect upgrade and facelift that our old inground basketball system needed.The only issue that we had was with the instructions, because we also replaced the pole mounting mechanism, which was not Spalding brand, and had its own instructions.It took a while to figure out which instructions steps to follow and which ones to skip, in regards to the backboard and the mount, but I eventually figured it out and now it works perfectly, and can be set to any height!
Use it for children’s church fun and fun games. The backboard is a little thin but worth the money
Package in terrible condition on arrival, looks like some one else bought it and sent it back and did a horrible job of closing up the box. Large border piece for the backboard missing. Directions are very hard to follow and pictures so small it is hard to see exactly what goes where. Often difficult to get screws and bolts through holes where they are supposed to go and the directions tell you to use a drill to make holes larger if necessary, kind of crazy. It took me all afternoon to put it together and it takes at least 3 strong people to put it up, it is very heavy with the conversion kit added.
Very pleased with this hoop. I had it mounted on my garage and my son loves it. i purchased the base bracket separately from a local Dick's sporting goods. The delivery took 3 days only. I had it set 10 feet Regulation off the ground. The backboard Is very forgiving. Shots gently roll in. We're very happy!
