The grinder is easy to use, put the group head in tap (more like hold down) and off it grinds. The machine isn't too loud either. I love the little water meter below the drip tray that floats up when the tray is full and needs emptying. That is incredibly handy. The trickiest part is getting the steam wand in the right spot so that it's not screaming as you froth/heat the milk. Once you've got that under control, the whole thing is easy as.We were able to redeem the Sunbeam accessories when we got this on sale, and those have been great. I do think that the rubber mat should come as standard with all machines to stop the group head from resting directly on the benchtop. The metal tamper is the best.I would recommend this machine to anyone.

I had the old Top end Sunbeam machine and Grinder combo for 10+ years. As an engineer am very impressed with the design work that has gone into this. The grinder appears to have a proper conical burr similar or same as the old stand alone grinder.Grinder is very adjustable in a clear way, has a flexing rubber thing underneath with an eccentric drive that seems to ensure ensures the ground coffee exits smoothly and has a light so you can see what is going on ! The smarts are in the software and one just has to wait a bit as the boiler warms to correct temp before you pour and then wait a bit again before the steamer starts. Blurb hints at smarts to pre-heat the water to compensate for losses as it gets into the pouring block if you have just turned it on? etc.. Makes good coffee but the grinder is terribly messy. I mistook this for a Breville that two friends have and I feel let down. The Breville automatically grinds the beans once that function is triggeeed whereas my Sunbeam needs to be held on. Sometimes, holding down the bucket, it will jump from the cradle and this also spills grounds everywhere. Buyers remorse - I wish Id bought a Breville like my friends both have.

The one thing I don't like about this product is the grinding as the coffee grounds spread all over the place. I have to put a plate under the grinder so it doesn't make a mess everywhere. It needs a different action for the grinding, i am thinking of getting a different grinder altogether. Other than that there is nothing wrong with the machine. I won't say yes or no as to whether I would recommend this machine to a friend
The machine is easy to use and great for the price. Makes a good barista style coffee almost as good as any cafe here in Melbourne. I'm using it 3 times a day and no issues as yet (had it 4 weeks). Easy to clean, big water tank.My only issue is the grinder to handle. It says 'one touch' on amasdive technicality that's true, but you have to hold the handle down for the duration of filling it with grinds, which often flick out and make a coffee grind mess - annoying...it needs a one press allocation of grinds as found in higher priced machines. Milk frother is correct length to milk container. Grinder size options are good and ability to select based on beans is excellent. I'd buy it again...
I love the inbuilt grinder with this machine, saves space in the kitchen without the need for extra gadgets. Took a little to get used to which setting it needed for different coffee beans but once sorted I can now make the best coffee and take it out with me. No more need for drive through coffee that can be a hit and miss! They're either luke warm, watery or burnt. This machine saves time, money and I can expect the same great tasting coffee every time. Very happy with purchase.
Bought it to replace a nespresso pod machine, and haven't looked back. It take a little while to configure it (grind setting, etc), but worth following the instructions to get it right. Set mine at grind setting 14. Clean up is quite easy, and just needs a wipe down after each coffee. I've managed to make a coffee from start to finish one handed (baby on hip), except for locking the group handle in place. That requires a bit of force, which you would expect to ensure a snug fit. I didn't lock it fully one time, and coffee went everywhere. I now make sure I lock it fully before making the coffee.Last thing to note is that the order you do things is important to making the best coffee. I've had this machine for over 6 months and use it at least daily. It's complex enough to ensure that I can make my coffee how I want it, eg: grind to the texture I want, tamp how I like and also texturise the milk to my liking but the built in features make it easy enough for my children to also use it (older teenagers). It heats up quickly and is so simple to clean for rushed mornings. If anything goes wrong, water pressure not great etc, I simply run a coffee without beans and it clears any blockage or air bubbles...simple fix, however there's a heap of helpful information on the youtube channel should you need it and even links to help with latte art, which the kids have loved. An overall great, professional coffee machine at a fraction of the price you pay for ... MoreI've had this machine for over 6 months and use it at least daily. An overall great, professional coffee machine at a fraction of the price you pay for other brands. Bought mine at Betta for around $450 - absolute bargain!
I really liked the results. The coffee it makes is very nice! The integrated grinder is quite convenient. A few things I noticed after 4 weeks of use. The ground coffee powders are tend to piling up into the gaps of the grinder part. It affects grinding results so you need to clean it every few weeks. The pump noise got slightly louder than it was. (The descaling process didn't fix it) Also that causes vibration on the tray, the cups will moving away from the brewing point if you don't hold it. I put a rubber band under the cup to prevent it but that's annoying. I tried flossing milk few times, it's too hard for me so I can't comment for that. I will recommend this machine if your budget is tight. I'm still happy with what I paid for.
You do not need to be a master of coffee to enjoy a good coffee from this machine. The milk froths nicely and the coffee is consistently good. I have not mastered latte art yet but all in due time. Also very happy with the built-in grinder. The only area of improvement for this machine is the turning knob to control the steam and hot water. It is very tight and hard to switch between modes. Sometimes it can be a struggle to switch off the steam wand with this knob as the milk is almost overflowing. However, this should not discourage anyone from buying this otherwise excellent coffee machine.
