I have chronic pain from an old motor vehicle accident, and this thing has really helped me out during quarantine. The design makes it reasonably easy to reach most of your body and the included percussive heads do a good job of reaching most places. While the default speeds originally seemed aggressive, I find that I mostly use the high speed at this point. The included case is a great way to keep everything together and protected.A few things that are bad though:1. The battery gauge is absolute trash. It doesn't show anything until you turn it on and then it is wildly inaccurate. The device will die at some point when it gets to 3 "Battery bars" but have fun guessing at which point, lol.2. Poor quality control on the Wedge tip. Luckily the rest are good, but ... MoreI have chronic pain from an old motor vehicle accident, and this thing has really helped me out during quarantine. It would be helpful if the handle were a few inches longer, had a clip on extender or if there were some sort of included stand to mount this on the ground - For this price it would be reasonable to include. All in all, this has been a very useful product that I hope to use for years, but it is held back by some design flaws which should be addressed given the high price.

Do you spend countless hour(s) lifting weights and foam roll? Maybe your legs are sore after a nice long run. You know what? Maybe you just have some crazy built up knots from all that daily stress of life or work. Let me introduce you to the G3Pro by Theragun.Theragun created the percussive massage gun so that it can target all those places you want to feel better or recover. Theragun includes six attachments with your G3Pro to specifically hit certain areas/muscles of your body. Along with the six interchangeable attachments, you are also equipped with an adjustable arm so that you can reach those harder to reach areas. Let's say you want a bit more “oomph” in your therapeutic session, the G3Pro has you covered because Theragun has equipped it with 2 different speeds to satisfy your needs and desires. Theragun also includes an extremely nice premium travel case. I found that the case is AMAZING because I can literally take it with all the accessories anywhere and everywhere that I want to and everything stores perfectly (plus it looks and feels premium). Worried about battery life? I wouldn’t because the G3Pro by Theragun includes 2 batteries and 1 is going to last you approximately 75 minutes; thats a total runtime of 150 minutes. The smart thing to do is while you’re using one, you have the other charging/charged; just keep hot swapping if you need it longer than 150 minutes.During my usage and experience of the G3Pro by Theragun, I must say that I am honestly quite impressed. Not only is it super simple to use, it’s really therapeutic as well. I hit the iron facility 6 days a week (Monday ~ Saturday) with 1 day of rest (Sunday). So to be completely honest, my body is quite hammered by the end of the week; until the Theragun G3Pro came into my life. After a couple sessions of the G3Pro, I can feel that I have better range of motion, muscles aren’t as fatigued, helps with making any cramps I have (specifically calves) feel much more relaxed, and the icing on the cake… helps break up any knots/stiffness I come across. For someone that doesn’t hit the gym and does a lot of cardio like marathons instead, the G3Pro is also effective for recovery and soreness. If you are wondering “I don’t go to the gym or do any cardio”, doesn't matter; the G3Pro can benefit you with just relieving you from your daily stress. My spouse doesn’t prefer to exercise but uses the G3Pro on the regular for her shoulders and she has fallen in love with the G3Pro. If you’re a total newbie and don’t know where to begin, I would definitely recommend the Theragun app. The Theragun app provides you insight and helpful information to guide you through the usage of the G3Pro.My only gripe that I have with the G3Pro is that it’s a bit loud… The G3Pro by Theragun is their third version of a percussive massage gun. I personally don’t own the previous models but looking at some videos of the past models will shed some light on what I am about to state. The G3Pro is DEFINITELY a lot quieter than the previous model. The previous model sounded like construction going on right at where you used it. I compared it to my friends Hypervolt by Hyperice and unfortunately the G3Pro is still relatively louder than the Hypervolt. So when we’re in the office and I want to break out my G3Pro for a quick session, it’s kinda hard to do that because of the noise. But if my friend breaks out his Hypervolt in the office (as he has been for a while now); no one really says anything about the noise. When I use it at home, I have to be cautious of what time I use it because I have 2 kids and if they’re sleeping; I can’t whip out the G3Pro unfortunately. This is also an issue if you live in an apartment environment as your neighbors may be bothered by the noise. One thing I noticed during usage though is that I really like the way the G3Pro feels on contact as opposed to the Hypervolt by Hyperice. I guess it ultimately depends on personal preference but in my opinion, I feel like the G3Pro works much better and has a more “percussive” element to it as opposed to the Hypervolt by Hyperice.Overall I am thoroughly impressed and more than satisfied with the G3Pro. I wouldn’t consider myself a bodybuilder but I’m definitely an active individual. I mean hey, how many people actually wake up at 3am every day to hit the gym? Why not reward myself and relax myself with the G3Pro by Theragun. The G3Pro has helped me with my recovery and is definitely cheaper (in the long run) than going to a massage therapist at least once a week. Whenever I am at home and I need a quick fix of relaxation or if I am specifically sore in one area; I’ll just whip out the G3Pro by Theragun and get a quick session in. As mentioned above, my only gripe is that it's still a bit loud in my opinion. Theragun has taken some necessary steps to make the G3Pro quieter than the previous model and I’m sure the next version will have an improvement as well. As long as you’re not intending to use it in a quiet environment all the time, you should be perfectly fine. Knowing that Theragun cares and did what is possible to lower the noise from the previous model shows that Theragun cares about their product (or in a combination of listening to their buyers). So the next time you hit the gym, go on that run or simply just need a therapeutic relaxation session; consider looking into the G3Pro by Theragun for your recovery instead of the traditional foam rolling or massage therapist. I would definitely and highly recommend the Theragun G3Pro to friends, family, and gym pals without hesitation.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------*****Quick Features & Specs*****---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Theragun's proprietary treatment technology: Combines a 16mm stroke length and speed of 40 percussions per second to create a fast, more effective deep percussive tissue massage. Two speed settings: Choose optimal power for efficient massaging.Six interchangeable head attachments: Help fit target muscles.Adjustable arm: Allows you to conveniently adjust the arm angle to comfortably extend reach while holding the device.Japanese industrial-grade motor: Ensures unmatched muscle treatment depth and speed. Two swappable rechargeable lithium-ion batteries: Provide up to 75 minutes of use per charge for each. It has a sleek frame made of durable plastic, and the ergonomic handle is surrounded by a material that makes it easier to grip. The straightforward design makes the G3PRO easy to pick up and start using right out of the box. There are just a few buttons, one for power, one for switching speeds and one for the adjustable arm. Inserting and removing the battery is a simple sliding motion. With how excited I was to try out the G3PRO, I started using it even without the owner’s manual, so I would say the design certainly facilitates ease of use. A travel case with a dedicated compartment for the G3PRO and slots for the two batteries and the “World Travel Charger” is included, along with a pouch to hold the attachments, which are very nice additions to an already great product. Overall, the attention to detail and craftsmanship of the Theragun G3PRO and its accessories is impressive.Features & Performance:There are two speed settings controlled by a button above the power. One setting is 40 percussions per second and the other is 29 percussions per second, each delivering up to 60 lbs of force at a 16 mm stroke length. Whether I am trying to relieve muscle soreness or help prevent it in the first place, the G3PRO is quick and effective. It is like a foam roller and massager in one. I feel like I get the benefits of a targeted massage, like releasing knots, along with the benefits of a foam roller, like warming up or cooling down muscles prior to or post workout, respectively. To target hard-to-reach areas, the adjustable arm has four different angles. Whether I am sitting or standing, the adjustable arm allows me to accurately target just about every muscle group. Thanks to the adjustable arm, it is not difficult to target specific areas of pain or soreness. To further customize muscle treatment, the six attachments each have their purposes and benefits. The cone is pointed and best for small knots, the thumb is best for trigger points, the wedge is best for scraping shoulder blades, the standard ball is best for all-around use, the large ball is best for larger muscle groups, and the dampener is best for tender areas or near bones. Changing the attachments simply requires pulling one off and pushing another one on. The different attachments and the ability to change them out quickly allows for an effective full-body percussive massage in just minutes. There is even a Theragun mobile app available on the Apple App Store and Google Play that explains how to best use all the attachments. My final point is that the two included external batteries provide up to 75 minutes of battery life each. Having a backup battery is very convenient, and 75 minutes of battery life is impressive for a device that is delivering 60 lbs of force. The features and performance of the Theragun G3PRO definitely make it worthy of the “PRO” in the name.Verdict:The G3PRO is a phenomenal device built with impressive attention to detail and craftsmanship. Six attachments and an adjustable arm allow for a customized muscle treatment experience, and the two swappable 75 minute batteries help ensure that you never have to wait on a charge to reap the benefits of percussive therapy. The G3PRO is a professional device that everyone can benefit from, and I personally feel that it is worth every penny, especially if recovery and muscle therapy are highly important to you, or if frequent massages are a must. Treat yourself and get the Theragun G3PRO.

I was looking for something that maybe would help out for the in between times when she and I are both thinking 'should we call for an extra appointment?' When you are looking for something to replace an extra $50-$60 a month charge (or more), the rather steep price of the Theragun G3Pro doesn't seem as bad. It would only take a few months of doubling up therapy sessions to pay for the G3Pro.The Theragun is an impressive piece of equipment and you can tell that right upon opening the box. It is a solid piece of machinery and everything has a 'professional' feel to it, which is good because it is a professional device. I've seen these and other devices like it both in our massage place and physical terrorist (*ahem*, sorry) THERAPIST offices.Ok, I'm sure you really just want to know how well it works and whether it is worth your time or not. The answer to the first part is that it works awesome, once you get the hang of it. It will take some time to get good at this, I'm still not great at it despite having it for a week now and having a PT colleague of my wife show us how to use it best. I was VERY disappointed the first time I tried it and the gun went from painfully jabbing me, to feeling pretty good, to jackhammering off of my bones and setting my teeth rattling. The art to this device is knowing where you put pressure on and where you let the device 'float'. You also need to stick to muscle groups and ALWAYS avoid places were it is mostly bone (spine and such) because that is where you will get the jackhammering and some nice bruises (not kidding on that). Also, I highly encourage you to download the Theragun app for your phone and pay attention to what it shows for each are and follow their advice. You will not be using this for half an hour on your shoulders or wherever, you will be using it for a few minutes at most in each area and you might go over an area again after doing some rounds in other spots. This is NOT one of those inexpensive shiatsu massage devices you get by the checkout counter of some stores. It is designed to break up muscle tension and to activate muscles to start to recover from exercise. The answer to the second question above 'is it worth it?', is dependent on whether you are willing to learn how to use it properly. If you want something you can just absentmindedly use, get one of those $50 massage devices and call it a day or better yet, buy one of those $2000 chairs. If you just want someone else to do it with ethereal music and scented oils involved, just pay a masseuse. I would rather be able to knock out the pain and tightness on my own time and not worry about whether they have an opening or not and not have to spend the extra money if I don't have to. So for me, the Theragun G3Pro is worth its price.I knocked off one start only because I think they could use a little more instruction on how best for everyday bums like me to work it and I really wish it had an additional setting at the lower end. The lowest setting out of the two is ok for me but WAY too powerful for my wife who is a tiny 4'11'' thing. She does not like using the Theragun and will be getting extra massages when she needs them (so I guess I will only be saving money on my extra massages). As for the highest level, I don't even bother with that. I think that has to be for a pro to use on you so that they can best target it and control it.
I bought this on a sale at Best Buy back in August 2020. Me and my wife use it occasionally to help our sore muscles. She practices yoga and we both chase our toddler daughter when we aren't sitting at computers for our work. We only use the main attachment and usually use the lower setting most of the time. It helps with shoulders, back, and leg muscles for us. We don't need more than a ten to fifteen minute session at a time and we usually use it on each other. I need to stretch my back and legs more often as I'm over 40 years old, but the Theragun let's me put it off a little longer with a quick session. The battery lasts so long we only change it a few times a year. The spare battery is great. I think we tried the other attachments at first, but we just stick to the original. I only open the Theragun app if I want to perform deep tissue using the highest setting. I read about the 4th generation model which sounds cool since it has a OLED display and is supposed to be quieter with more speed adjustment. But it also seems to have some reviews of it not being reliable with attachment cracks or unit breaking. Hopefully they will get their quality under control.
Great massaging gun, its very comfortable, handle allows to operate it from different positions, and to massage even hard to get spots, like on the back and/or neck. It comes with a very nice carrying case, very sturdy and compact. Comes with two batteries and a charger. Its designed for several types of massages, in example, helps muscles to get ready for a workout, or to recuperate them faster after a workout. It also works for pain, like knots.I mainly use it for my back/neck pain, I have two bulging discs on my neck that cause knots on my shoulder muscles. This gun gives me instant relief after a short massage, finally a massaging apparatus that really works!I also used it on my partner, she suffers from calf cramps at night, 30 seconds on each calf before ... The science behind it, is that it improves blood flow in the muscles, thus oxygenating them better. Some of the PROS are:+ Two long lasting batteries, so you never ran out of power.+ Compact and sturdy carrying case, so you can take the gun with you anywhere.+ Several attachments for different types of massages.+ Excellent app that tells you which attachments to use for each type of issue, how much time to use it and how to.Some of the CONS:- Only two speeds, Id wish they had more steps on the speeds, some areas are very tender and I would like a little of more customization on that front.- A little heavy, so if you are older or fragile, you may need help from a friend/relative for some massages.
Finding THERAGUN is like striking gold!Somehow the designers figured out how to drive 2400 rpms in a cordless unit that puts the competition on its heels. For the less rugged or more tender areas, 1750 rpms is the stepped down setting.I got hooked on percussive massage years ago when I started with the corded Sharper Image THUMPER. Since I do percussion massage within a daily meditation, yoga, etc routine, I put a lot of miles on a body work machine; so, I had been on the lookout for an option with muscle penetration comparable to the THUMPER with a decent warranty. So when the engine burned out of my second THUMPER, I settled on BROOKSTONE's corded model as an interim solution, especially when their cordless model proved lackluster. Then comes THERAGUN ... As expected, the highest price point is the most accessorized; but, nonetheless, great for anyone at any level. The Pro is specially tooled for the seasoned or amateur athlete who trains for health and fitness as well as the professional athlete who may require more intensely therapeutic pre- and post- workout sessions.Without a partner or practitioner, you do need a level of muscularity, dexterity and creativity to maneuver the almost 3 lb device. The different grips, adjustable gunner affords easiest access to the front side while lying down, sitting or standing. Reaching the back and shoulders requires experimentation to find best gripping configurations. For instance lying down on my back and after loosening up my spine with a rolling motion, I curl my legs up to my chest or hold them straight up to easily reach feet, calves, backs of thighs, buttocks and hips.BTW, I didn't see the following suggestion in the manual; but, when gripping the pole that holds the hammering mechanism as secondary to the grip of the triangle, increased stability and ease can be achieved in adjusting pressure and angle while guiding the head to various target points.for front, the back and shoulders.Whether you are a practitioner or a 'civilian', the Pro offers 6 accessory heads that can be easily popped off and back on to switch between options. Favorite, so far, has been the Wedge to achieve a multitude of depths at different angles..As well, switching between the two levels of rpms (1750 to 2400) is an easy adjustment at the power switch to accommodate varying tolerances. If you like the convenience and cost efficiency of home based massage, this machine could make the LMTs nervous but best to stay calm because our growing and consuming populations will always require human touch in the final analysis. So, though the investment is high end, the machine is top shelf and worthy of, at the very least, exploration by the consumer to establish a basis for comparison to the lesser newcomers to the field.Download the THERAGUN App to locate nearby dealers to demo in person all of the brand's options and respective price points to make an informed decision.Thankfully, the APP offers a legible tour of the FAQs, financing options, easy online 2 yr warranty registration, a pictorial guide with action steps to address a variety of issues and conditions.Be sure to browse all pages because there are precautionary tips such as refrain from using the device on your head and neck, something I needed to hear because I have to default to my old, lighter device to avoid getting my hair tangled in the percussive motion of the Pro .Also, without APP tips on how to extend the life of the batteries AND the charger, I would not get the full value from my device.Unlike in other similar purchases, I also learned that THERAGUN and each of its attachments holds a specific warranty duration. So, read or later regret that you hadn't.BTW, the packaging is richly rugged and appointed beyond expectation!Comes with travel case, a charger for TWO Samsung lithium ion batteries, affording a quick rotation when/if more than a 75 min session is required.Cordless tech affords the freedom and flexibility l like in my lawnmower, my vacuum cleaners and now, with relief, in my percussive massager...and, hopefully, in an EV.For best results, use percussive massagers as tools that mobilize the body's circulation to 'take out the trash'. In other words, daily metabolic cellular activity creates waste product, athletic activity creates higher levels of interstitial inflammation and, moreover, detox protocols targeting heavy metals, chemicals, harmful microbes and PTSD, all create catarrh seeking release.Adjust your expectations to recognize that for optimal results, increased levels of body/mind work and nutrition are required to assist with the release of inflammation and the source of specific health challenges. Don't leave any stone unturned in the exploration of the multitude of homeopathics, botanicals, sarcodes, nosodes, minerals, flower essences, and their respective bioenergetic protocols to eliminate the culprits that drive a particular health challenge. But, like acupuncture and other body work tools, percussive massage is an essential but complementary tool for daily detox, pain management and the mitigation of premature aging. With rising industrial wastes in our food, air and water complicated by BigPharm and RecreationalPharm, our health issues are increasingly complicated and poly-systemic, requiring far more than a'silver bullet approach'.THERAGUN can assist the body within a comprehensive plan for stress management as well as the restoration and maintenance of optimal metabolic balance. While moving toxins into drainage pathways that are the lymphatic system, the lungs, the GI tract, the skin, do not suppress the expression of toxic waste from your tissues.Instead, celebrate when you cough up gunk and have increased bowel and renal activity. You are doing the right thing when you lighten the load on your immune system.I can frankly say THERAGUN PRO was my wisest choice of all options when I released more today than yesterday as compared to using my old, vastly less rigorous device.
I've owned this product for at least two months now and I am thoroughly impressed with it. Yes it is a higher priced item in comparison to other percussion devices out there however this product is extremely well made. What I like about the G3 pro is that it all comes in one awesome package where I don't have to purchase anything extra. Package comes with a beautiful carrying case, multiple attachments, charger, and 2 detachable batteries. The theragun has two speeds and I can turn on the device and use it without having to press and hold a button (like some other percussion guns). The neck of the device can be set in 4 different angles and with the newly designed triangular handle, it makes it easier to get to hard to reach areas (i.e. shoulder blades and lower ... In regards to sound, it is definitely quieter than a jigsaw but still a tad difficult to talk over the device if used in the second setting. I like the idea of having 2 swappable batteries so I can continue using the device without waiting to recharge it. I'm unsure whether the advertised 75 min per battery life is accurate as I am finding myself swapping batteries sooner than I anticipated -- it still runs long and I have not actually timed my usage on one battery. Recharging the batteries do not take very long (about <2 hours). The warranty period is 2 years in comparison to others that are up to 1 year. The theragun also has an app that helps guide you through using the device and how to treat certain muscle groups. This device can be used almost everywhere on the body except the neck and head. In regards to relief I have tense shoulder muscles. I find awesome relief after using the theragun in a short amount of time. It hasn't completely removed my knots but I am finding them to be softer. The theragun is definitely a great addition to my collection of massage tools.
I am a big believer in the benefits of massage therapy. Because of costs, this isn't sustainable very long periods of time. My wife and I both used the G3 and a single battery lasted long enough for both of us to feel better. The G3 Pro also comes with multiple attachments depending on what body part you're working on. We ended up using the largest attachment or overall work, but some of the others will work well for more targeted work. The other attachments cost $20/each, so this is a good value vs buying individual ones. The G3 also offers two different speeds. Honestly, I thought the highest speed was a bit aggressive, but I can see where it would be great on larger muscles like legs and back.My wife and I both fell in love with it. Having the ability to control how much pressure and where it's applied is a great benefit - without needing to schedule an appointment for a massage.
This is a pretty amazing gadget. I've found to be as useful as massage/chiropractic/PT (which I see all of for maintenance & to address problems before they become chronic) in some instances involving soft tissue muscle, but not in others such as nervy pain.Like anything it's hard to use consistently. I'm male & mostly use it for super sore post workout muscles. I cycle (indoors & out), do weight/cardio, landscaping & am just an active person. My hamstrings & abductor on one leg was giving me problems as I get back into shape and after some hard rides & squats & lunges & was getting some serious pain in my lower back. I ran this thing on my lower back, hips, and legs for a long time and got most of it worked out in a day or two.I've had times where I used it on ... MoreThis is a pretty amazing gadget. I ran this thing on my lower back, hips, and legs for a long time and got most of it worked out in a day or two.I've had times where I used it on my lower back before going to the chiropractor and he was surprised at how easily my sacrum area adjusted compared to normal.I've had a couple nerve issues from working out too hard that it's didn't seem to help on. One was my left shoulder blade to neck & shoulder area that I pinched something on while working out after being off workouts post-surgery. I had to let the specialists work that one out, this could never get the right spot loose because it was nerve not muscle, I believe. For the lower back I've had great success with it and will probably always have one from now on as injuries from my youth catch up to me in my 50's.It's awesome on sore calfs from running, feet including plantar fasciitis areas, hands, and all the big muscle groups. The different tips are useful but lately I've been just using the med or large soft ones and just softening everything up. I've used the pointy tip to get into my outer hips and glutes as well as my ql connections at my mid lower back, and that tip does work well. The app is kind of useless but has some ideas for how to use it. I have the model with 2 batteries and rotate them, you kind of need 2 if you have someone else who uses it also.
