Thierry Mugler Alien - 30ml Eau De Parfum Spray Refillable

Muglers perfumes are unique and definitely 'far out' from mainstream scents.Alien is alluring, dark, and mysterious. I'd say it's more of a night perfume since it tends to be a little heavier than say, Alien Extraordinaire. The main notes I get from it are sweet and sultry, but not a candy sweet - its more of a fruity sweet. After the sweet, a warm amber note emerges and mixes with the sambac jasmine. If I had to describe this very briefly, I'd say it smelled mysterious and also exactly the way the bottle looks - alien and indescribable, yet grape-y purple, with an enveloping warm golden amber. This is always going to be a favorite of mine. Mugler won me with this perfume, and rightfully so because Alien has been a cult classic since it came out in the early 2000s. ... MoreMuglers perfumes are unique and definitely 'far out' from mainstream scents.Alien is alluring, dark, and mysterious. I definitely recommend this scent, and if you happen to not be a fan of heavier date night parfums there are plenty of flankers from the Alien collection that are just as wonderful and full of personality. It's a collection that is hard to forget.

This is one of my all time favorite perfumes. The amber notes in this fragrance is out of this world. This fragrance is incredible, and goes so well with my natural body chemistry. I always get the little bottles, but I want the big one, so I can fill it up, instead of buying another small one. My boyfriend bought this second bottle for me. This scent has to be in my rotation at all times. You can wear it year round, but winter? Spray it in your hair, your jackets, scarf, hats, under your shirt, you will be irresistible to everyone. They will ask you what you are wearing. My fiancé loves this scent on me. It’s amber, vanilla, patchouli, it’s a beautiful fragrance, and actually lasts. This is a female fragrance, and might be too bold for the non confident woman. This ... MoreThis is one of my all time favorite perfumes. The amber notes in this fragrance is out of this world. I remember smelling this for the first time when I was in high school, and I hated it. I remember it smelling awful, so much so that I never smelled it again when perfume shopping. I came across it again for a hugely discounted price (the original Thierry Mugler formula before L’Oréal purchased the company) and decided to buy 3 bottles because I heard the reformulated version was displeasing to most people, and thought the original versions would make good gifts. I decided to try it again, since it had been like 8 years, so I kept a bottle and opened it and DANG I GET THE HYPE NOW. It’s a beautiful indolic, dirty jasmine that just lasts and lasts. The amber base notes are absolutely delicious as well, and I generally am not a fan of true, European style ambers, but ... MoreI remember smelling this for the first time when I was in high school, and I hated it. The amber base notes are absolutely delicious as well, and I generally am not a fan of true, European style ambers, but this is rich and resinous and gorgeous. In comparison to the new formula (the packaging says Mugler instead of Thierry Mugler), everyone is right. The deep earthy jasmine has been reduced to a commercial, soapy and summery fresh jasmine. The amber is undetectable and the longevity is garbage, so if you come across the original Alien and haven’t tried it, I can’t recommend it enough. It’s in my top 10 favorites easily.

I am a huge perfume junkie who loves to try any fragrance out there on the market. I had heard lots of great things about Alien so I picked up a travel spray before committing to a larger bottle, Most common statement I ever heard about Alien is you will either love it or hate it. I TOTALLY AGREE. Due to all of the excellent reviews I had read and heard about Mugler’s Alien, I thought I was well aware of what I was getting into when it comes to its unique note composition and creations as it moves throughout the scent profile. Boy was I naive. EVen though I had been forewarned by EVERY REVIEW OUT THERE, it is a mixture between unique, sweet, odiferous, and feminine in its initial contact with your skin. Boy was I naive. EVen though I had been forewarned by EVERY REVIEW OUT THERE, it is a mixture between unique, sweet, odiferous, and feminine in its initial contact with your skin. It is such a unique fragrance it may catch you off guard when you first spray it. While I like the opening and the end, the middle the song has some uniquely irritating notes. When I first reviewed this perfume, I assumed it was just one note that I could smell. But after trying this scent multiple times (yes, I am a glutton for punishment when it comes to fragrance) I came to realize that it isn’t a singular scent profile that creates that malodorous tension in the middle, but the combination of the unique notes in the perfume and their interaction with my body Chemistry. This odd note shows up around the 30 minute mark and while I still find it unappealing, on me, no one else smells what I do. I have asked family and friends if they could smell this off note and they couldn’t. In fact, so,me said it was slightly sweet, akin to vanilla. Even though the notes are Jasmine Sambac, Cashmere, and Sweet Amber Accord, i have never had a negative reaction when wearing those notes, so there has to be more to the story than what they list on their website. Because I have tried this scent so many times trying to figure out that middle, I don’t find it as unappealing as I did a few years back during my maiden voyage. However, I will admit I’m still not a fan of what my nose smells during that part of the Alien song. Thankfully the odd note doesn’t last forever. Within a couple hours it is has disappeared and is a pleasant smell once again. The dry down is by far my favorite part of Alien. It’s definitely different than your average dry down, but neither is it overwhelming like the beginning and middle. It has a sweet dry down with a hint of earthiness about it. While I believe you can wear fragrance whenever the heck you want, I really like Alien in the winter. It is a great scent that can transition from day to night in the colder weather without becoming unbearably heavy. The unique notes hold up to the cold air, which is the most important thing when looking for a scent to wear in the winter. Does the cold air seem to take a great fragrance and zap it right into oblivion? It is a darker scent that is quite exotic due to the brilliant play within the composition itself. Alien lasts about six hours on me before I feel I am pushing the limit of the scent. I think it would be better to refresh it at about the four to five hour mark, especially if you are wearing this out for the evening. While I swore I would never buy another travel spray of Alien, I have and I will continue to do so (but I should graduate up to a full size just to save money, at the very least), because it is so very unique and I want to understand it better than i, the amateur fragrance junkie, really can. Funny enough, I own a few Alien flankers, all purchased to better understand the Queen Bee, herself. Will I ever? I really don’t know, but I’m not going to give up trying. In the meantime, man do I smell good.

Smells like sexy grapes 🍇 in a bottle! Alien by Mugler is a captivating fragrance. This has quickly become one of my favorites and has blown everything else out of the water. I first bought a travel size after sampling the body lotion that caught my attention, at ulta and i loved it. It’s a pure jasmine, it’s very strong, it lasts 6+ hours, and there’s nothing really like it. It starts off with this jasmine bomb, then it morphs, and the woody cashmere comes out to play and it’s a dry powdery woody scent, then after a while the deep alluring amber comes out and it smells the best at this stage because it combines with jasmine. It wears the best in fall and winter months and maybe even spring if it’s cool enough. I’ve tried to wear this in the summer and it’s just ... MoreSmells like sexy grapes 🍇 in a bottle! After using up the travel size I went ahead and bought a 2.5 ml bottle from fragrancenet.com which had the best price at the time. No regrets!

Top notes: ginger and cinnamon Heart notes: orange blossom and tuberose Base notes: amber and vanilla Despite the bright red color of the bottle and some notes that are incorporated in it, I find the fragrance surprisingly "fresh". Not the fresh as you know from many scents, but "fresh" for Mugler perfumes. The ginger and cinnamon notes give it a nice warm and surprisingly spicy edge - especially for a women's perfume - but the tuberose and orange blossom come through wonderfully and provide a mature floral and unique fragrance combination. The added amber ensures that it has a warm base during the entire fragrance development while wearing and the vanilla gives a subtle sweet touch. As you notice: not a standard scent, but certainly one that you should sniff. And yet it is a very clear and recognizable Mugler Alien variant and therefore certainly a perfume that has been added to my daily stash since he came in. Also nice: I get a lot of compliments and questions when I wear this perfume :)

ALIEN BY MUGLER EDP 90ML, Is a deep mysterious scent that smells incredible wearing it at night. The dark purple bottle shaped of a talisman, reminiscent of the philosopher's stone, is something I have never seen before, intriguing and curious to what does this bottle mean and how does this smell. Amber takes center stage complemented with woodsy notes which creates a sunny jasmine scent which makes this a magic potion very captivating and very unique. I get compliments everytime I wear it asking What is that your wearing? Smells incredible. Well it is incredible, great if you like a woody scent that smells the same on everyone I know who has it. You can get a refill at Leading department stores.

Compliments every time I wear this & you will too

When your good friends boy friend asks you what perfume you’re wearing then tells my friend to get it. This happens a lot. Although, I really wish the bottle was better looking, the stuff inside it is what really counts. It is an absolutely amazing scent that lasts forever and never fades. I wear it days and nights but I could see how people would say this is a nighttime scent because it does have a sexy appeal to it. It isn’t too sweet or floral and has the most amazing and alluring aroma. I love how long lasting it is and that you don’t have to spray constantly throughout the day. In addition I really appreciate that the bottle can be refillable and that is something that is rare and very eco friendly. I want to try some of the other alien scents now. OLD FORMULA- 5/5, NEW FORMULA 2/5

I have been wearing Alien since 2009. It's my ride or die favorite perfume and I gotta tell ya, Loreal royally screwed up the formula since they acquired the company from Clarins. A few months back I was almost out of my last Alien bottle and I had ordered a new bottle for when I ran out. I ended up getting Covid later that month and lost my smell for a bit. When my smell came back, I had opened up the new bottle that came in the mail and it just didn't smell right to me. Months went by with me thinking that Covid had affected my smell and I could only half smell things, until I find out this week that good ol' Loreal reformulated the Alien perfume and made it weaker. I remembered that I had a travel size Alien I bought two years ago for trips and I got it out and VOILA ... IT SMELLED HOW IT SHOULD. Nothing was ever wrong with my nose, Loreal just RUINED the depth and the character of the Alien and made it a weak, watered down version that doesn't last. I could use ONE spray of the old formula and it would last 2 days.. four sprays of the new one doesn't even last 4 hours. PLEASE FIX THIS LOREAL!

a decade long fan and now it is not the same

I have been Alien fan for a decade or slightly less. I had my first perfume 1oz bottle engraved at Saks and it smell lasted for 6+ years. It had the most amazing staying power. Even spray on purse spray too. I don’t know what happened since L'Oreal USA took over or is it cutting corners, but this set has no lasting power at all. It’s so sad to learn this and it won’t stay on even one full hour. Pervious versions stayed even overnight. What happened? I’m very skeptical to buy a single bottle or refill. When refill I got at Nordstrom didn’t last one hour. I am about to give up completely. It’s highly disappointing. It used to stay on and my go to evening or hang out w girls type of perfume and turned many heads. Please fix Alien formula. Not the same.
