I also like a little sweet thrown in and even though this fragrance is not described as such I definitely smell of floral heart as they describe it. They describe this fragrance as being Sunkist citrus with a warmth of Amber and mix of florals. So even though it is not Written in the description there is definitely a floral note to this, something to be aware of, especially as they say this could be a unisex or genderless scent.I have read others describe this as having a powdery lingering, but I don’t smell any powder in this at all. I Would not likely wear this in the daytime, as it is a little on the heavy side but I would definitely wear it in the evening, to a function, or perhaps in the fall or winter. It is a very strong fragrance and not for the faint of heart. You will definitely get noticed. The way that it smells in the bottle and the way that it smells when you first apply it, is the smell that it dries too, at least in my case. I definitely smell orange flower, and peppercorn, and I imagine that warm scent that I detect is the amber. When I first applied you definitely smell each individual fragrance and the top ones that stand out are the orange flower, Amber, and most definitely the peppercorn. After about 10 minutes it settles into a nice blend. this is definitely a fragrance that could wear you if you don’t have the right chemistry and personality to wear it. For the right person this could very easily become their signature scent. I would say this is definitely warm And sexy and if you like it you will want to live in it and be enveloped in it because of the warmth. I definitely picture a souk in morocco, Or some other exotic place, definitely not a beach. While it is definitely unique and an intriguing fragrance it is not me enough to justify paying the price.

It is reminiscent of a beach bonfire, near a lush rainforest, a setting that you would find on a remote island in the western Caribbean. It is heady, sensual, and unlike any other fragrance I have ever experienced. It is indeed long lasting, and one single, or two at most spritzes will stay with you for hours.

The fragrance notes/accords which make up Soleil Brulant are Pink Pepper, Mandarin Orange, Bergamot, Honey/Black Honey, Orange Blossom, Resin, Olibanum, Amber, Woody Notes, Leather, Vetiver. It all sounded very promising to me....But for me, both in the air and on the skin, something in this mix just does NOT work. I don't know if the scent goes wrong somewhere among the sweet notes, too many sweets, or burnt sweets; or whether the scent goes wrong with the resins or woods or leather. Something somewhere smells burnt to me, and it is like a migraine fish hook directly up one nostril into my brain. More power to all the people who are enjoying it! I wish it worked for me, better luck next time, right?

At $350 for a 1.7 oz bottle, it is not priced for me...a middle class person where spending $350 doesn't hurt me, but spending that much on perfume, even a luxurious perfume, would be irresponsible. Instead, I would spend half that amount for a classic women's perfume such as Chanel No. 5, CK Obsession, and YSL Opium. The scent is very strong, so a little goes a long way! Just one spritz lasted me an entire evening out. I think it would be perfect to wear in the Fall and Winter. When I smell it I think of warmth, spices like cloves and star anise, and also the Fall colors orange, sage green, creams and browns. It's a comforting scent and one that many people like, since I have been complimented on it each time I wore it.

The scent is bold and unique, dark and mysterious, and geared towards a more mature crowd. You will definitely get noticed while wearing it. The initial spritz is shockingly and unexpectedly strong. I was able to catch a brief whiff of the fruity and citrusy mandarin orange and bergamot notes before the spiciness of the pink pepper took over. The scent does transition well from the top notes to the orange blossom and honey middle notes but is mellow compared to the stronger base notes especially the Resin, amber and olibanum which ultimately overpower in the end. Then I sprayed it on my skin and it somehow initially morphed into a cloying floral scent that reminds me of something my grandma would wear. Upon arrival I immediately opened the box to find a pretty white and gold box inside, after opening that box, the bottle is a beautiful gold and just looks so stunning! Of course I had to try it immediately, the first spray was pretty overpowering but the scent settles down quite nicely. This is nothing like a scent I would ever choose for myself but I was pleasantly surprised at how much I loved this. I have used this for weeks almost daily to give the best review that I could.
